Chapter 153 - 153: One Strike Against Thirty Thousand

As the Ninja Alliance and Konoha released their statements one after another, the atmosphere across the entire Ninja World grew tense and unstable.

Almost every eye turned toward Konoha.

Most people were waiting to see it fall.

Very few believed Konoha could survive the coming assault from the Allied Forces.

"They really think thirty thousand people can take down Uchiha Ryūjin? Yeah right, what a joke."

Obito let out a cold, dismissive scoff. He had crossed paths with Ryūjin more than once, and he had personally witnessed his clashes against Senju Hashirama and Uchiha Madara.

If anyone understood Ryūjin's strength, it was him.

Ryūjin's arsenal was overwhelming. His techniques seemed endless. Even without everything else, just the combined power of the Rinnegan and Sharingan alone was enough to push the Allied Forces to their limits.

And then there was that golden sword.

Obito doubted whether the entire Allied Forces could withstand even a few swings of it.

Of course, such power demanded a heavy Chakra cost. Even so, based on what he had seen at the Valley of the End, Ryūjin could release four or five of those attacks in succession without issue.

And that was not even counting Wood Release techniques like Deep Forest Emergence or Flower Tree Emergence.

With the Rinnegan, he could even summon the Gedo Statue.

Thirty thousand shinobi trying to kill Uchiha Ryūjin was unrealistic.

If anything, it was hard to say how many of those thirty thousand would survive.

"The Ninja World's completely unstable now," Tobi muttered from the side. "This Uchiha Ryūjin really knows how to stir things up."

Obito said nothing. His expression turned complicated.

In the past, chaos like this would have worked in his favor. The more disorder there was, the easier it would have been for him to gather the Tailed Beasts.

But things had changed.

Ever since he began suspecting Zetsu, the Eye of the Moon Plan no longer held the same appeal.

What mattered now was something else entirely.

Was what Ryūjin said true?

Was Zetsu really Kaguya's son, and were he and Madara nothing more than pawns?

"This battle will be the bloodiest since the era of the Sage of Six Paths."

High above, in a spiritual plane, the Sage of Six Paths observed everything in silence.

"The Ninja World will change completely."

Unlike the others, he already knew the outcome.

The Allied Forces would lose.

He was the only one who truly understood Ryūjin's level.

With the Rinnegan, the Tenseigan, and the power of seven Tailed Beasts sealed within him, Ryūjin had already surpassed the limits of the Ninja World.

Numbers meant nothing against him.

"…Should I stop him?"

The Sage considered the possibility.

But after a long pause, he dismissed the thought.

His Chakra was limited. Every action carried a cost he could not afford.

Unless there was no other choice, he would not interfere.

And so, under the watch of the entire Ninja World, two quiet but restless days passed.

Then the day arrived.

December 9th.

At the outskirts of Iwagakure, the Allied Forces had fully assembled.

Thirty thousand shinobi stood in formation, stretching across the land like a dark tide. Even standing still, their presence alone created immense pressure.

Mei Terumī, Kitsuchi, and Baki stood at the front, their expressions firm.

They were the commanders of this campaign.

"Everyone, move out!"

At Mei Terumī's command, the entire force surged forward.

The ground trembled beneath their steps.

Thump. Thump. Thump.

The sound rolled across the land like distant thunder.

"The Allied Forces have begun their advance!"

News spread instantly.

Across every village, people stopped what they were doing and focused on the war.

Under countless watchful eyes, the massive army advanced without resistance, cutting straight toward Konoha.

Soon, they reached its borders.

Waiting for them were Konoha's forces.

A little over two thousand shinobi stood in formation.

Compared to the Allied Forces, they looked insignificant.

The difference in numbers was overwhelming.

At the very front stood a single figure.

Relaxed posture, indifferent gaze.

Uchiha Ryūjin.

The Fifth Hokage.

"Ahead is the Hokage and Konoha's forces," Mei Terumī called out, raising her arm. "Our objective is simple. Wipe them out."

"Kill!"

"Kill!"

"Kill!"

The roar of thirty thousand voices shook the sky.

From the shadows, observers watched in silence.

"Konoha's finished."

"The strongest village is about to fall."

"There's no way they survive this."

On Konoha's side, tension was suffocating.

Sweat dripped down faces. Some swallowed nervously.

Even seasoned figures like Nara Shikaku and Morino Ibiki were on edge.

This battle would decide everything.

Victory meant Konoha would stand above all others.

Defeat meant complete annihilation.

Instinctively, their gazes turned toward Ryūjin.

Everything depended on him.

"Hokage-sama," Shikaku said firmly, "we are ready. Give the order."

At this point, retreat was not an option.

No matter their past doubts, every shinobi in Konoha now stood united.

Ryūjin glanced at them.

"No need to look like you're heading to a funeral," he said casually. "It's just thirty thousand."

A few forced smiles appeared.

Only he could say something like that.

"This will be the easiest war you've ever been in," he continued. "You've only got one job."

Shikaku straightened. "What is it?"

Everyone focused.

Ryūjin's voice remained steady.

"Five minutes from now, clean up the battlefield."

Silence.

Shikaku froze.

Hizashi blinked.

Ibiki stared.

No one knew how to respond.

Ryūjin had already started walking forward.

Step by step, alone.

His movements were unhurried, like he was out for a casual walk.

The reaction was immediate.

"He's going alone?"

"That's suicide!"

"No one can take on thirty thousand!"

Even the Allied Forces were caught off guard.

"He plans to fight us alone?" Kitsuchi frowned.

"Works for me," Mei Terumī replied with a cold smile. "If he wants to die, we'll oblige."

"Charge!"

The army surged forward.

The ground shook harder.

Opposite them, a single figure kept walking.

The contrast was absolute.

The distance closed.

Three kilometers.

Two.

One.

Hundreds of meters.

Konoha held its breath.

Spectators watched without blinking.

Then Ryūjin stopped.

His eyes shifted.

The Tenseigan activated.

A Truth Seeking Orb formed and reshaped itself into a golden blade.

"Watch out!" Mei Terumī shouted. "That's the technique that wiped out thousands of Kumo shinobi!"

Everyone tensed.

They knew the attack.

But knowing it did not mean they could survive it.

Ryūjin raised his hand slightly.

Then he swung.

A blinding golden arc erupted outward, stretching for kilometers.

It tore through the Allied Forces like a storm cutting through dry leaves.

There was no resistance.

No defense.

Every shinobi it touched was thrown into the air.

Blood filled the sky.

In a single moment, the entire army collapsed.

Bodies rained down from above.

Thirty thousand shinobi.

Gone in one strike.
