Chris shook his head. "She didn't exactly say it but I can tell."
He knew that his mother was never a person who was indecisive. Back then, when the marriage broke down and she was deeply hurt, she resolutely decided within a short span of time to walk out of the marriage. She was extremely decisive and didn't look back. But after ten years, she was now saying that she wanted to reconsider.
At the end of the day, she was still reluctant to give it up.
Janice could tell that he was unhappy, so she said, "Don't worry about it. Mom isn't a child, and she has her own considerations."
"You don't know my father. He is not someone who easily admits his mistakes. Furthermore..."
Then, he stopped before he finished his sentence.
She asked, "Furthermore, what?"
He frowned and continued, "The Bateman Group is a little unstable right now. I'm worried that he is making use of her."
Hearing his concerns, she did not continue.
