Vance's Office - The next day
I spent the night with Jonathan after a long time.
And as promised, we both drove off to Vance's office as from now on we would deal with this investigation together.
At first Vance was surprised to see me, and began to talk like nothing was going on,
Until Jonathan told me I knew everything and now I'm part of the investigation.
As we were reviewing some files, I knew one sentence was revolving in every one's mind.
The handwritten line Fredrick wrote:
Jonathan must marry Imelda.
Jonathan assumed Fredrick was involved in making him accept Adrian as his son.
But Vance said we should rebuild the timeline from the day everything began instead of making assumptions.
So we began to make a chart pinning every meeting, every invitation, every business event, and every coincidence between Fredrick and Jonathan from day one.
Vance spread dozens of files across the desk.
