Morning arrived over Aerindor.
For the first time in weeks, sunlight touched the city.
No Titans attacked.
No alarms sounded.
No screams echoed through the streets.
People emerged cautiously from shelters and ruined buildings, staring upward at the peaceful sky as if they had forgotten what peace looked like.
Children laughed again.
Merchants reopened damaged shops.
Soldiers finally rested.
Humanity had survived.
But Lyra couldn't enjoy the peace.
Because above the world, seven enormous gates still floated in the heavens.
Seven worlds.
Seven Hearts.
And only one year remained.
Inside Aerindor's restored command hall, maps covered every table.
Selene stood beside one of them.
"We know almost nothing."
Rylan raised a hand dramatically.
"Fantastic. My favourite kind of suicidal mission."
Kael ignored him.
"Can we at least determine which world is safest?"
Astraeus shook his head.
"None of them."
The answer came immediately.
"The Seven Worlds were created to protect the Hearts."
"Each Heart chose guardians."
"And over thousands of years, those worlds evolved independently."
The stranger folded his arms.
"So we're walking into unknown civilisations."
"Correct."
Rylan sighed.
"Wonderful."
Lyra stepped closer to the floating images above the table.
The frozen world.
The ocean world.
The mechanical ruins.
And the hidden seventh world.
For some reason, her eyes kept returning to the seventh gate.
The girl saw it there.
The strange familiarity.
The loneliness in her smile.
Something about it bothered her.
Kael noticed.
"What is it?"
"I don't know."
Lyra touched her black mark absentmindedly.
"But I feel like she's waiting for me."
Before anyone could answer, the Hope System was activated again.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE UPDATEFIRST DESTINATION SELECTED
WORLD ONE: ELYSIA
HEART OF COMPASSION
A new image appeared above the table.
A world covered in endless forests.
Towering trees reached into the clouds.
Rivers of silver water flowed across beautiful valleys.
At first glance, it looked peaceful.
Too peaceful.
Selene frowned.
"I don't trust beautiful places anymore."
Rylan pointed immediately.
"Finally, someone understands me."
Astraeus' expression darkened slightly.
"Elysia was once the gentlest world."
"Was?"
The ancient guardian nodded.
"Compassion without balance can become obsession."
Nobody liked the sound of that.
Outside the city walls, thousands of people had gathered.
Not out of fear.
Out of hope.
Word had spread quickly.
Everyone knew Lyra and her companions had saved the world.
And now, everyone knew they were leaving.
An elderly woman stepped forward first.
She bowed deeply.
"Thank you."
Others followed.
Farmers.
Children.
Soldiers.
Merchants.
People from every background.
Not worship.
Not fear.
Gratitude.
Lyra looked overwhelmed.
"I didn't save everyone."
The elderly woman smiled kindly.
"But you saved enough."
Tears threatened to form in Lyra's eyes.
Because after everything, people still believed.
Kael quietly squeezed her hand.
And for the first time since this journey began, Lyra didn't pull away.
Selene noticed.
Rylan noticed.
Even the stranger noticed.
Nobody said anything.
But everyone smiled.
Hours later, the group stood before the first gate.
Its light shimmered like moonlight across water.
Astraeus remained behind.
"I cannot enter."
Lyra looked surprised.
"Why?"
"My duty is here now."
The ancient guardian smiled softly.
"But Hope no longer walks alone."
He bowed respectfully.
Then slowly dissolved into blue light.
Returning to his own purpose.
Selene lowered her head.
"Goodbye, old friend."
Far above the stars, golden and silver lights flickered.
Caelum and Auren watched silently.
Protecting reality together.
No longer alone.
Lyra took a deep breath.
One year.
Seven Hearts.
Seven worlds.
One Creator to save.
She looked toward her companions.
"Ready?"
Rylan groaned.
"No."
Kael smiled.
"Yes."
Selene sighed.
"As ready as we'll ever be."
The stranger nodded.
Together, they stepped into the gate.
Light swallowed them completely.
When Lyra opened her eyes again, she froze.
The forest around them was beautiful.
Birds sang peacefully.
Sunlight filtered through enormous trees.
But the beauty lasted only a second.
Scattered throughout the forest, hundreds of stone statues stood among the flowers.
Men.
Women.
Children.
All frozen.
Their expressions were filled with peace.
Too much peace.
Selene's face immediately changed.
"No…"
Kael stepped protectively in front of Lyra.
"What happened here?"
Then a soft voice answered from behind them.
"Mother saved them."
The group turned.
A little girl stood there smiling sweetly.
Flowers grew around her feet.
Her eyes glowed silver.
And behind her, an enormous shadow moved beneath the forest.
The girl tilted her head innocently.
"Will Mother save you too?"
Far within the heart of Elysia, A gigantic woman made entirely of flowers slowly opened her eyes.
And whispered:
"More children have come home."
