The moment we bumped into each other, everything changed.
I was walking through the crowded mall, thinking about my next business meeting, when a slim boy with blonde hair suddenly collided with me. The second our bodies touched, his scent hit me like a wave.
Sweet. Warm. Like fresh honey and soft flowers. It wrapped around me and sank deep into my bones. My inner Enigma woke up instantly, roaring with recognition.
Mate.
He was my true mate.
I looked down at him. He had beautiful blue eyes, pale skin, and a gentle face. He looked young — maybe 17 or 18. When our eyes met, his cheeks turned pink and his knees shook a little. He felt it too. I could tell.
"Sorry!" he said quickly, stepping back.
