Jaku City – Late Afternoon
Absalon ran through the busy streets of Jaku city like the Flash, thanks to the Rabbit Talisman. It might seem bold to run around in public where people could call the police or warn heroes but he wasn't that stupid.
He was using the Snake Talisman to stay invisible while moving at Mach 300, far faster than any bullet train.
Why was Absalon here in the middle of the day, when he usually operated at night? This wasn't about AFO's secret labs—John wasn't even sure they existed in this time period yet.
He ran straight to a good-looking neighbourhood and checked every window and backyard of each house.
"No."
He muttered, moving to the next seeing a woman having a massage with another woman.
"Dammit."
He stopped at a black house with a large tree behind it. Peeking through the window, he saw a family watching football.
"This family is too happy to be it."
Another house. A single father and three kids eating instant ramen.
"Not here. But damn, that's just sad."
He left—but not without knocking on the door and leaving a large stack of cash for them to find.
After thirty minutes of searching the entire neighbourhood, Absalon retreated to a nearby forest outside the city limits. He started walking slowly, then stopped.
Breathing in.
"FUCK YOU KOHEI HORIKOSHI!"
His scream echoed through the trees. Birds and animals within a fifty-meter radius scattered. He punched tree after tree, venting his frustration.
Minutes later, he calmed down. Using the Horse Talisman power he restored the trees he had destroyed.
Leaning against one he hadn't touched, Absalon pulled out a small notebook and pen. He crossed out Jaku City from a list of other locations.
"Looks like little Tenko isn't here. Just my fucking luck trying to prevent the future from happening."
He thought back to what he knew from his past life. Tenko's tragic beginning, the abuse from his father just for mentioning heroes. How All For One had stolen his Float Quirk and replaced it with Decay—leading to the death of his entire family.
His father deserved what happened. But Tenko's grandmother, Nana Shimura? She had made terrible choices. No proper letter to her son. Forbidding Torino and All Might from ever meeting him.
"Sigh, Nana Shimura didn't make a proper letter to explain things. Forbidding Torino and All Might from meeting him? Those were terrible choices for a mother, a teacher and a friend. Like shit, this has to be her worst long term plan record in the world."
He put the notebook back and sighed. He wasn't physically tired—just mentally exhausted.
"Damn you, Kohei Horikoshi for making everything so vague."
Absalon reactivated his invisibility and flew at hypersonic speed, heading back home.
'I wonder if Ai and Rover would like lasagna for dinner tonight.'
.........
Meanwhile, in Tokyo, the commissioner of the HPSC and his assistant, Seiji, arrived at a multi-story building with a massive flaming letter "E" on its facade.
"Commissioner, I understand your reasoning for bringing him in to take down Absalon," Seiji said as she walked beside him. "But will that even work?"
The commissioner carried a suitcase filled with photos and files documenting Absalon's activities over the past year.
"Lady Nagant is our top assassin—a weapon for preserving society. She has never failed to eliminate threats to the status quo or the public's trust in heroes. Not until Absalon took a bullet like it was nothing. That marked her first failed kill, and it shows just how powerful he is. That's why we need the number two hero to take Absalon down for good."
He wiped the sweat from his face. The stress and constant thoughts of Absalon had taken their toll evident in the dark circles under his eyes.
Both entered the building and stepped into an elevator heading to the highest floor, accompanied by one of the secretaries. After a short ride, they reached their destination.
They exited, and the secretary took the lead, guiding them past sidekicks who were training. Eventually, they stopped in front of a door.
The secretary knocked.
"What is it?"
"Sorry to disturb you, sir. The commissioner of the Hero Public Safety Commission and his assistant, Seiji, are here to see you."
Silence for a few seconds.
"Come in."
The doors opened, revealing a large office with expensive furniture.
But neither the commissioner nor Seiji paid attention to the decor. Their focus was on the man seated behind the desk the number two hero, Endeavor.
He sat with his arms folded, his flames flickering in the shape of a beard and mustache, projecting an imposing presence. The secretary bowed and left, leaving the commissioner and Seiji standing before him.
"Good afternoon, Endeavor. It's good that you let—"
"Enough with the small talk," Endeavor cut in, his voice harsh. "We're not partners. Get to the point you're wasting my time."
The commissioner and Seiji felt the sting of disrespect, but they had requested this meeting knowing Endeavor was in the middle of handling a villain. The commissioner placed the briefcase on the desk and opened it, pulling out a file filled with photos of Absalon.
"The hell are these?"
"These are photos of a vigilante named Absalon. I'm sure you've heard of him."
Endeavor's eyes narrowed at the name. He had heard of Absalon—his attacks on criminal organizations were both efficient and brutal. Even if Absalon had saved lives, to Endeavor, he was no hero. He was a villain using his Quirk without a license.
The commissioner laid out the photos for Endeavor to see.
One showed Absalon using a sledgehammer to smash three criminals' heads into bloody paste with a single swing. Another captured him driving his hand through a villain's chest like a blade. The last showed traffickers being crushed under what looked like telekinesis, Absalon's hand raised as if commanding their deaths.
"As you can see, these are the serious crimes Absalon has committed over the past year. He's threatening the status quo through extreme violence. We've tried to stop him by sending pro heroes, but none of them recovered after what he did to them."
Endeavor leaned back.
"So this is where you come to me."
Both the commissioner and Seiji nodded at Endeavor's confirmation.
"Yes. We fear that if this continues, the peace we've built for society will be destroyed. Absalon will become a symbol of rebellion against the government."
Seiji spoke, but Endeavor's focus remained on the photos. The word symbol made his mind drift to All Might the true symbol he could never surpass.
Silence hung in the room for a moment. Then Endeavor stood from his chair, looking down at them.
"Fine. If you find out where Absalon is, contact me I'll be there. But I will take him down my own way and I will not wait for backup by your request. Understood?"
He shot them a glare that made both freeze. They nodded quickly.
The commissioner and Seiji exited the office, making their way out of the agency to return to their own work.
Endeavor remained behind, studying the photos, memorizing every detail of Absalon's appearance in case he encountered him on patrol.
'A random vigilante becoming a symbol to the public? Ridiculous. They're out of their minds thinking that way and he's been running around committing atrocities for over a year? No matter what they say, he's a villain for breaking the law and I will put him down.'
He left the office to continue his duties as a hero.
.............
Meanwhile, John was back home cooking dinner while Ai worked on simple math problems he'd assigned her. Rover watched TV in the corner.
"Onii-chan, why do I have to do this?"
"Because playing games everyday isn't healthy."
Ai pouted and went back to her math, clearly not happy about it. John noticed her disappointment.
"Okay, you can take a break. Dinner will be ready soon."
Ai's face lit up. She rushed over to the couch to watch TV with Rover while John pulled out his phone and browsed Moogle.
I wonder which construction business would be willing to let me use my mech.
His eyes landed on a familiar name.
Uraraka Construction.
He remembered Ochaco Uraraka's parents owned a small construction company and they were struggling financially. John smiled, seeing an opportunity.
.....
Time passed. Dinner was over Ai and Rover were in the living room, watching an All Might movie. John didn't bother joining them, this world's movies lacked creativity and story.
In the garage, he pulled out a cylinder casing. Inside, a double-helix strand of bright neon-blue plasma swirled.
He inserted it into the large arc reactor, which automatically closed and lit up.
John carried the reactor to the back of his mech, placed it inside, and closed the hatch. Machinery hummed to life. Screens and buttons flickered on.
The mech's eyes flashed blue.
John grinned, his hard work had paid off.
"Alright. Time to help out a struggling family."
End
[John getting the mech started? Yeah I didn't bother using a explanation how he does it cause the game doesn't give out all the details how it's made. Also give me comments right now]
