Chapter 45 - Chapter 45: Master Diviner, Something Terrible Has Happened!

Divination Commission.

Qingque was currently engrossed in watching Xiao Guizi's livestream.

From the Herta Space Station to Jarilo-VI, she hadn't missed a single beat of the story so far. This game was incredibly fascinating! Watching Xiao Guizi's stream was so entertaining she could finish two bowls of rice just by looking at the screen. One could say she was completely addicted; she hadn't even touched a mahjong tile for nearly two days!

However, at this moment, the plot had finally pointed toward the Xianzhou Luofu!

Not only had Yanqing appeared, but even General Jing Yuan had made an entrance!

Previously, she could watch it with zest as if it were a brilliant phantasmagoria because the events had nothing to do with her or the Luofu. No matter how much trouble the Astral Express or the Stellaron Hunters caused elsewhere, it was just entertainment to her.

But now... the "entertainment" had landed right on her own head!

She couldn't stay calm anymore.

...

"It looks like the next part of the story is going to happen on the Luofu!"

"Where's that person who claimed to be March 7th? You promised ten Express Supply Passeswhen are you sending them to me?"

"Hey! How are you all still so calm? This plot involves the Luofu. If things go south, Xiao Guizi might get her account banned!"

"Surely it's not that serious?"

"How is it not! Do you even know who that man in the clip was? That's the Stellaron Hunter, Blade! The Company has a bounty of 81.3 billion on him!"

"The Luofu is in danger! Someone go notify the Divination Commission! Notify the General!"

"Increase the guard at the Shackling Prison!"

...

Watching the comments from the viewers, Qingque's heart began to race. She felt an overwhelming sense of impending doom!

It was said that every bit of the game's plot so far had corresponded perfectly with reality. Was it now starting to prophesy the future? Furthermore, whenever the main storyline was involved, something massive was bound to happen. It was like the King of Hell calling out names on a ledger, and now, he had called out the Luofu!

"This is bad! The days of peace are over!"

Qingque's only thought was to report this to the Master Diviner immediately. That way, if things went wrong, it wouldn't fall on her shoulders. As long as she told the Master Diviner, then even if the sky fell, her boss would be the one to hold it up.

With that thought, Qingque didn't even stop to wipe her mouth before sprinting toward Fu Xuan's office within the Divination Commission.

"Master Diviner, something terrible has happened!!"

Inside the office, Fu Xuan's lip twitched slightly as she looked at the frantic figure at the door. She spoke with an air of authority, "Qingque!"

"You and I are both diviners. Usually, we operate with ritual and calculation, emphasizing composure and inner fortitude. Running about in such a panic that the entire Commission can hear youwhere is your sense of decorum?"

"I didn't want to be like this, but this is an emergency," Qingque explained breathlessly.

"What is it? Speak."

Five minutes later.

Qingque wiped the sweat from her brow. She had poured out everything she knew and understood about the game Honkai: Star Rail in one go, though she wasn't sure if the Master Diviner had actually followed it all.

Fu Xuan closed her eyes in silence, appearing to be lost in thought. A few seconds later, she finally spoke. "This game... can actually predict the future?"

"Absurd! Ridiculous!"

"You stayed up all night playing cards again, didn't you? You're clearly still dreaming."

"Master Diviner, I've been wronged! I haven't touched a card in two days! I've been... I mean, I've been observing the contents of this game!" Qingque looked utterly aggrieved. "Every word I've said is the truth. Master Diviner, look at this video!"

Qingque was about to search the forums for a clip of the "Of five people..." cinematic when she suddenly froze. Her phone slipped from her hand with a loud thwack as it hit the floor.

"What now?"

Qingque scrambled to pick up the phone, blowing off the dust. "Master Diviner, the developer, Yu Ling, just posted another video!"

"It's a short film called Flash!"

Fu Xuan took the phone. She saw that the cover of the video featured General Jing Yuan. His eyes were wide with fury, capturing a glimpse of him in the middle of a battle against a powerful foe.

"So what? There are countless products in the Luofu that try to ride the General's coattails for publicity. I even drank a cup of 'General Jing Yuan's Highly Recommended' Steamed Goat Milk this morning."

"My Lady, why don't you just try clicking on it?"

"Fine, I'll try it."

Qingque hadn't seen the video yet, but she was entirely confident in the developer. When it came to being unpredictable, Yu Ling never disappointed. He only produced the hard-hitting stuff!

Whoosh...

The sound of intense airflow came from the video. The first thing that met their eyes was a desolate ruin. Debris floated in the air, surrounded by shattered stones. In the background hung an eerie blue-purple curtain of light.

Accompanied by a flash of sword-light, the ground was revealed to be covered in Cloud Knights!

However, these Cloud Knights had all been turned into white ice sculptures, frozen in various combat poses across the battlefield.

Fu Xuan's gaze darkened.

Next, they saw Jing Yuan walking onto the battlefield step by step. Fu Xuan noticed that the Jing Yuan in the video looked younger than he did now. He possessed the vigor and sharp edge of youth, unlike the "lazy general" he had become.

On the other side of the battlefield, standing atop the ruins, was a woman. She held a longsword that glittered with a cold light, her white hair fluttering in the wind. However, she lacked the disciplined aura of a martial artist.

Her eyes were blood-red. The curve of her lips was dangerous and crazed!

A flash of shock crossed Fu Xuan's eyes. She blurted out, "This person is..."

"Jingliu?!"

Beside her, Qingque's mouth fell open in shock. "What! It's actually her!"

In her mind, however, a giant question mark appeared.

Jingliu? Who's that?

Actually, it didn't matter who she was. What mattered was that when her boss was shocked, she couldn't just stand there like a bystander. She had to actively cooperate and provide her superior with ample emotional support!
