His next destination was Mikie's gym. It was not only his gym but also his home. Ray hadn't warned anyone about his return to the city, so for the old boxer, his visit was a complete surprise and a pleasant shock.
Warmly embracing his guest, Mikie prepared tea. When they settled at the table, he asked:
"How are things at your company?"
"Everything is running its course. We have a strong team. Little Deya and this work — it helps me, albeit with difficulty, to still move forward."
"That's good. I know you're eaten up by thoughts of Violetta. But don't forget — she was only a child. I'm sure that one day she'll understand everything. That girl thinks she can't forgive you.
