In an alternate timeline, Qayyim arrived from 20 years in the future. But in this
reality, Nova and Zaiyal were preparing to say their final goodbyes to him. They were
about to reunite with their comrades—Talus, Noah, Martreya Narcis, and Ungar—for one
final stand. Together, the six warriors would face an unspeakable enemy: grotesque
amalgamations of countless races, creatures that absorbed and assimilated lifeforms
across the cosmos. These invaders, originating from another dimension, sought total
domination. Though their interest in Planet Helios seemed to wane, they would still
slaughter two billion innocent lives unless they were stopped. Helios had already been
reduced to a smoldering wasteland. Worse yet, these monstrosities had claimed the life of
Zaiyal and Qayyim's only son—Zaiyal V—erasing him in an instant with a searing blast
from their hellish mouth-lasers. His body was reduced to mere dust, scattered by the
wind. Overcome with grief, Qayyim fell to her knees, tears streaming down her face.
"You two better return," she sobbed. "Those monsters killed our son, Zaiyal!" Nova and
Zaiyal tried to reassure her, though they themselves bore the weight of sorrow. Nova
urged Qayyim to focus on rebuilding their shattered world. But if all hope failed, she
could use the time machine. Then, with resolute determination, Nova and Zaiyal
departed, leaving Qayyim behind.
Nova's AI assistant, Meta, streamed a live feed from the battlefield. Qayyim
watched as Nova and Zaiyal landed alongside their allies. Six warriors now stood against
an overwhelming horde. The monstrous invaders loomed before them, twisted,
nightmarish beings hungry for destruction. Talus smirked. "Took you clowns long
enough." Zaiyal cracked his knuckles. "Let's just get this over with." One of the creatures
stepped forward, its grotesque features twisting into a mocking grin. "We already know
who you are. Martreya Buddha, Narcis. And you... the wizard Ungar." Ungar, clad in
black armor, his crimson eyes burning through his helmet's narrow slits, tensed. "How do
you creatures know that?!" The monster sneered. "We know a lot. We also know Ungar is
immortal—he can't be killed. So we'll simply seal him away." A rift opened in the air,
and with a forceful shove, Ungar was cast inside. "Enjoy an eternity of boredom!
Immortality must be fun! YEAHAHAHAHA!" The beast turned to the remaining five
warriors. "The rest of you? You won't be so lucky. You're all as good as dead." The
massacre began. In a flash, one creature materialized behind Noah, slicing his stomach
open. His entrails spilled onto the battlefield as he collapsed, lifeless. Another launched a
searing beam, disintegrating Narcis into nothing but dust. A third beast lunged at Nova,
slashing him clean in half. Blood soaked the scorched ground. Talus and Zaiyal stood
alone. Talus fought valiantly, but a monstrous blast of energy turned him to ash in
seconds. The battle was never even close. Zaiyal, the last warrior standing, held his
ground, but the sheer numbers overwhelmed him. The creatures tore him apart, leaving
behind only a mutilated corpse. Qayyim watched in horror, drowning in her grief as the
monsters, victorious, abandoned the battlefield and resumed their senseless destruction.
Five Years Later...
Helios remained a frozen wasteland, its cities nothing more than ruins buried
under endless snow. Qayyim had made little progress in rebuilding, save for finding
solace in a friend—a woman named Karen. But even she was slain by a lingering
remnant of the invading race. Every morning was the same: cold, bleak, and lifeless.
Shattered buildings cast long shadows over the desolate streets. Ancient, rickety trains
provided the only means of transportation through the husk of a once-thriving world. The
sky never brightened; the sun never rose. The darkness was eternal. Qayyim stirred from
her restless sleep, rubbing the crust from her weary eyes. A cheerful AI anime girl
blinked to life on her bedside screen, her chirpy voice cutting through the silence. "Wake
up, sleepyhead! Time to go to work!" But Qayyim knew—there was no work left to be
done. Only survival in a world that had already died. She met with Karen at the train
station when she departed. "Hey long time no see, another tough day." Karen smiled and
greeted her. The two had made numerous memories over the last five years since her husband, father, son, and friends were all killed. Later that day a creature caused a fire
when Qayyim left to get something out of her car. The fire caused an explosion that killed
everyone inside, including Karen. As far as Qayyim knew Karen was dead, Qayyim
broke down in tears. She had lost everything and clearly she accomplished little, it was
time to use her father's time machine.
Back in the present Qayyim was flying to see Talus and the last few who hadn't
achieved it achieved the Avatar state at Zaldor's temple. When she saw a time machine
much like hers crash into the soft soil of the island of Other World. Qayyim thought to
herself: "A time machine..." She descended and out stepped Karen. Qayyim broke down
into tears. Since she hadn't met Karen in the Other World and she just appeared in a time
machine meant she wasn't even dead, Karen had been alive all this time. Qayyim could
barely breathe. She staggered back, her mind reeling as Karen stepped out of the time
machine. The woman before her was unchanged—her familiar dark curls, her sharp yet
kind eyes—yet something was... off. Karen's expression held no recognition, no warmth.
"Karen?" Qayyim whispered, her voice barely audible over the winds swirling around
them. Karen tilted her head, scanning Qayyim with an eerie precision. "Do I know you?"
A chilling realization struck Qayyim like a hammer to the chest. This wasn't her
Karen. This was a version of Karen from another timeline, another possibility where fate
had taken a different path. Qayyim clenched her fists. "Where did you come from? Why
are you here?" Karen regarded her coldly. "I came to stop you." Before Qayyim could
react, Karen moved with inhuman speed, seizing her wrist. A surge of energy coursed
through her body, paralyzing her in place. Qayyim gasped as her vision blurred,
glimpsing fragmented images—a shattered universe, a colossal war between time
travelers, her own death at the hands of someone she trusted. "You can't use the time
machine," Karen said flatly. "If you do, you'll unravel everything." Qayyim tried to say:
"I have no desire to use the time machine, in fact." Qayyim put out her hand shooting out
an energy blast destroying the time machine. This angered Karen and the two quickly
went to blows. Eventually something held Karen in mid-air; it was Ungar who was
followed by Zaiyal and Hermes. Karen said in her paralyzed state: "Who the hell are
you?" Ungar simply scoffed: "Someone who knows you're from Dimension 58-B," this
shocked her, "And I'm her husband," said Zaiyal. Soon several others landed: Uvia, the
Zaikat Rangers, who all confronted Karen. Ungar said: "By the way this is your Karen,
she just lost her memories." Tears slowly began to stream down Qayyim's face: "Karen's
its you, I've missed you for so long." Karen's breath hitched as she struggled against the
invisible force holding her mid-air. Her eyes darted from one figure to the next—Ungar,
Zaiyal, Hermes, Uvia, and the Zaikat Rangers—all standing against her.
Her mind raced, trying to process what was happening. "Dimension 58-B?" she repeated, her voice laced
with disbelief. "That's impossible. I came from—" "From a doomed timeline," Ungar
interrupted, tightening his grip. His crimson eyes burned through his helmet's slits. "One
that doesn't belong here." Zaiyal stepped forward: "And you apparently know my wife."
Karen scoffed. "Lies," she spat, struggling harder. "You expect me to believe
that?" But then Qayyim's voice cut through the tension, soft but unwavering. "Karen, it's
you." The words struck like a lightning bolt. Karen turned to face Qayyim, whose golden
eyes brimmed with unshed tears. The woman who had endured so much, who had lost
everything—now standing before her, pleading for something even stronger than victory.
"Do you remember?" Qayyim whispered. Karen's head throbbed. Visions flickered in her
mind—distant, fragmented memories of another life. A hand reaching for hers. Laughter
in the cold Helios night. A promise made beneath a shattered sky. But before she could
grasp them, a searing pain shot through her skull. She screamed. The world twisted
around her, warping into flashes of time loops collapsing. Futures shattered. Pasts erased.
The fabric of reality itself threatened to buckle under the weight of the paradox.
And then—silence. The hold on Karen was released. She fell to the ground,
gasping for breath. But something had changed. She looked up at Qayyim, tears
streaming down her face. "I... I remember you." The dam finally broke. Qayyim rushed
forward, embracing her, holding her as if afraid she'd disappear again. "I'm sorry," Karen
choked out. "I had forgotten everything, I must have suffered a head injury in the
explosion." Karen began to cry, "I missed you so much, every day was the same, but it
was easier to get through the day with you there." As Karen hugged Qayyim she felt a
kick. "Was that?" Qayyim explained that Zaiyal was the father and that she was pregnant.
"Okay guys, let's see if Talus achieved his Avatar state," said Sarai. Everyone flew
to Zaldor's temple. The reunion would have to wait. Soon they arrived at Zaldor's
temple, they opened the door and Zaiyal along with Barabbas and Demi had all unlocked
the Avatar state. They opened their eyes and we're confused by the presence of Karen.
"Who's this broad?" Talus asked bluntly. Tatu, standing beside him, wasted no time in
smacking him upside the head with one of his insect-like arms. "What the heck was that
for?!" Talus grumbled, rubbing his head. Tatu crossed his arms. "Maybe try not being an
idiot for once?" Karen narrowed her eyes, clearly unimpressed. "Oh great, another funny
guy." Karen said confused: "Wait, weren't you pregnant 5 years ago Qayyim, how have
you still not given birth." Qayyim laughed, "It's these Zaiyals, their reproductive nature is
inconsistent, are first child was born in 8 months, but sometimes if the children of
Solarians are mix-breeds, they can take as long as 8 years." Zaiyal smirked: "I was lucky with my first wife, "Aquarius," all our children were born within 10 months, she was an
elf." Qayyim sighed: "I'm not a purebred though, "I'm half elf and half human, I'm sure
you noticed the round ears. So a child like our son will be half Solarian, a quarter human,
and a quarter elf."
The revelation settled over the group like an eerie calm before a storm. Karen, still
trying to steady her breath, ran a hand through her disheveled hair. Her mind reeled from
the weight of regaining her memories, but there was no time to process it fully. The battle
was far from over. Zaiyal folded his arms, his sharp gaze locked onto her. "So, you do
remember?" Karen nodded, swallowing the lump in her throat. "I do. And I also
remember that if we don't stop what's coming, none of this will matter." Qayyim touched
Karen's arm gently. "What do you mean? What's coming?" Karen exhaled sharply. "The
anomaly is still active. The timeline we're in is stable for now, but I saw it—flashes of
futures collapsing, pasts merging in ways that shouldn't be possible. This universe is
breaking apart at the seams. And it's because of—" She hesitated, looking around at the
familiar and unfamiliar faces before finally settling her eyes on Zaiyal. "It's because of
you." A heavy silence filled the room. Zaiyal's expression hardened. "Me?" Karen
clenched her fists. "Not you exactly, but your very existence in this timeline. You weren't
supposed to be here. You—" she paused, shaking her head. "You died in Dimension 58-B.
The Zaiyal of this world was never meant to exist beyond that moment. The universe is
compensating for it, trying to erase the paradox." Zaiyal's usual smirk faded. "Then
what's the solution? You expect me to just cease to exist?" Karen opened her mouth, but
before she could answer, the temple rumbled violently. A deep, ominous hum vibrated
through the walls, sending cracks sprawling across the ancient stone. The Avatar state
trio—Zaiyal, Barabbas, and Demi—glowed faintly as their energies pulsed in response.
Sarai's eyes narrowed. "That's not normal. Something's happening." A portal ripped open
in the center of the temple, spiraling with an unnatural energy. The very air crackled as a
towering figure stepped through. Clad in sleek, black armor etched with glowing crimson
runes, the figure removed their helmet to reveal a shock of silver hair and piercing violet
eyes. Karen's breath hitched. "No..." Qayyim stepped forward. "Who is that?" Karen's
face was grim. "That's Kalaris—the Chrono Warden. He's here to erase the paradox the
hard way." Kalaris surveyed the room with the gaze of a predator analyzing its prey. His
voice was smooth, but carried an undertone of raw power. "This timeline is beyond
repair. The damage done by your interference is irreversible. There is only one solution."
Zaiyal's jaw tightened. "And that is?" Kalaris raised a hand, his fingers crackling with
untamed energy. "Total erasure. You, your offspring, and every anomaly connected to this
fractured reality." Karen stepped in front of Qayyim instinctively. "We won't let you do
that." Kalaris smirked. "I was hoping you'd say that." With a wave of his hand, the temple erupted into chaos.
Columns crumbled, the floor split apart, and the very fabric of
time around them seemed to warp and twist. The battle had begun. From the vortex Talus
walked through, but it wasn't Talus at all, it was another Talus, who had red eyes instead
of green, but with this exception looked like Talus in every other way.
"Hello Talus, I see you broke your pact with the Old God and destroyed the
caterpillar. But know this, the Old God doesn't need you, you need it. Frankly, I'm a
manifestation of your ego and your heart separated from you when you spit up the
caterpillar, you're no longer needed Talus I will replace you and YOU will be destroyed."
Talus smirked and cackled, "I don't need the old god, or anyone else, to be blunt, I'm
using all of these clowns I've been traveling with. There is a means to an end." Everyone
grew angry, this wasn't anything known, Talus was a cad, and they had been siding with
him for practical reasons as well, but still, they couldn't help but be angered by his words.
Talus laughed: "So back off, I don't need them or your weak god. Now began." The other
Talus laughed, "I don't think you understand, I've come to replace you." Talus waved his
hand, and clones of everyone else appeared, clones of Zaiyal, Ungar, Daniel, etc. "They
will serve me like you serve them, and together we will conquer everything under the
stars for our God." Talus began to erupt into laughter, "You think I serve them, I'm no
slave, I'm the star of this damned show." He exploded into energy, his hair now pulsating
yellow, "So BACK OFF! IT'S TIME I SHUT YOUR DAMN MOUTH!" A portal
enveloped Talus and the evil Talus, sending them to a separate dimension where they
would fight each. Meanwhile back in the real world the other heroes were responsible for
destroying their evil clones.
The Duel of Talus vs. Talus
Talus and his dark doppelgänger landed in a separate, starless void—a swirling
expanse of violet and black where jagged rocks floated aimlessly like shattered remnants
of forgotten worlds. The only light came from the pulsating energy radiating from their
bodies. The evil Talus smirked, crossing his arms. "You were always meant to be a pawn.
The Old God doesn't discard tools unless they break. You broke, Talus." His form
flickered for a moment, shifting between his present self and something
monstrous—warped, with tendrils of shadow coiling around his body. "So I'm here to
replace you." Talus scoffed. "Replace me? Please. I AM the story. You're just a knockoff
with delusions of grandeur. I'll make that clear to you when I send you to oblivion!!" His
aura flared brighter, golden light cracking like thunder around him. "Let's see if you can
even last five minutes." Their battle began with an explosion of force. Talus lunged
forward, fists crackling with raw energy, aiming straight for his counterpart's face. The evil Talus grinned and effortlessly dodged, phasing in and out of reality, leaving
afterimages as he weaved around the attacks. Then, he struck back. A dark blade, forged
from his own shadow, formed in his hand as he slashed. Talus barely avoided it, feeling
the edge graze his cheek, sizzling like acid. He retaliated with a devastating punch to the
gut, sending his evil twin flying into a floating rock. The impact shattered the stone, but
the evil Talus merely laughed, standing as if nothing happened. "You don't get it, do
you?" he taunted. "You spit up the caterpillar, but you never severed your connection. I
still have it. I am it." Black tendrils erupted from his back, writhing like living serpents.
They shot forward, seeking to ensnare Talus, but he countered with a massive blast of
energy. The collision of power shook the entire dimension, but the tendrils reformed
instantly. "Damn parasite," Talus growled, dodging another onslaught. His evil
counterpart smirked. "Oh, you're just full of rage, aren't you? Well I am you, I'm the part
of you the Parasite drew out of you, without it you're nothing. That's why you're weak.
That's why I will replace you." Talus clenched his fists, his golden aura intensifying. "I'll
show you weakness!" He vanished in a blur of speed, reappearing behind his twin, his fist
slamming into the back of his skull with enough force to send shockwaves across the
void. But the evil Talus simply grinned through the pain, his voice dripping with malice.
"Oh, Talus. This is going to be fun."
The void trembled as the two warriors clashed, golden light colliding against
writhing darkness. Talus launched a relentless flurry of punches, each blow igniting the
air with streaks of burning energy. His evil counterpart dodged with a sickening grace, his
body flickering between solid and incorporeal, his laughter echoing through the abyss.
Talus snarled, "Stand still and fight me, coward!" The evil Talus smirked. "Why
would I fight fair? I already won the moment you spat up the caterpillar. You are
incomplete, a discarded shell. You think raw power makes you whole? Pathetic."
Talus roared and thrust his hands forward, a blinding surge of golden energy erupting
from his palms like a solar storm. His double countered instantly, forming a jagged
barrier of pure shadow. The forces met in a deafening explosion, sending cracks rippling
through the dimension itself. Then, the evil Talus struck. He phased through the smoke,
his arm transforming into a writhing mass of tendrils, latching onto Talus's throat.
Before he could react, he was flung across the void, crashing into a floating rock, which
shattered into dust. Talus coughed, wiping blood from his mouth. His opponent was
already upon him, moving faster than he could track. A shadowy fist slammed into his
ribs, then another into his face, then another—a brutal onslaught that sent him careening
through the abyss.
Talus barely had time to recover before dark tendrils coiled around his limbs, constricting
like living chains. His evil twin loomed above him, grinning. "It's funny," the
doppelgänger mused. "You think you're the star of this story, but look at you. Weak.
Beaten. Forgotten." He sneered. "The Old God made you, and now it's making me
into something better. I am the real Talus now." Dark energy surged through the
tendrils, searing into Talus's skin. He gritted his teeth, golden aura crackling as he
struggled to break free. "You..." he growled, eyes burning with fury. "Are NOT...
ME!" Then an image appeared before both of them. It was an image of a celestial woman
with eight arms. "Talus, this creature is not you and you were descended from the old
God." Talus: "Who the hell are you?" The woman responded: "I am Maya, the mother of
Siddhartha Guatama "Buddha." This creature is part of you, you must destroy him to
begin the process of breaking your ego." Talus smirked: "I have no ego." Maya replied:
"Then this should be easy for you. I could destroy himself with my Dharmic Light, but I
believe you could do it yourself with just a little help." The evil Talus tried to attack
Maya but it didn't work; she was completely unscathed from the energy attacks. Maya
held out her finger sending an orb of light into Talus' chest. Maya: "You need to reform
yourself totally yourself, but I can give limited aid. Even as a Bodhisattva and Goddess of
Light and Resurrection I can only aid you so much. The first step is to destroy your evil
desires, destroying this miscreant is the beginning of that journey." Talus felt a
tremendous surge of energy. "THIS POWER IS INCREDIBLE!! Thank you goddess, I
think I can take the rest from here!!" Talus turned towards his evil counterpart: "NOW
YOU!! It's time for me to finish this!! Behold a true member of Mozaku!! And here's
some advice, never think you can copy a demon clansmen, know you'll always fall short.
NOW DIE!!" Talus began to unleash incredible amounts of energy aimed towards his evil
counterpart and with a strike of energy he set it loose.
With a deafening boom, Talus unleashed a shockwave of raw energy, shattering
the tendrils and sending his doppelgänger flying back. Before he could recover, Talus
vanished in a blur of speed, appearing behind him with a fist charged like a miniature
sun. He drove his punch straight through his counterpart's gut. A shockwave tore
through the void, ripping apart floating debris and warping the space around them. The
evil Talus gasped, his form flickering between solid and liquid darkness. Talus twisted
his fist deeper and grinned. "Not laughing now, are you?" His counterpart snarled in
defiance. "You... can't kill me. I AM you." Talus leaned in, his voice a low growl.
"Then I guess I'll just have to kill that part of myself." Summoning every ounce of his
power, he unleashed an explosive burst of energy point-blank, disintegrating his
doppelgänger's torso in a blinding explosion. The void itself trembled, warping under the
sheer force.
The evil Talus screamed, his form unraveling, flickering between shadow and energy.
He clutched at the wound, snarling as he began to regenerate, tendrils of darkness trying
to stitch his body back together. "This isn't over," he spat. "I am the caterpillar. You
can't escape me." Talus glared, his golden aura flaring to celestial levels. "Then I'll
burn you away." He rose into the air, power building inside him, his body crackling
with golden lightning. The evil Talus lunged, but it was too late—Talus fired a colossal
beam of pure, divine energy that consumed everything in its path. A final, ear-splitting
scream echoed as the evil Talus was engulfed, his form disintegrating into oblivion.
The void itself shattered like glass. Talus collapsed to one knee, breathing hard, his
golden aura dimming. The starless expanse crumbled around him, reality reasserting
itself. A portal began to form, pulling him back toward his world. He let out a breath,
smirking. "Guess I'm still the star of the show." Then, with one final step, he
disappeared into the light.
The Battle of the Heroes vs. the Evil Clones.
Meanwhile, back in the real world, the heroes faced a nightmare that came to life.
Their twisted duplicates stood before them, identical in every way—except for the
ominous, soulless gleam in their eyes and the dark energy that radiated from them. Ungar,
the towering warrior, glared at his own clone. "This is unnatural," he growled, gripping
his massive axe. Zaiyal, the rogue, twirled her daggers. "Yeah, and I say we correct that
mistake." Daniel, the group's tactician, narrowed his eyes. "They're exact copies. We
have to assume they know all our moves." His clone smirked. "Exactly." Without
warning, the evil clones attacked. Ungar met his clone in a clash of steel, their axes
colliding with a thunderous boom that cracked the ground beneath them. The force of
their strikes sent shockwaves through the battlefield, each warrior refusing to give an
inch. Zaiyal danced around her double in a blur of flashing steel, each of their daggers
striking with perfect precision, only to be met with an equal counterattack. Every feint
was mirrored, every trick expected. Daniel's evil counterpart stood back, smirking. "You
always think two steps ahead. That's your strength." He tapped his temple.
"Unfortunately, it's also mine." Daniel barely dodged as his clone unleashed a barrage of
spells, identical to his own. He gritted his teeth. This fight wasn't going to be won
through brute strength—it would take strategy. The battle raged on, chaos erupting in all
directions. The heroes fought with everything they had, but their copies were relentless.
No matter how much damage they inflicted, their twisted doppelgängers always seemed
to regenerate, powered by whatever dark force had spawned them. Daniel's mind raced.
How do you beat someone who knows everything you'll do? Then it hit him. We don't
fight like ourselves. He shouted to the others. "Listen! They know our fighting styles!
Change it up—fight differently than you normally would!" Ungar, instead of swinging
his axe in massive arcs, threw it like a javelin—impaling his clone straight through the
chest. Zaiyal, instead of her usual precise strikes, went wild and erratic, slashing in
unpredictable patterns. One by one, the heroes turned the tide. The evil clones faltered,
unable to adapt to their altered strategies. With a final, unified assault, the real heroes
struck down their counterparts, obliterating them in flashes of light. But it did nothing,
but in an instant the clones collapsed and disintegrated. They were unaware that was
because Talus had destroyed his evil counterpart and Talus for his part was about to
return to the new world. As the battlefield fell silent, Zaiyal wiped her blade clean and
looked toward the distant sky, where Talus had vanished into the portal. "Hope that cocky
bastard is winning his fight." Daniel sighed. "For all our sakes, he'd better be."
The portal crackled with raw energy, its swirling golden light illuminating the
battlefield below. The heroes, panting and bloodied from their own fight, turned their
gazes upward as a familiar figure emerged. Talus stepped through, his golden aura still
flickering like a dying ember, his body bruised but victorious. He landed with a
resounding boom, his feet cracking the stone beneath him. His wild yellow hair settled as
he exhaled, surveying the battlefield. Zaiyal raised an eyebrow. "So, you actually made
it back in one piece." Ungar, still gripping his axe, narrowed his eyes. "What happened
to you?" Talus smirked, rolling his shoulders. "Oh, he's gone. Wiped out. Vaporized.
Reduced to nothingness. I told you, I'm the star of this story." His grin widened as he
cracked his knuckles. "And since I just had a warm-up, I was hoping for some more
fun. What'd I miss?" Daniel stepped forward, wiping blood from his lip. "We just
finished off our copies." He glanced at the empty battlefield. "Or rather, they
collapsed on their own... I assume that was what you were doing?" Talus crossed his
arms, smug. "Of course. Kill the source, kill the spawn. Simple."
Hermes replied: "We need to head to the Seal of Revelation. I just received a
vision, the Old God's minions have already corrupted all the seals of Revelation. The
exceptions are the Seal of the Crystal Sea and the Seal of Planet Solaria (Zaiyal's
home world). If we don't protect those seals, not only will we be able to travel to the
source of the Old God's power but he'll win and destroy everything." Ungar quickly
replied: "Then we need to hurry! We need to head to the Crystal Sea immediately and
defeat its guardian. If we don't, we can't make it to Solaria and if that happens everything
is lost." Zaiyal shouted: "Well then come on let's go!!" Everyone took to the air headed
straight towards the Crystal Sea with clear resolve.
Battle Over the Crystal Sea
The air erupted with energy as the two sides clashed. Talus moved like a streak
of golden fire, punching through abominations with devastating force, their bodies
exploding into black mist upon impact. Zaiyal darted through the chaos, her blades
carving through chitin and shadow, striking vital points with lethal precision. Daniel
and Hermes worked in tandem—Hermes summoning divine sigils that repelled the dark
energy surrounding the creatures, while Daniel launched arcane lances that pierced
their armored shells. Ungar, ever the unstoppable force, cleaved through waves of
enemies, his axe glowing with celestial fire as he struck down even the largest of their
foes. But the enemy's numbers were unrelenting. For every monster slain, another took
its place. The rift above them continued to widen, a black hole spewing endless horrors
into the battlefield. "This isn't working!" Zaiyal shouted as she narrowly dodged a
clawed appendage. "We'll be overwhelmed at this rate!" Daniel cursed under his
breath. "There's too many! We need to shut the rift—NOW!" Talus grinned, his aura
flaring. "Then let's take out whatever's keeping it open." Hermes pointed toward the
rift. "It's not just an anomaly—it's a summoning gate. Something is anchoring it
from the other side." Ungar smashed another creature into dust. "Then we break the
anchor." Talus shot upward, eyes gleaming. "On it." Summoning all his power, he
charged directly into the rift, ignoring the voices clawing at his mind, the whispers of
the Old God. The others could only watch as he vanished into the void.
Inside the Rift: Talus vs. The Gatekeeper
Talus felt weightless, drifting through a realm of pure darkness. The air was
thick, heavy, like a living entity pressing against his skin. Then, he saw it. The
Gatekeeper. It was an enormous being, an amalgamation of countless eyes, mouths, and
twisting limbs that pulsed with corrupted energy. Its presence was overwhelming,
radiating an ancient, malevolent power. It spoke without words, its voice invading Talus's
mind. "You are nothing but a vessel, Talus. The Old God made you. You exist
because it allows you to." Talus smirked. "Oh yeah? Then watch what happens when
I stop playing by the rules." The Gatekeeper lunged, its countless arms grasping for
him. Talus dodged and weaved, his body glowing with golden energy as he unleashed a
barrage of explosive punches. The creature shrieked, its body warping and shifting to
avoid destruction. Talus gritted his teeth. He needed more. This thing was too vast, too
otherworldly to simply be beaten into submission. Then he remembered Maya's words.
"Destroying your evil desires is only the beginning of the journey." Talus took a deep
breath. He focused, not just on his power, but on his will. The Gatekeeper was part of
the Old God's design, a manifestation of control. But Talus was more than that now.
He extended his hands, summoning pure, radiant energy from within himself—not just destruction, but liberation. The Gatekeeper's eyes widened. "No—IMPOSSIBLE—"
Talus released everything.
A golden shockwave erupted from his body, shattering the void itself. The rift
began to collapse, the Gatekeeper dissolving into nothingness as reality folded back
into itself. Talus smirked one last time. "Guess I do make my own fate." Then, he was
hurled back into the real world.
The Rift is Closed:
The sky exploded with golden light. Talus crashed back onto the battlefield,
landing in a crouch as the last remnants of the rift vanished. The remaining creatures
shrieked in agony, their connection severed. One by one, they disintegrated. A heavy
silence followed. Then, Ungar let out a booming laugh. "Damn, Talus. I don't know
whether to thank you or punch you." Zaiyal sighed in relief. "I vote for punching
him." Talus stood up, grinning. "You're welcome." Hermes, ever the pragmatist, turned
toward the horizon. "We've bought ourselves time, but the real battle is ahead." He
pointed toward the distant sea, where a colossal structure of crystal and light awaited
them. "The Guardian of the Seal awaits." Daniel nodded. "Then we keep moving."
Without hesitation, the heroes took to the skies once more, heading straight for their
next challenge—the final battle for the Seal of the Crystal Sea. And deep below the
ocean's surface, something ancient stirred.
Out of the ocean came a man with pointy ears, a long green tritan, green
robes and long flowing blonde hair and blue eyes, this was the Nymph of the Crystal
Sea: Poseidon. He was about to proclaim and then challenge them for the right to travel
through the seal and be granted the right of its protection as Posedin was the guardian of:
"The Seal of Revelation and the Seal of the Crystal Sea."
