Chapter 94 - Chapter 94: Is Sharon Coming Back? 1/3

"Archbishop Aishala, aren't you going to eat?"

Annie had already gone downstairs to prepare to bring up the meal, but Aishala hadn't touched the small cake in front of her at all.

"I'm not eating." Aishala shook her head, seemingly uninterested in this kind of dessert.

"It's really delicious." Syl used a small fork to spear the cake in front of her, as if demonstrating for Aishala, and stuffed a full mouthful into her mouth.

"Mmm—delicious."

While speaking, Syl scooped up a small spoonful of Aishala's cake, then lifted it up in front of Aishala: "Try it."

Aishala pursed her lips, her brows furrowing imperceptibly. She really wanted to remind Syl that Syl had already put the entire fork into her own mouth.

But looking at Syl's bulging cheeks and her smiling, slightly squinted eyes, Aishala found she couldn't bring herself to say anything.

"Sigh..." With a soft sigh, Aishala stretched her neck forward, parted her lips slightly, and, mimicking Syl, ate the small piece of cake in one bite.

Seeing Aishala eat the cake, Syl struggled to swallow the cake in her own mouth, then looked at Aishala excitedly and asked: "Is it good?"

"Mhm." Aishala nodded. Although she preferred bitter coffee over desserts, it was better not to disappoint the child right now.

"Yay~" Seeing this, Syl speared another piece of cake and held it out in front of Aishala, "Ah—"

But this time, Aishala turned her head to the side, refusing to open her mouth no matter what.

Syl, who had originally wanted to indulge in the urge to feed someone, saw her plan fall through and disappointedly retracted the fork, saying: "If you won't eat it, I will."

Immediately after, Syl ate the cake in one bite.

"Eh..." Aishala opened her mouth slightly and raised her right hand; she had originally wanted to stop Syl—because the fork was still covered in her saliva.

But Syl seemed not to care at all, and just used that same fork to eat the rest of the cake.

Seeing Aishala raise her hand, Syl even paused and looked at Aishala in confusion, but Aishala had already withdrawn her hand and lowered her head, so Syl couldn't see her expression.

"Archbishop Aishala's personality is truly strange..." Syl sighed silently to herself.

Syl didn't have as much internal drama going on as Aishala; she simply felt that getting a little saliva on things after feeding a child was perfectly normal, and Syl didn't care at all.

She hadn't even considered that she was essentially kissing Archbishop Aishala indirectly.

By the time Annie brought up dinner, Aishala had already left, leaving Syl with a copy of "Collection of Low-Level Divine Arts" for her to read when she had time.

Annie had brought up a meal for two, and since Archbishop Aishala was no longer there, at Syl's invitation, Annie stayed behind to finish the meal with her.

After eating, Annie tidied up and took everything back downstairs, while Syl took the "Collection of Low-Level Divine Arts" into the bathroom, reading it while soaking in the bath.

The more she read, the more Syl felt how useless the Divine Arts she had acquired were.

Every promotion felt like drawing cards; everyone acquired different Divine Arts based on their aptitude. Even Divine Arts that looked identical actually had their own differences.

Therefore, this book only roughly listed a few major categories, and then each person would search through the index according to the specific effects of their own Divine Arts.

It felt just like a dictionary.

"Negative type... Curse category... Uh, found it—" Syl found her Hand of Suffering in the book; the Divine Art's effect was similar to the system's description.

It belonged to the very common type of Divine Art, described in the book as: "An attack method that almost all church members have or have as their only one."

However, her Hand of Redemption seemed to have other effects; she wondered if this Hand of Suffering had any surprising effects.

She hoped so... After all, it was hard enough for her main body to get an attack skill, and Syl still hoped her skills could be a bit special.

But she definitely couldn't try it on herself; after all, even the Hand of Redemption had mediocre effects when used on herself. It seemed that when Divine Arts were cast on oneself, the effects were correspondingly weakened.

After washing up and drying her hair, Syl lay on the bed and muttered: "I hope everything goes smoothly tomorrow..."

Syl would set off for the Ivisa District early tomorrow morning to make her preparations in advance.

During her chat with Jane yesterday, Syl had already learned that Frank would be staying in the Iviza West District recently; he was in a detached house next to the factory, seemingly to intimidate those workers who might go out to testify for Jane.

Although she was in the Holy See, Syl wasn't very willing to recall what happened in the morning. However, as soon as she closed her eyes now, she seemed to be able to see William hanging by the wardrobe, staring at her fixedly with his eyes that were about to pop out from being strangled.

"Avenge me—"

Although she had never heard William's voice, Syl felt as if she could hear his voice and feel his pain.

This seemed to be a negative effect brought about by the potion, because at this moment, Syl's mind was full of ravings like: "Don't get involved in this matter."

"Go to hell." Although she knew it was useless, Syl still silently retorted to the ravings in her heart.

After retorting, Syl closed her eyes, ignored the nagging in her brain, and forced herself to fall asleep.

The next day.

When the first rays of the morning sun shone down, Syl opened her eyes.

As soon as she opened her eyes, Syl saw Aishala sitting on a stool next to her, watching her silently.

This suddenly gave Syl a feeling similar to an early-rising grandmother sitting by the bed, watching her sleeping granddaughter.

It was incredibly absurd.

Syl rubbed her eyes and asked in a soft voice: "Is something the matter? Archbishop Aishala."

"Come back, early." Aishala looked at Syl and said word by word, "Tonight, Sharon, returns."

"Sister Sharon is coming back?" Hearing Aishala suddenly mention this, Syl was quite surprised.

After all, ever since she became a Saint and went to the Hope Cathedral once, Sharon had gone to attend the Papal Conference and had been there ever since.

It had been so long that it made Syl wonder if Sharon had gone on vacation.

"Okay, then I'll be back early." Syl nodded, indicating that she understood this matter.

Seeing Syl nod, Aishala didn't continue speaking. After replenishing a small golden shield for Syl, she stood up and walked outside.

When Aishala was about to leave, Syl called out to her. Syl looked at Aishala and said: "Archbishop Aishala, could you... please wake me up next time you come in."

Originally, Syl wanted to say something about knocking on the door, but thinking that she would wake up if there was knocking anyway, it was better to just have Aishala wake her up.

Otherwise, Syl felt a bit scared, not knowing how long she had been watched while sleeping like this.

"Okay."

Aishala nodded and walked out of the room.

And Syl, after washing up, put on her classic black robe, checked her belongings, and walked straight downstairs.

The people who bully the weak are going to be in trouble.
