Chapter 131 - Chapter 131: Twinkles - I

The battle ceased to be a clash of ideals. It devolved into a meat grinder.

"I'LL KILL ALL OF YOU CRIMINALS!"

"COME ON!" Light roared.

GLINT.

Sengoku's eyes flashed red. He went perfectly still.

ZUP!

The massive, golden form blurred. He reappeared instantly in front of the manic False Deity.

"Good audacity!"

Boom! Sengoku threw a colossal right hook. His sole intent was punching a hole straight through Light Yagami's chest.

"HAHAHA!"

Light didn't dodge. He crossed his bare, obsidian-coated arms over his torso. He engaged his Force Authority, manifesting a hyper-dense gravity shield directly over his forearms. It hit.

KRA-KOOOOOOM!

The blast evaporated the smoke in the crater.

Light's gravity shield shattered like cheap glass under the weight of the Buddha's enraged Supreme King's Haki. The golden fist slammed into Light's crossed arms.

Booom! CRACK!

"KAH-!"

DRRRRSHHHH!

His left ulna snapped. The kinetic force drove him backward. His boots carved deep, smoking trenches into the melted slag of the crater floor.

"HA... HA..."

He didn't fly away.

"RAHHHH!"

Light dropped his arms and lunged. He abandoned elegance. He threw a raw, brutal, Internal Destruction-imbued uppercut at Sengoku's jaw.

BAM!

Sengoku took it flush. The golden jaw snapped back. Blood sprayed from the Fleet Admiral's lips, but the giant didn't flinch.

"GRNNN!" Sengoku absorbed the impact. He brought his left hand down in a devastating hammer-fist aimed at the crown of Light's skull.

Light shifted. The hammer-fist glanced off his shoulder.

SNAP!

"AH-!"

Light's collarbone fractured. A sharp gasp escaped his lips. He used the downward momentum to violently drive his knee into the Buddha's exposed, bleeding stomach.

It was a suffocating brawl. Two monsters trading point-blank trauma in a smoking crater.

But it wasn't a one-on-one fight.

"STAY STILL!"

The temperature plummeted. Absolute zero. Admiral Aokiji materialized on Light's right flank. The air crystallized into a blizzard of razor-sharp ice.

Aokiji didn't use a spear. He drove a bare, frostbite-inducing fist at Light's temple.

Light's Future Sight flared. He ducked. The sub-zero air actively froze the sweat and blood on his cheek.

Light pivoted. He swung a sweeping Haki-coated backhand toward the Admiral.

Aokiji let the fist smash into his ribs.

CRASH.

The left side of Aokiji's torso shattered into jagged shards. But he was a Logia. In the exact microsecond his body broke, he manipulated the airborne ice. He reformed them instantly, physically trapping Light's arm inside his own ribcage.

Light's eyes narrowed. His right arm was locked inside a block of unbreakable permafrost. Panic—sharp and calculating—spiked in his chest, but his face remained a mask of manic defiance.

"Got you," Aokiji hissed.

Aokiji raised his left hand. It transformed into a jagged block of ice. He swung it brutally toward Light's exposed neck.

Cornered, Light fought like a feral dog. He didn't pull his trapped arm. He surged forward.

He headbutted Aokiji directly in the center of the face.

CRUNCH!

Aokiji's nose broke. The Admiral staggered. His concentration broke for a fraction of a second.

Light ripped his freezing arm free. A thick layer of his own skin peeled away. Blood poured down his bicep, freezing into crimson icicles before it hit the ground.

"GAAAAAAH!" Sengoku roared.

The Fleet Admiral wrapped his golden arms around Light from behind. A bone-crushing bear hug.

"I WILL CRUSH YOU INTO DUST!" Sengoku screamed. His Supreme King's Haki flared.

Light's newly healed ribs began to cave in. The pressure was astronomical. His Level 22 Life Force screamed, frantically reinforcing his skeleton against the mass of a giant Buddha.

I can't break his grip! Light realized. His vision tunneled.

He didn't struggle against the arms. He threw his head backward, smashing his skull into Sengoku's nose.

Sengoku grunted. Blood flowed over his golden mustache. His grip tightened.

"KUZAN! NOW!" Sengoku bellowed.

Aokiji wiped the blood from his shattered nose. His eyes were dead. He stepped forward. His right arm became a massive, highly condensed spear of absolute zero ice, wrapped in pitch-black Armament Haki.

He aimed it at the center of Light's chest.

I need space!

Light spat blood onto the ice. He engaged his Force Authority to its absolute, self-destructive maximum. He didn't aim outward. He aimed it inside his own body.

He created a hyper-pressurized vacuum of repulsive gravity directly on the surface of his skin, forcefully expanding it outward in a 360-degree detonation.

FOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The repulsive blast leveled the immediate crater.

Sengoku's grip broke. The Fleet Admiral skidded ten feet across the slag. Aokiji's incoming spear deflected upward, shattering harmlessly against the barrier.

Light dropped to his hands and knees. He gasped for air that felt like broken glass.

His body was a ruin. Left arm fractured. Collarbone snapped. Ribs cracked. A massive patch of skin missing from his right bicep. His Armament Haki flickered.

He looked up.

Sengoku was recovering, radiating suffocating heat. Aokiji reformed his ice spear, an emotionless executioner.

They weren't tired. They were the absolute pinnacle of the Navy.

"You are out of tricks, Yagami," Sengoku rumbled. The deep threat shook the crater. "Your blasphemy ends here."

Light pushed himself up. His legs trembled. He spat another mouthful of blood.

He didn't look at the Admirals. He kept his 20-second Future Sight focused on the edge of the Marineford bay.

'You should've been here already!' Light thought. His feral smile returned, teeth stained crimson.

"HA..."

"HA..."

'Red Hair!'

...

His predicted time had passed, but to Light's dismay, there was no sign of an interruption.

Light arrived at a very reasonable conclusion.

Red Haired Shanks.

Did not like him.

"HAAAA!"

The Admirals charged. The localized bloodbath resumed.

"AH!"

BAM!

SMASH!

"KEGH-!"

BOOOOM!

The False Deity was no longer fighting to win. He was fighting to bleed.

Sengoku didn't wield his power with majestic grace. The golden light flickered violently with jagged crimson lightning. Conqueror's Haki pushed to the precipice of madness. Every swing carried the kinetic density of a falling mountain.

Aokiji abandoned his zone-control tactics. He fought in suffocating close-quarters. The air itself grew thick, heavy, and lethally sharp, tearing at Light's exposed flesh with tiny razors of frost.

BOOM!

KRA-KOOOM!

SMASH!
