Ray was glad he had chosen the right people. He understood: even if he were gone, the "Devils" could continue their work.
As if catching his thoughts, Sergei said:
"I know what you're thinking. And this is one of those cases where you're wrong. Yes, the 'Devils' can operate without you. But they would fall apart very quickly. The reason is that we don't yet have a solid ideology. We're working on it, but it needs time. Right now, you are our symbol. It was you who inspired many to this struggle."
"You're right," Ray agreed. "But that's precisely why I wear this mask. Anyone who shares our ideas can promote them. The main thing is that the person understands where we are heading and why."
Having said goodbye to Sergei, Ray headed to the cemetery. On the monument were four portraits: Amy, Lily, and two girls.
Tami and Jessica. From the style of the images, one could tell the girls in them were about seven years old. Ray changed the monument every few years, each time personally drawing new portraits.
He was glad he had once found the time to learn to draw. Kneeling before the grave, he said quietly:
"Hello, girls... Daddy misses you very much. I should have come sooner, but there are things I must finish, and people I need to look after. Forgive me for making you wait."
Ray spent the entire night at the cemetery, telling them about his life.
