When Kyle opened his eyes, he heard the notification in his mind,
[Host survived from the poison. Devin Miller stayed near the host for more than six hours]
Kyle saw this and he ignored the notification because he felt hands wrapped around his waist. He looked up and saw the sleeping face of Devin Miller. His throat felt dry and he gulped. He raised his hands and brushed against the cheeks of the alpha cheeks. He muttered,
"What a brainless fool. Instead of loving what was his, he fell for a bag of bones"
Just then Devin slowly opened his eyes and looked at the omega under him. Both of them froze but Kyle didn't remove his hands. He grinned and spoke,
"Good morning, Devin"
With that he raised his head slightly but because he was short, he was only able to kiss the chin. Seeing that his actions failed, he pouted slightly.
Devin looked at the actions done by this omega and he felt that the person in front of him is completely different from the past. He looked at Kyle and spoke in a cold tone,
"Don't you think that you have something to explain to me?"
Kyle was stunned but then he asked,
" What do I have to explain?"
Devin looked at Kyle and he spoke,
"Why do you want to die? Are you so persistent to leave us that you are even willing to die for that scumbag?
I can give you freedom if that is what you want."
Kyle was stunned when he heard that but then he cursed the original owner for the mess he created. He shook his head spoke in a gentle tone,
"It was not like that. I think I apologised for that already and please don't speak that bag of bones in front of me anymore"
Now it was Devin, who was stunned. He looked at Kyle and now he realised that the words that Kyle spoke during his fake sleep were related to the person that he loves or loved. Devin pressed his lips and asked in a slight tremble,
"Why?"
It was a single word but Kyle sensed the tremors in them. He sighed and placed both his hands on the cheeks of his alpha. He spoke in a gentle tone,
"Yesterday, I apologised because I realized how much pain I gave you all in the past. And now I am apologizing again.
Devin please, forgive me for my past actions and start a new life with me. I'll do anything you want to prevent this relationship.
I was a fool before and when I realised my mistake, I felt so guilty and angry at myself that I ordered poison to die so that you all will be free from me and then live yours lives with your future true love.
But I think God didn't want that. I ordered the rank five poison but what I got was just a rank three slumbering potion."
Devin heard all this and he felt tremors in his heart. He never expected that his omega would feel this way towards him. He lowered his eyes and spoke,
"Are you speaking the truth?"
Kyle heard that and he looked in the eyes of Devin. There he saw a deep fear. A fear of abandoning again if he trusted once again. Kyle's eyes teared slightly. Even as an outsider, he can feel the pain from Devin. How could the original never feel that way? He smiled slightly with tears in his eyes and spoke,
"In the name of my spirituality, I swear that I said the absolute truth and I now promise that I'll devote myself to my three companions from today onwards."
Devin was shocked when Kyle swore because swearing on the oath under heaven is extremely dangerous but it also proved that Kyle was really speaking the truth. Devin looked in the topaz blue eyes of his omega and unknowingly a tear slid down from his eyes. Kyle saw this, and he was stunned. He then looked at Devin who seemed like a child who appeared to have found his long-lost toy.
Kyle smiled and raised his hands from the cheek to his hairs and ruffled them gently. He spoke in a soft tone,
"Devin, can you give me some time? I want some time and then we will cultivate our relationship. I know that my actions might have caused your positive feelings towards me to fade but I'll bring them back and I need time for that."
Devin heard this and he nodded slightly. Kyle continues,
"I also want to catch up with you guys pretty quickly. My progress has become slower. And I need more strength than you three if I am going to handle you all in the future. I am now regretting that I chased after a bag of bones and I even owe you guys a proper honeymoon night."
Hearing the last sentence, it was Devin who blushed this time. Kyle saw this but then he became serious and spoke,
"There is also something strange about that guy. I felt negative emotions from him that affected me. After not meeting him for so long, I realised many things that I missed and now I know that he was not that simple, Devin you have to be extremely careful around him"
Devin heard this and he became silent. After some time, they both freshened and Kyle continued to rest. Although he was cured, the weakness because of the rank five potion remained. As he was resting, the family doctor also arrived and looked at Kyle. It has been one and half years since Kyle married the three young and dominant alphas of the galaxy. But everyone knew the relationship between them.
The doctor also assumed the same but then he saw with his own eyes, the deep worry in the eyes of the alpha for his omega and the emotions in the omega eyes when he looked at his alpha. The doctor sighed and came to check Kyle.
Kyle asked his system,
"Will he really not be able to detect anything?"
[Host need not to worry, the potion symptoms are now reduced to the slumbering potion so you can rest assure now.]
The doctor was a beta and he looked at Kyle. After the permission from Devin, he sat near him and he used his mana to test Kyle. After the test the doctor frowned and asked,
"You are suffering from hypersomnia and it is a high level. Can you tell me the reasons for that?"
Kyle nodded and spoke,
"I want to surprise my lover but I never thought that I accidently swallow the rank 2 slumbering potion"
The doctor was surprised but then he nodded thoughtfully. Now everything made sense. He asked,
"But you are wrong about one thing, the potion was not rank 2 it was above rank 2. This is cousin you to feel weak and sleepy.
But you don't need to worry. I will prescribe some solutions to you. You will be able to heal in just two days."
The doctor made the potion to the opposite effect of slumbering drug and handed it to Devin. He told the uses and then left. Devin and Kyle remained alone. Kyle hesitated for a moment and then he spoke,
"Can you accompany me just for today more. I want to spend more time with you."
Devin looked at Kyle and then he spoke,
"It is still feeling like a dream. I can't believe that my husband opened his eyes. It's like you are deceiving me again."
Kyle looked at him and he didn't speak. Devin continued,
"But I'll believe you one last time. Since you swore on your spirituality, I will forgive you but I still need some time."
Kyle beamed. He genuinely loved this guy and the other two also but he just can't understand that why someone like them got the original body as a life partner. He quickly moved and gave space to Devin to join him. Devin saw this and he raised his eyebrows. But he said nothing and laid behind him.
Kyle openly hugged him. And then he placed his head on his chest and closed his eyes. Devin saw this and he blushed slightly. Just then a faint voice sounded,
"Devin, thank you for forgiving me. I will do anything to save our relationship this time and please if anything happens in the future, don't come to any conclusions instantly."
Devin became silent and Kyle continued,
"Do you know that after our marriage till now, I came to realise one thing.'
Kyle spoke. He remembered what his big sister told him in his previous life and his eyes teared slightly. He felt sleepy but he wanted to chat more to Devin. But he has no strength so he just continued,
"Do you know what is the most destructive thing in a relationship?"
Devin was stunned. He thought for a moment before replying,
"Betrayal and trust"
