I entered the Sefirah Castle.
'I am aware.' I answered the woman's prayer.
Quickly leaving the Sefirah castle and making my way towards the west gate, I quickly made one of the wolves my marionette and switched locations with it.
Quickly adding a worm of spirit to the wolf's marionette.
It then took my place as the one doing the divination.
********************************************
Entering the forest, it was dense and quite refreshing even. It had been a long time since I had done any trip in nature.
After I had completed my master's, I had been searching for jobs all over the place. I had also transmigrated only a couple of days before my internship at ASML, and so I had little to no time left for vacation.
I sighed. While these memories were good and I did miss my friends and family, for some reason this place felt more exciting and made me feel more alive than anything.
Truth be told. I wasn't really keen on going back
I took out a cane and the blue pendant from the void of history.
'The location of the owner of this blue pendant'
The crane fell towards the northeast.
After walking for a couple of minutes, I repeated the procedure again.
On the third try, I could already sense the blood in the air; I was about a kilometer away from the child.
I guess being a demonic wolf had its merits.
I quickly followed the scent of the blood, and when I could feel their presence, I stopped.
I then changed my face to one with more defined features and darker skin.
Furthermore, I changed my clothes to those of a magician, similar to Merlin Hermes. Of course, I won't be using that name. The only reason I stuck with "fool" was because it was cool and fancy.
I then went towards the duo.
*************************************
I bowed my head and greeted them as I looked at the duo and spoke in a calm and warm voice.
"Greetings, gentlemen. It seems you are in need of this magician's help."
The father was suddenly on guard; of course, he had never seen me.
I continued, "It's alright, Mr. Elliot; I am not here to harm you."
The father stood there as if a chill ran down his spine before picking himself back up. He spoke. "Who are you? How do you know us? Are you from the bandits?"
I nodded negatively before speaking. "I am Oz, the Great Magician. I am one of many blessed by The Fool , who has sent me here to change fate.
It seems your child Arthur is going to die if we don't treat his wound."
Elliot, reigning in his rationality, spoke. "Are you certain you can treat my child?"
I said, "As long as he isn't dead, I can treat him just fine."
Elliot's demeanor turned calm before backing off.
I sat near the child who had passed out due to excessive blood loss and took out a paper substitute and brought it near the wound.
'Damage Transfer,' and the wound suddenly vanished. I then made the chances of the child waking up near 100.
And very quickly the child woke up with a hint of confusion but quickly looked at his leg, which, to his surprise, was completely healed as if there had never been an arrow that had struck him before.
He then looked around and spotted his father, who was in awe and looked at me before speaking, "What did you do, mister?"
I smiled a little before speaking. "Smart, to piece together so quickly only after just waking up."
I then looked at the father and then the child before bringing my hand to the heart and speaking, "Praise the Fool."
The father quickly followed me and did the same; the kid, on the other hand, didn't seem to understand the entire situation.
The father looked at me and bowed as tears began to flow from his eyes; it seemed he had been trying very hard to keep his cool and attempt to heal his child.
I then nodded before leaving and vanished. Furthermore, I turned the nearest monsters into marionettes.
And raised their bodies to Sefirah Castle.
********************************************************************
After that I had taken 3 more clients
It seems the Magician, the Faceless, and the Seer had been digested to a great extent.
I could actually feel the difference; an unknown weight had been decreased, still there, but the amount had most certainly been lessened.
Using this sensation, I quickly made some divinations regarding my state.
After analyzing the results, it seemed that while Antignous might have felt no difference before or after digestion of characteristics, the will had merged not just with the body but also with the mind.
I, on the other hand, could tell the difference due to the impact made by the will on the mind. I wonder if it's the same with Amanises.
When suddenly I heard a ring in my ears, it was a woman; I was sure it might be the old lady expressing her gratitude.
But the tone felt a little different.
I closed my shop and left for the inn.
****************************************
Inside my room, I entered the Sefirot, and there I saw a crimson glow coming from a familiar star, more correctly Amanises's star.
I don't think a week had been passed for us to meet this quickly
I summoned her in Sefirah Castle.
This time she was in her wolf form. I looked at her before sighing and spoke
"What happened?"
Amanises took a moment in time before speaking. "That's exactly what I am here to ask.
After leaving the spirit world and finding the right place to settle and find believers, I decided that it was enough exploring, and since it was a dark time, I decided to sleep to act as a human, and the next day I woke up to this form.
It's a good thing that I am the Servant of Concealment; otherwise, it would have been a disaster."
I paused for a moment before asking, "How long had you been transmigrated?"
Amanises answered quickly. "If the day I met you is taken as reference, 3 days before it"
I nodded; it was the same time as when I had transmigrated. I am surprised I hadn't asked about such important information.
Okay, I had realized what had occurred. I said, "Within this journey of 3 months, you and I have been very close, with the distance between us no less than 1 kilometer. It seems my range ended once you left the spirit world."
Amanises quickly asked, "Then what should I do to get my human from this form?" "It feels so off; it also makes me feel closer to those cruel wolves."
I nodded and said, "It's simple, actually. Get a spokesperson; that is the fastest way for you to do so."
Amanises looked at me dumbfounded before she remarked, "Have you lost control?"
I sighed and continued, "This is no longer the world of the Eastern Continent, where the humans run the moment they see a wolf like us. Do not doubt the curiosity of humans; the fear solely exists because of unfamiliarity.
You can choose just one human and ask him to spread the word of the Evernight Goddess; the faster you can do it, the more easily you can interact with humans."
Amanises nodded as she listened contentedly. I then added, "The acting method I told you about."
Amanises nodded as she added, "The key is in the name of the potion. I am a virus in the eyes of the characters and so on and so forth."
I nodded and continued, "Yes, you remember the name I gave you, correct?"
Amanises nodded, and I further continued, "Yes, now is a good time to act like them. I also have an experiment for the both of us."
Amanises "A new experiment? It's related to the acting method, and since acting is done to prevent loss of control and will, I guess that has something to do with it."
I nodded; it's so easy when you have a competent comrade; you don't have to spell out your ideas.
"But we mystical creatures wouldn't be able to distinguish between our will or the will of the GOO.
But, when I attempted digestion, I could tell the difference acting made on the mind, not the body but the mind, and with that I have a hypothesis: we are a special type of mystical beings who don't possess the will of GOO, and thus acting actually works on us."
Amanises who had been turned into her human form after getting in range of the illusion, pondered.
"Sigh, I suppose that does make sense, but won't that entail other caveats that born mystical beings don't have to deal with, such as fine control over our own abilities and other fine details? Now that I remember, God of Wishes could do a lot more with his wishes; you, on the other hand, haven't done much with wishing. And the same with my own abilities; I am pretty sure a servant of concealment can do way more things and quite complexly at that.
Damn, this was something that even Antignous even warned me about; that means it's an inherent trait of us cheaters who took an entirely wrong path of advancement.
I nodded and sighed before saying, "Well, there is the disadvantage of having sharp comrades."
"You know something, don't you?"
"Yes, back when you lost control and put me in a dream, I met the true Antignous, and it was thanks to his understanding that I was able to help you recover."
"Whaaat?" but Amanises quickly sighed and then continued with a much calmer tone. "And can I know the reason for hiding such information?"
"Well, I wasn't sure that it was the real him; it might have been that I made a split personality due to the sudden influence of godhood. It had happened in the novel as well, so I decided to do my own checking before bringing it up, but it seems that won't be necessary."
Amanises nodded before sighing. "Let's deal with these matters later on; there is far too much that we don't know to go around testing."
I added, "Well yeah, I mean, we have a lot of time before we even make a move, roughly about 3 to 5 years give or take."
Amanises nodded before asking, "Isn't that a lot of time? Gregace and Flegria won't wait for us?"
I nodded before speaking, "Grisha will keep an eye on them."
Amanises nodded as I severed the connection between her and me and left Sefirah Castle.
