"Is this a pirate ship?"
Under the watchful eyes of the surrounding pirates, Ryūjin Uchiha stood completely at ease, not even bothering to acknowledge their presence. His gaze lingered instead on the ship itself, curiosity flickering in his eyes.
But as he looked closer, he noticed a very familiar figure.
Nami.
Judging by her short hair and youthful appearance, Ryūjin quickly placed the timeline. This was around the period when rookies like Luffy and Zoro were beginning to make their names, most likely somewhere in the East Blue.
He had just arrived in this world and already ran into one of the future main figures. Talk about timing.
"Hey, brat! The captain's talking to you and you're just staring around? You want to die?"
A pirate barked angrily, glaring at him.
"Kid, you're not afraid of me?" Akakuma raised an eyebrow, irritation clear in his voice.
He aimed to become a pirate feared across the seas, yet this random kid ignored him like he was nothing.
"You're the captain?" Ryūjin finally looked at him, his tone indifferent. "Answer a few questions, and I won't hold you accountable for wrecking my boat."
The deck fell silent.
Then laughter erupted.
"Is this guy insane?"
Nami watched from the side, stunned. She had spent years drifting through the East Blue, following different pirate crews. The Evil Bear Pirates were not weak, especially their captain, a Devil Fruit user.
Even in the East Blue, Devil Fruit users were rare. Anyone with such power held status.
And yet this quiet-looking guy was acting like this?
That was just suicidal.
"Are you looking down on me?" Akakuma's face twisted with anger.
Without warning, he threw a massive punch toward Ryūjin.
The pirates grinned, expecting to see the kid sent flying.
Instead, Ryūjin casually raised a hand and caught the punch.
Effortlessly.
Silence.
Akakuma froze. The crew stared in disbelief.
Whoosh.
Akakuma immediately followed with another punch, no longer holding back.
Ryūjin did not even bother dodging. He simply kicked out.
Bang.
Akakuma's massive body flew several meters into the air before crashing heavily onto the deck.
The entire ship shook.
No one spoke.
Their captain had just been sent flying in one move.
"This guy… is he serious?" Nami muttered, stunned.
"You… you injured me!" Akakuma staggered up, wiping blood from his mouth, fury overtaking his fear. "You're dead!"
His body began to twist and expand.
In seconds, a massive black bear stood where he had been, towering over two meters tall.
A Zoan-type transformation.
"I'll crush you into paste!" Akakuma roared, charging forward.
The crew erupted into cheers.
While everyone focused on the fight, Nami quietly slipped away toward the cabin.
Boom, boom.
Each step of the giant bear shook the ship.
Nami glanced back once more, pity flashing in her eyes.
That guy was finished.
The bear closed in, raising a massive paw and swinging it down.
Ryūjin did not move.
He stood there, like he did not care at all.
Only at the last moment did he act.
A simple punch.
Nothing fancy.
Nothing dramatic.
Just raw power.
Bang.
The giant bear was sent flying again, crashing violently onto the deck.
Silence fell once more.
Even the air seemed to freeze.
Akakuma coughed violently, blood spilling from his mouth. This time, he could not even stand.
Fear filled his eyes as he stared at Ryūjin.
"What kind of monster…"
"Ding. Host has defeated a Devil Fruit user. Reward obtained: Akakuma Fruit."
The system notification echoed in Ryūjin's mind.
A Devil Fruit appeared in his storage.
"Akakuma Fruit?" Ryūjin scoffed.
To him, it was worthless.
Unless it was one of the top-tier fruits, he could not care less.
He had only been curious.
Without another word, he turned and jumped off the ship, landing on his small boat.
His goal had already been achieved. He confirmed the timeline and location the moment he saw Nami.
There was no reason to waste time with weaklings.
The pirates stood there, stunned.
Even after defeating their captain so easily, he just left?
No threats?
Not even a demand?
What was wrong with this guy?
They rushed to the edge of the ship and watched as Ryūjin stood on his small boat, back facing them.
He did not move.
"Move the ship! Now!" Akakuma shouted.
The crew scrambled, steering the ship away as fast as they could.
Only after putting distance between them did they finally breathe again.
"That guy… who is he?" Nami whispered, staring at Ryūjin from afar.
Her plan to steal treasure was completely forgotten.
On the small boat, Ryūjin ignored them all.
He was focused on something else.
The Devil Fruit.
He pulled it out and examined it.
A strange, pitch-black fruit, ugly and unappealing.
"So this is a Devil Fruit."
He lost interest almost immediately.
But then he paused.
Something felt off.
He could sense energy within it.
Clearly.
"This feels… like chakra?"
He narrowed his eyes.
Not identical, but incredibly similar.
Even more surprising, the power within his Six Paths chakra reacted to it, as if resonating.
As if it wanted that energy.
Ryūjin frowned.
"What exactly is this?"
After a brief moment of thought, he activated his Rinnegan and used the Absorption Seal.
The result shocked him.
The energy inside the Devil Fruit began to flow into his body.
Smoothly.
Effortlessly.
No resistance at all.
It was as if the two energies were fundamentally compatible.
"What the hell…"
The energy was quickly broken down and absorbed into his Six Paths chakra.
