“I will not be marked.” Neo said.

He turned his neck to look at Bryce. “Step back.”

The threat in his tone was clear. “Or I’ll make you step back.”

Neo was betrayed and left to die in the most important mission of his life. 

When he opened his eyes again, it was ten years later and the world had moved on without him. He, who was once the strongest hunter on Mars, suddenly became a civilian without any of his abilities.

Neo has to build himself up from scratch but his sync partners—the people who are supposed to be his soulmates—are set on holding him back and controlling him.

Helios and Armin seemed to have extricated themselves from the conversation Bryce and Neo were having. 


Neo wanted to tell Bryce that missing someone didn't work like that. He couldn't miss a person for two.


Before he could say that, Bryce leaned over and rested his head on Neo's shoulder. 


"Senior… I tried to do what you told me to." Bryce spoke with a small voice.


"I don't have interest in anything other than you…" Bryce whined. "The only thing I want to do is you."


"Shut it." Neo pushed Bryce's head away from his shoulder when he heard those words. He could sense the fact that Helios and Armin were giving the two of them strange looks.
