A few desks and chairs sat abandoned near the corners, their surfaces warped with moisture and age, covered in patches of mold that had spread slowly over time. He deduced there weren't any monsters here and stepped out. The moment fresh air hit him, Rim Young exhaled sharply.
It was so much better. The suffocating smell from inside the building faded slightly, replaced by the cold, open air of the rooftop. The fog had thinned considerably from this height, revealing a pale blue sky breaking through what had earlier been a heavy white haze.
