I walked into the station on Monday morning feeling happier and more relieved than I had in weeks and frankly, it wasn't just because of the incredible weekend I'd had... hanging out and catching up with Mario, and the marathon sex with Hailey.
Though fucking her all weekend like a maniac had left me physically drained in the best possible way... But no, the real source of my good mood was the complete lack of emergency calls over the weekend.
No reports of Lucifer escaping, no sudden chaos at the station, absolutely nothing and for once, everything felt like it was finally falling into place.
The station was its usual controlled chaos when I arrived... officers were moving about with files, there were low hum of conversations from a few officers that were talking, probably about Lucifer's arrest and some phones were even ringing loudly in the background which was pretty normal.
