After discovering the Battle Royal will take place the next day at sunrise, he rallies his friends and they rest for the night. And wake up ready to take on the monumental task of winning the Battle Royal Death Match.
After sleeping in an inn that the group totally paid for, they arrive at the undisclosed location that Jwiler told them about.
"Jeez this place is packed." Ishida says.
"Yeah I've noticed like half the two have gotta be here!" Ryizen gasps looking around.
"It doesn't matter how many people there are. We're gonna win." Ajax says looking down at the ground.
"Is he alright? He's been like that ever since we saw Jwiler yesterday." Rumi says concerned looking at Ajax.
Ishida sighs then looks at Rumi.
"If it's one thing I know about that knucklehead. He's in his right state of mind. But it's like Ryizen said last night. It's a swordsman thing. He's fine. He's just working through something." He says.
"Hello and welcome all, it's time for the 5th annual Battle Royal Death Match!" Nagama's voice booms from above revealing him, Jwiler, and Poka standing above the area.
"There he is." Ajax says glaring up at Nagama.
"So he's here." Nagama mumbles to himself looking at Ajax.
"This year as always the reward will be a simple one! The reward will be to talk to anyone of the Shogunate office without any trouble of course! "He says, his voice booming.
Mummers spread throughout the area. Many liking the idea of that reward.
"However, as usual, If anyone challenges me and wins then the games immediately will end and they gain the reward." Nagama says, grinning down at the contestants.
As that gets declared the mummers die down.
"I've heard during these games Nagama has never been defeated." A voice squeaks.
"Yeah I've heard that it's ridiculous to fight him one on one. Hell, I've heard he's beaten entire Kabukimono's on his lonesome!" Another voice panics.
"Yeah I'm definitely not trying that anyone who does that is a mad man!" A voice pipes in.
"Well it's a good thing we're not doing that." Rumi says smiling to herself thankfully.
"Anyways each member of your Kabukimono will be brandished with a mark that best describes your group." Nagama says.
As Nagama finishes a lightning bolt mark appears on Ajax's group.
"And let the games begin, go ahead and step through that door." Nagama says as he, Jwiler, and Poka disappear.
"This has gotta be a joke right? I mean if we walk through that door we'll all get slaughtered by the first guy that goes through." Ryizen says on guard.
Ajax without any hesitation pushes his way towards the door.
"Ajax are you insane! Who knows what's on the other side of that door!" Rumi shrieks.
Before Ajax can make a counterargument he's pushed through the door.
After Ajax is pushed through the door there's a lot of silence between all the contestants.
"Hey bozo, why'd you go and push my leader like that!" Ishida says grabbing the culprit.
"Hey man, someone had to start it off." He squeaks.
"Oh yeah!" Ishida says, throwing the man through the door.
"Screw this waiting let's go before everyone tries to go through the door." Ryizen suggests.
"Yeah I agree." Ishida says.
"Are you guys nuts!?" Rumi groans.
Without a second thought Ishida grabs Rumi and yanks her through the door as Ryizen follows.
One second Ishida's foots on the door then the next he's free falling out of the sky.
"What the hell?!" Ishida says, looking down towards the ground.
"Dammit so that's their trick huh? And wait Rumi? Where is she?" Ishida thinks to himself.
"Well gotta brace for impact!" Ishida says, shutting his eyes before crashing into the ground.
As Ishida opens his eyes he's barely in any pain. In fact his suit is barely stained.
"Huh guess it makes you immortal when you fa-" Ishida starts before someone faceplants into red mist and a crater of blood beside him.
"Guess not." Ishida panics.
"Well, I hope the others are okay. It looks like a massive open field. Plenty of space." He whistles.
Meanwhile Ryizen stands on the ground in an abandoned barn, hand on his sword hilt.
"Damn took one step and now where the hell am I?" He snarls.
"Seems it warped us to prevent us from sticking with our group. But what's the point of even enlisting your Kabukimono then?!" He sighs.
"Whatever, I'm sure they'll be fine as long as Ishida holds onto Rumi. There's no way they'd get split up or that'd totally ruin the plan"." Ryizen says as he begins to walk out the barn.
Meanwhile Ajax walks on a great looking street that looks barely damaged.
"Hmmm what was it that Rumi said?" He thinks to himself.
"Oh yeah that game will immediately end if I beat Nagama!" He grins.
And with that declaration he begins to walk to the massive castle that lies up ahead of him.
"Say boy, you think you can just walk up this road and kill Nagama and end the games cause you wanna? That's too bad." A figure says behind Ajax.
"Not in the mood for interruptions. I'd advise you to walk away before things get bad." Ajax says still walking, refusing to look at the figure.
"Think you're better than everyone else huh? I've seen your kind before kid!" The figure runs at Ajax who immediately ducks dodging the attack.
"Nimble little fella however it won't be enough!" The figure says preparing another attack before Ajax's sword cuts deep into his collarbone.
"When did he even unsheath his-" the figure says before slumping to the ground.
"Like I said. I'm not in the mood for interruptions." Ajax says removing his sword from the figure's collar sheathing his sword and kicking the figure away.
After plenty of minutes of walking Ajax arrives at the Castle door.
"Hmmm, can I knock? Or do I have to burst through here?" Ajax contemplates at the door before it suddenly swings open.
"Problem solved." Ajax chuckles and walks into the castle.
As Ajax walks through some rooms he arrives into a big opening in the castle.
"Ajax Nozami, it seems fate is a funny thing. It's a pleasure to meet you. A voice says appearing through a couple of double doors revealing Nagama with Jwiler and Poka standing beside him.
Jwiler finally sees Ajax and his eyes widen immediately.
"Ajax you fool why are you here!? Didn't your group tell you not to fight Nagama?" He says frightened.
"Oh that's what Rumi said. Makes more sense." Ajax says followed by a small chuckle though he doesn't seem to be chuckling at a joke.
"So what's the meaning of this Ajax Nozami? Why are you here?" Nagama grins.
"I don't know you so don't use my full name ever again. And why am I here? Yesterday I saw Jwiler terrified with fear in his voice. And he was in pain before when we talked as well. Was that all your doing?" Ajax says suddenly very serious.
"Oh? And if I was?" Nagama eggs Ajax on.
"Then it's plain and simple. Ajax says worry starting to set in Jwiler's face.
"I'll just have to kick your ass for treating Jwiler that way!" Ajax says unsheathing his sword.
