Chapter 1 - BIRTH OF RAVANA

Chapter 1:

Ages before the birth of Rama, when the world was ruled by mighty kings, sages, and celestial beings, there stood the golden island of Lanka in the middle of the vast ocean. Its palaces glittered like the sun, and its towers touched the clouds.

But the story of Lanka's most powerful ruler began long before he sat upon its throne.

The sage Vishrava, renowned for his wisdom and spiritual power, lived a life of austerity and knowledge. His fame spread across the three worlds. At the same time, the Rakshasa clan, once mighty and feared, had fallen from its former glory.

Among them was Kaikesi, the daughter of the Rakshasa chief Sumali. Sumali desired to restore the greatness of his race. Believing that a child born from the union of Kaikesi and the great sage Vishrava would possess extraordinary strength, he urged his daughter to seek the sage's hand.

One evening, as the sun disappeared beyond the horizon and darkness slowly covered the earth, Kaikesi arrived at Vishrava's hermitage. The sage sensed her presence and understood the purpose of her visit.

"You have come at an unusual hour," Vishrava said calmly. "The children born from this union will possess immense power, but because this meeting has occurred during an inauspicious time, they may also carry fierce and destructive qualities."

Kaikesi bowed respectfully. The destiny of the future had already begun to unfold.

In time, Kaikesi gave birth to a son unlike any other. The moment of his birth was accompanied by strange signs. Powerful winds swept across the land. Clouds gathered in the sky. The earth seemed to tremble.

The child possessed extraordinary energy. His cry echoed like thunder.

The boy was named Dashagriva, meaning "the one of ten heads." In later years, the world would know him by another name—a name that would inspire fear among gods, kings, and warriors alike.

Ravana.

No one could foresee that this child would one day challenge heaven itself, rule the golden city of Lanka, and become one of the most powerful beings ever born.

Yet destiny had already begun weaving its path.

Far in the future, another child would be born in Ayodhya.

And the fate of both would become forever intertwined.
