Chapter 25 - Episode 25 : The Siege of Memory

The Citadel Under Siege

Aurion Citadel had stood for generations.

A fortress built above the shifting sands.

A monument to endurance.

Now it was under attack.

Not by armies.

Not by kingdoms.

By forgotten machines.

Ancient Orinthal constructs erupted from beneath the desert in endless waves.

Steel Crawlers.

Null Sentinels.

Memory Reavers.

Machines that should have remained buried forever.

Their cognition cores burned with corrupted omission signals.

The influence of Nihyros Nullis spread through every unit.

Not destroying.

Dividing.

Separating.

Forgetting.

Upon the highest wall stood Thomarion.

Founder of the Bronze Plate.

Master of the Citadel.

Bearer of the Orion Star Crest.

His greatsword carved through advancing constructs while kinetic shockwaves shattered entire formations.

Yet something felt wrong.

A familiar absence lingered at the edge of every thought.

The Weight of Omission

Mira approached through the chaos.

"Commander."

Thomarion turned.

"What is it?"

"The Crest activated."

That immediately caught his attention.

The Orion Star Crest had remained dormant for decades.

Now bronze resonance pulsed through the Founder Hall continuously.

Machine systems responded.

Ancient archives unlocked.

Forgotten protocols reappeared.

Thomarion frowned.

"The Frontier."

Mira nodded.

"The signal is coming from beneath it."

Something deep within him stirred.

Not memory.

Recognition.

As though someone important was waiting.

Someone he should know.

Someone he had forgotten.

Orinthal Prime's Warning

Far below the Frontier—

Orinthal Prime continued observing the ancient systems.

The First Mind stood before the throne.

Ancient calculations flowed across its vision.

The conclusion remained unchanged.

CONTAINMENT FAILURE PROJECTED

Without warning—

a new message appeared.

FOURTH KEY IN MOTION

Aurion immediately understood.

"Thomarion."

The First Mind nodded.

"He is responding."

Dorion stepped forward.

"Then we go to him."

The Steel Sovereign Speaks

The giant machine moved.

The Steel Sovereign turned toward the ancient elevator shafts leading upward through the Machine Abyss.

Its voice echoed throughout the city.

"THE FOUNDER MUST ARRIVE."

Commander Varken tightened his grip on his rifle.

"And if he doesn't?"

The Sovereign hesitated.

Then:

"CONTAINMENT FAILURE."

Nobody needed further explanation.

The Brothers Ascend

Dorion activated his plasma blade.

Lirion summoned Black Noetic Fluid around his body.

Sorion's equilibrium markings ignited.

Three brothers.

Three bloodlines.

One destination.

Aurion watched them silently.

The old Patriarch already knew what awaited them.

And feared it.

Not because Thomarion would fail.

But because he might succeed.

Final Line

Far above the Forsaken Frontier—

Thomarion stood upon the walls of Aurion Citadel while endless waves of corrupted constructs advanced through the storm.

The Orion Star Crest burned brightly across his armor.

Then—

for the first time in thirty years—

he heard three names echo through the emptiness left behind by Nihyros Nullis.

Dorion.

Lirion.

Sorion.

And somewhere deep within his fragmented heart—

a father finally began remembering.
