"Look at how you put it, who am I? Who are you?" Leticia rolled her eyes. Was she, the Demon King, supposed to painstakingly tell those few heroes, 'You're doing it wrong, the weakness of the Demon Race is actually this'?
Are you kidding me? If she did that, wouldn't she, the Demon King, turn into a traitor to the Demon Race?
"It's still early, why don't we stroll around here for a while longer?" Melanie suggested.
"I'm being pushed by you right now, so you can go wherever you want."
"A love hotel?"
"You dare?"
"Let's go have lunch first, even though it's past lunch time." Melanie gave an awkward laugh; Leticia's reaction was still just as tough. "There are way more restaurants here than where we are."
The Hero Association was located in the most prosperous part of Central City, and nearby was the largest commercial district of Central City. Here, all kinds of treasures sent from all over the world gathered; there was nothing you couldn't find, only things you couldn't imagine.
After watching the performance of those three heroes, Melanie felt that since it was so difficult to get out alone with Leticia, it would be a real pity not to make the most of the daytime, so she brought Leticia to the commercial district next to the Association, intending to stroll around.
Although neither of them had anything they wanted to buy, for Melanie, being able to be alone with Leticia was already a quite rare occurrence.
She wanted to make this time spent alone last longer.
However, someone quite inopportunely intruded upon the two-person world that Melanie had been longing for.
The Songstress didn't know where she had popped out from. She was dressed sneakily at this moment, with a large black scarf wrapped around her neck to cover her mouth, and a pair of huge sunglasses on her face to cover her eyes; the only things she had exposed on her entire face were her two nostrils.
At first glance, one would feel that this big star was quite suspicious, looking just like a villain in a movie who likes to blow things up.
"Malanie, Miss Sukina." The Songstress greeted Melanie and Leticia.
"Songstress..."
"Shh, don't say that name here." The Songstress quickly interrupted Leticia's outburst. "I had such a hard time dodging those annoying paparazzi."
"Oh, so Miss Zi dressed up like this to avoid those reporters, right?" Leticia quickly figured everything out.
"Yeah, being a big star is super tiring." The Songstress sighed. "I don't even have any private space; I have to be careful even when I want to find someone to talk to."
"So, did you come to find us on purpose?" Melanie asked with a frown.
"Yeah, there are some rather private questions I'd like to ask you two." The Songstress nodded. She pointed to a large hotel not far away and said to the two, "Let's go over there to talk, and have a meal while we're at it."
"Your treat?"
"Of course, I'm the one asking for your help, how could I let you two pay?" The Songstress said with a smile.
Melanie frowned; she didn't really want to agree.
It was clearly a two-person world she had worked so hard to secure, and now a third party popped in; just thinking about it was annoying.
But Leticia didn't have so many thoughts. She only knew that she could get a free meal and avoid being alone with Melanie; this deal couldn't be more worthwhile.
"Okay, okay." And so, she agreed immediately.
A resentful gaze landed on Leticia's back, making her involuntarily feel a chill.
Where did this gaze come from? There was no need to even think about it. Besides a certain Miss Sword Saint whose plans had fallen through, who else could it be?
Regarding this, Leticia expressed that if Melanie wasn't happy, then she was super happy. She just liked building her own happiness on Melanie's pain.
Not convinced? If you're not convinced, come and hit her. Would Melanie dare?
She wouldn't dare.
Eh, she's just being cheeky.
"I've been here many times; their confidentiality measures are quite good." Bringing the two girls into the private room she often booked, the Songstress took off her scarf and sunglasses and sighed with relief. "Wearing these things is just too torturous."
It seems that the Songstress, just like Leticia, is someone who doesn't really like to disguise herself.
"Um, I wonder what question the Songstress wants to ask us?" Melanie sat in the chair and went straight to the point.
Since they were already sitting here waiting for the food to be served, she might as well honestly solve the Songstress's problem.
"Uh, actually, it's my personal... relationship problem." The Songstress's eyes drifted, and her fair cheeks were dyed with a flush of crimson.
"Ah, relationship problems." Leticia blinked blankly. She didn't seem to have any experience with this kind of problem either.
Leticia, single since birth for over twenty years, had never felt anything for anyone.
And this one, Melanie, was even more outrageous. She set her sights on Leticia basically because Leticia was pretty, and currently, the progress between the two girls couldn't be said to be zero, but it could be said that they hadn't moved a single step.
Leticia was still the same tsundere, only that at times she couldn't help but cuddle up to Melanie, but Leticia swore that it wasn't because she was moved, but simply because she coveted Melanie's body.
She was just that shallow of a person.
"I think I've fallen for one of my juniors." The Songstress fidgeted as she took out her phone and opened the photo album. "Look, it's this girl."
"Hmm... hmm?!" Leticia looked closely; wasn't this the pretty girl who played the human heroine in that movie a few days ago?
"It's her, right?"
"It's her."
After a back-and-forth with Melanie, Leticia confirmed that this girl was the female lead from the movie the day before yesterday.
"You've seen her movie too?" The Songstress asked.
"We just saw it the day before yesterday. Her acting is very good, it's a pity the script was a bit terrible." Leticia nodded, then she poked Melanie with her hand. "It's your turn, give her some advice on how to pursue a girl."
"I haven't even successfully pursued you yet; wouldn't giving her advice be misleading her?" Melanie retorted in a low voice.
Malanie's relationship experience was undoubtedly quite a failure; having her guide the Songstress made her fear that she would lead her senior straight into a ditch.
Besides, having said that... the age gap between the Songstress and this girl, isn't it a bit too big?
