Neo stood in front of the mirror in a quest to perfect the tie around his neck. He was wearing a tailored black suit with a burgundy tie.
He was dressed as neat as usual but for some reason, he felt especially uncomfortable.
A knock suddenly sounded at the door of the room that was ajar. Neo saw his father on the other side of the door.
"Can I come in?" he said.
"Of course." Neo didn't need to think twice about request.
His father stepped into the room with the trace of a smile on his lips. Neo could see the man's expression through the reflection on the mirror.
"You look really nice." He said, then gestured to help Neo with the tie.
Neo stepped back without declining. His father disentangled what Neo had been doing with the tie before and started afresh.
"You know, im really proud of the man you're becoming," his father started to say.
Neo raised a brow, wondering where this sort of talk was coming from.
