Chapter 154 - Depature

The six quickly gathered once more. Getting out of here was easy — the president had handed them a beacon device that, once activated, would connect straight to the portal underneath the Pentagon. 

So the problem wasn't leaving; it was who they were leaving the survivors to. 

It wasn't possible for them to abandon the civilians as they were. The situation would quickly worsen without a leader and a properly sorted structure. 

The civilians needed soldiers to hunt meat. They needed builders to construct more homes. 

They needed to piece this place back into a functional society before the group left. If not, then they were just leaving a heap of snacks at the Bloodborne's doorstep. 

"Elaine, were there any outstanding individuals you can recommend?" Uriel asked after brooding for a while. 

They didn't need much — just someone who could hold things together until the military arrived.
