The new temporary leader of the Church of Helios a Dwarf named Cazo sat
us all down and explained we deserved to know the full explanation of the Book of
the Dead and its latest chapter the Book of the Necronomicon. He said he needed
to explain everything as their former head Priest was now dead because he had
sided with the creatures in this book, he needed to explain everything so Daniel,
Ungar and the others would understand all of this more clearly.
He began. "The Book of the Dead first mentions a dark being called
Nyarlathotep or Lord Tep around the year 2500 B.C.E. in the sands of the Near
East but many of the Creatures of the Book of the Dead were seen on other worlds
and other planets among countless civilizations for over 15,000,000 million years
throughout the Cosmos. The book on Earth in Egyptian society was called the
Book of the Dead. The Necronomicon is a single and the latest major chapter of
the Book of the Dead written by a mad Arab prince from the 8th century AD. The
Book of the Dead was a central text of Ancient Egyptian religion between 1500
B.C.E. and 50 B.C.E. The chapter of the Necronomicon was revealed to by a
Yemeni-Arab Prince who lived in a tribe that formally practice Arab Polytheism or
Paganism but by the time of his birth the tribe had embraced Islam. His name was
"Alhazred," and was part of his Yemeni-Arab tribe's nobility located in what is
now Sanaa in Yemen. Alhazred was revealed the Necronomicon by an evil being
that was likely Nyarlathotep. He began to write down the newest chapter of the
Book of the Dead being the Necronomicon. Alhazred denounced all other faiths
declaring himself an Apostate from Islam and denouncing the Polytheists, the
Muslims, the Christians, the Jews, the Zoroastrians, the Samaritans and the
Sabians; as well as all the other people and faiths of the Earth to be false religions
and the only true gods were Azathoth and Yog-Sogoth. He began to worship these
entities as his own gods and eventually left Yemen to visit the ruins of Babylon in modern-day Iraq, the subterranean secrets of Memphis in Egypt, and the
Empty-Quarter of Arabia. He settled in Damascus, Syria and suddenly and
mysteriously died in 738 AD.
The Book of the Dead and Alhazred's texts were later translated by the
Orthodox-Christian monk and scholar from the Byzantine Empire named
Theodorus Philetas into the Greek Language. It was later destroyed by the
Orthodox-Christian Patriarch of Constantinople Michael (d. 1059 AD), for being
Satanic literature. This was because it denounced all former Prophets including;
Abraham, Moses, Zoroaster, Christ and Muhammad as perverse heretics and
praised monsters that seemed as though they were demons from hell. The Patriarch
Michael destroyed the copies of the book in Constantinople in 1050 AD.
Some copies of the Book of the Dead and the Necronomicon in both Greek
and Arabic and later Latin survived and were preserved by at least the year 1228
AD. Both Latin and Greek texts were banned by Pope Gregory IX in 1232 AD. The
Latin translation was refined by the Danish scholar, Olaus Wormius (1588-1654),
it was still published in 15th century Germany and 17 th century Spain. It was said
that the Elizabethan Anglo-Welsh magician John Dee (1527-1609), allegedly
translated the book into English.
Since the year 2500 B.C.E. both the Book of the Dead and the Necronomicon
had been translated into many languages the Book of the Dead had previously
been translated from the Egyptian language into old Latin and Greek in the Greek
states and the Roman Empire. The book since the new era was banned in many
nations including by the Christian Kings of Europe, the Islamic Emirs of the
Middle East and North Africa, Buddhist and Taoist kingdoms and empires in Asia,
Hindu-Rajput Kingdoms in India, and even one of the Dalai Lamas in Tibet banned
the book. And many translations of the book popped up in various places all over
the Earth throughout the next 2,000 years.
There was a Traditional-Chinese translation that appeared in 1682 AD, a
Korean translation in 1712 AD, a Russian translation in 1726 and 1825, A Hindi
translation in 1685 AD, a Persian translation in 1708 AD, A copy appeared in the
Ottoman Empire in Constantinople in 1699 AD, a Czech or Bohemian translation
appeared in 1675 AD, Ruthenian or Ukrainian in 1732, a French translation
following the French Revolution in 1792, into Polish in 1490, a Mongolian and
Tibetan translation popped up in Mongol-ruled Yuan Dynasty China in 1325, a
copy in Hindu appeared in the Hindu Maratha Empire of India, a German
translation in the Kingdom of Prussia in 1730, a Spanish translation published by
a Catholic Jesuit Priest in 1825, in Tsarist Russia once again in 1852, in Bolshevik
Russia in 1922, in Safavid Persia in 1579, in the Islamic Mughal Empire of India into early Urdu in 1695, A Basque translation in 1790, an Armenian translation
appeared in Constantinople in 1905 and an Albanian translation appeared in
Trieste in 1907 and a Greek translation appeared in Athens in 1908, A Slovak
translation in 1915, a Croatian translation in 1917, a Serbian translation in 1925,
Weimar Germany into German again in 1927, and after the turn of the 18th century
it appeared in many countries in the New World including the United States in
1817, Bolivia in 1840, Canada in 1869, Argentina in 1870, Mexico in 1875, Chile
in 1888, Brazil in 1890 and Columbia in 1902. The Book of the Dead was famously
last translated into the French language by French Occultist, Éliphas Lévi
(1810-1875 CE), in 1868 in Paris..." said Cazo.
"Thanks for the history lesson but can you get to the point already!" said
Tatu. "The point is Lord Tep is trapped in the Book and if Vladimir Kosovich gets
his hands on it, he will unwittingly unleash an ancient and powerful evil upon this
entire world." Said Cazo. "So, we have to get to the city of R'lyeh and retrieve the
Book of the Dead first?" said Ungar. "Af irmative. And you must destroy it." Said
Cazo. "Well than what are we waiting for?! Let's go!" said Tatu. "Not so fast you
need to rest before you leave. It's been a whole day since the battle so tonight rest
and tomorrow head towards the City of the Clouds once you are there you will be
well on your way to the Lost City. Here takes this magic compass it will guide you on your travels." Said Cazo. And with that they all went to sleep ready for the next
day when they would continue their journey to the Lost City of R'lyeh.
