"You… how dare you treat me like this?! I am a god! A GOD!"
At first, Loki's voice was weak, barely holding together.
But as he spoke—
His emotions erupted.
His voice suddenly rose, filled with indignation.
And yet…
Despite the dramatic declaration, there was something almost pitiful about it.
Thud!
Peter slammed him straight into the ground.
Then—
Pulled him back up by the collar again.
"A god?" Peter tilted his head slightly, looking him up and down. "You're a pretty weak one."
He gave him a light shake.
"Got anything more meaningful to say? Something… a little more impressive?"
…
By now, Tony had arrived from above.
On the ground, Hulk and Quicksilver had also reached the scene.
The three immediately spread out, forming a defensive perimeter around Peter, intercepting the incoming Chitauri forces.
Meanwhile—
Loki, having taken another brutal hit, was completely dazed.
Blood covered his face.
His eyes had lost focus.
It took Peter roughly shaking him again before he snapped back to reality.
And when he did—
The look in his eyes had changed.
Fear.
Pure, unmistakable fear.
"I—I surrender!" Loki blurted out. "Stop! Please—stop hitting me!"
Peter nodded, satisfied.
"Now that's more like it."
Tony, having handed control of the War Machine platform over to J.A.R.V.I.S., descended in his Mark VII suit.
Hearing Loki's plea, he landed nearby and immediately turned his attention to the device behind them—the portal generator.
"Then shut it down," Tony said sharply. "Call off your army. End this."
He leaned closer to Loki, clearly resisting the urge to blast him on the spot.
Judging by Loki's current condition…
One shot might actually kill him.
But Loki shook his head weakly.
"Once the portal is open… it can't be closed."
His voice trembled slightly.
"This is magic. The energy sustaining it comes from the Tesseract. It will only shut down when that energy is depleted."
Tony frowned.
He ran a quick scan.
The structure was indeed magical in nature—not technological.
Not his field.
And just as Loki said—
A self-sustaining energy barrier protected it from external interference.
"So when does that energy run out?" Tony asked impatiently.
Above them, the thunder of battle continued.
The War Machine platform was firing relentlessly, holding back the tide.
More Chitauri poured through the portal without end.
…
At Tony's question—
Both Loki and Peter looked at him like he'd just asked something absurd.
"The Tesseract's energy is practically infinite," Peter said calmly. "If you're waiting for it to run dry… you might as well wait for the universe to end."
With that, Peter lifted Loki again.
In his other hand, he picked up the scepter that had been knocked aside earlier.
Step by step—
He walked toward the portal.
Above them, the sky was still filled with Chitauri forces, stretching endlessly into the distance.
"I'll give you one minute," Peter said flatly.
His voice carried no emotion.
"Call them off. Shut down the portal."
He looked directly into Loki's eyes.
"One minute."
"If you can't do it…"
A pause.
"I kill you."
There was no negotiation.
No debate.
Just a final ultimatum.
Loki's body trembled.
Fear overtook him completely.
"D-Don't kill me!" he stammered. "I—I'll think of something! Give me the scepter—I can close the portal!"
Under the threat of death—
Even the God of Mischief faltered.
Peter handed him the scepter without hesitation.
But his gaze remained sharp.
Watching.
Waiting.
Clutching the scepter, Loki staggered toward the portal array.
Magic surged.
Energy pulsed.
A strange force spread outward—
And then—
With a soft crack—
A gap appeared in the barrier.
…
And in the next instant—
Loki dove inside.
"Hah… hahaha!"
His laughter rang out—shrill, unhinged.
Inside the protective field, his battered face twisted into a manic grin.
"You fool!" Loki sneered. "Did you really think I would close the portal?"
His voice rose, dripping with madness.
"You pathetic, ignorant mortal! You dare lay hands on a god?!"
"I will kill you—I will kill all of you!"
He spread his arms wide, reveling in his perceived victory.
"I'll stay right here and watch as the Chitauri wipe you out! I'll turn this planet into ash—no…"
His grin widened.
"I'll tear it apart completely!"
Inside the barrier, protected by the Tesseract's energy—
Loki felt invincible.
Untouchable.
Outside, an endless army.
Inside, absolute safety.
No one could reach him.
No one could hurt him.
"I've already won!" he declared, laughing wildly.
"Now kneel!"
His voice dripped with arrogance once more.
"Beg me—beg to become my servant! Kiss the feet of your king, Loki!"
He sneered.
"Though even then… I might still refuse."
"I want to see you die. All of you!"
…
In his mind—
He could already see it.
Peter, broken.
Begging for mercy.
But then—
Something felt off.
"…Why aren't they moving?"
Loki blinked.
His laughter faltered.
He looked forward—
Through the barrier.
And froze.
Peter.
Tony.
Hulk.
All of them—
Were just standing there.
Looking at him.
Like he was an idiot.
Peter even tilted his head slightly…
Then shook it.
As if Loki wasn't even worth taking seriously.
"…Did you finish?" Peter asked casually.
He rubbed his neck slightly.
"Honestly, I don't like enclosed spaces."
He glanced at the barrier.
"Even if I can see outside… the atmosphere's just not great."
He stretched lightly.
"So yeah…"
"I'm heading out."
Loki's eyes widened.
He slowly turned around—
Behind him—
A silver-haired figure stood casually.
Quicksilver.
"I've got a bit of claustrophobia too," Pietro said lazily.
Before Loki could react—
A blur.
The scepter vanished from his hand.
Peter had never trusted Loki.
The moment the barrier opened—
Quicksilver had already slipped inside.
Undetected.
…
From the outside—
It had looked like Loki was just… ranting.
"Wait—no! Don't!"
Loki's voice cracked.
Panic flooded his face.
"Stop! Don't open it—DON'T!"
But it was too late.
Quicksilver casually tapped the barrier with the scepter.
The energy field—
Collapsed.
The portal array—
Was exposed.
Loki's face turned deathly pale.
And outside—
Peter smiled.
Cold.
Amused.
"…No…"
Loki's legs gave out.
He collapsed onto the ground with a dull thud.
…
In that moment—
Peter Parker—
Had become his nightmare.
That brutal beating…
Had shattered him completely.
And now—
As reality closed in—
Loki broke.
