Chapter 43 opens with the scene inside the Temple.
After entering the Temple, all of the disciples are immediately teleported from the entrance and gathered together inside the Temple's Main Hall. As soon as every disciple arrives within the Temple, the scene shifts to the Main Hall itself. If one were to observe the hall, nine different gates made of Black Iron could be seen standing in every direction. These nine gates were supported by a total of eighteen pillars. At the top of each pillar stood a massive bat statue. However, the posture of the bats was different on every pillar, with each statue having a unique shape and size.
After that, Temple Spirit Yasha directly announces the mission for the First Level. However, before assigning the mission, she first explains the Golden Rules of the Temple. The First Golden Rule states that if any cultivator successfully clears the First Level, they will be granted permission to leave the Temple. The scene then shifts to five minutes later, when the First Level officially opens. Along with all of the other disciples, the protagonist, Kim, is also transported into the First Level. The environment of the First Level is immediately revealed to be extremely strange. Intense heat waves fill the surroundings, and the temperature is unbelievably high. Surviving in such an environment is extremely difficult. The disciples around him are all discussing the same thing. As soon as everyone arrives, the scorching heat spreads throughout the entire area.
