Chapter 164 - Chapter 164: The House Where Tapes Cry

One day, there was a knock on her door.

"Who is it?" Deya asked, sure she knew who had come.

Seeing Yuno enter the room only confirmed her suspicions. But contrary to expectations, Yuno didn't scold her. Instead, the girl smiled tenderly and said:

"Get dressed, let's go. I want to show you something."

The car stopped in front of a weathered house. Despite its appearance, it was clear the house was cared for. Taking out a key, Yuno unlocked it and went inside.

In the dim light, Deya, following her, saw photographs and many hand-drawn portraits.

"This is the house where Lily's family lived. Your brother doesn't know I come here, so let this be our little secret," Yuno said.

Hearing this, Deya was very surprised — she was sure Yuno had no secrets from her brother.

"What I'm about to show you will be hard to watch. You can still leave," Yuno said, taking out a tape and heading to the VCR.

Deya knew what she was about to see was related to her brother, so she nodded, showing determination. Yuno sat down and, taking the remote, played the recording.

Deya saw a rather brutal rape scene. What she saw shocked Deya, and the thought of what her brother must have felt watching this made her shed bitter tears. Now her behavior seemed childish and foolish. Seeing this, Yuno hugged her gently.

When Deya calmed down a little, she looked around the living room and asked:

"What's on those tapes?"

"Let's just say your brother and big sister Lily enjoyed making home videos," Yuno replied with a smirk.

"I know he can be very strict, but I hope you can understand him. Honestly, I don't think he'll let you go alone. You'll be watched. I know you're not a stupid girl and can understand that. Don't blame him or hold a grudge — he's very afraid of losing loved ones again, so please be careful and take care of yourself."

"Were the ones who did this to her found?" Deya asked.

"No. Only the bodies of the perpetrators were found. Your brother spent many years trying to find the masterminds, but it led nowhere. That's what drove him to create the 'Devils' group," Yuno said.

And noticing the girl tense up, she added:

"Relax, I know you know about it. That archive Miku sent you years ago — this video was in it."

"But how do you know about that?"

"Miku told us some time ago. I don't think I'll ever forgive her for what she did, but I can at least try, seeing that she truly repents."

"Your brother can cross the line, but he truly loves us," Yuno said.

"Did you know about this?" the girl asked thoughtfully.

"Yes, I was on backup in case you couldn't shoot. And yes, I think he did the right thing. We won't always be around, and you need to be ready to shoot if necessary."
