"Why are you grabbing me?"
"Demon Blade, I gave it to you, why are you still grabbing me?"
Hoshimi Aya fell silent for a while, completely giving up, and asked the reason for her capture.
If they had just taken the blade away, she could have understood. After all, the Demon Blade possessed immense power, something the Praise Society had always coveted.
"It's a secret."
"You'll know when we get there."
Officer Sarah made a shushing gesture and took out a mobile phone, but before she could dial, she heard a phone ringing.
"Tsk."
Officer Sarah speechlessly fished the phone out of Hoshimi Aya's possession, cracked open the car door slightly, and tossed it out.
"That's a phone I spent a lot of money on."
"I haven't even used it for long..."
Hoshimi Aya looked at her phone being thrown away, feeling a bit heartbroken.
Moreover, this was the latest model specially selected for her by Ling; she hadn't even used it long before it was ruined.
Officer Sarah returned to her seat as if nothing had happened and continued dialing a number.
Soon, the call on the other end was answered.
"Sarah, I haven't heard from you these past two days. I thought you were gone."
"How is your plan proceeding?"
"If you're short on manpower, I can send some more people over from my side."
A mature male voice came through the phone.
"Hehe, the plan is proceeding very smoothly."
"I have both the person and the blade in hand."
"It was even simpler than I anticipated."
"The plan was completed at virtually zero cost."
Officer Sarah smiled, as she had brought the original team and was bringing the original team back. Apart from some minor injuries, there were basically no losses.
As expected, after Officer Sarah finished speaking.
A national treasure sound came from the other end of the line, laced with disbelief.
"What?!"
"You already captured the person?!"
"And without any losses?!"
On the other end of the phone, Bringer slammed the table hard, his eyes filled with disbelief.
This was a Void Hunter!!
All the people he sent over combined weren't enough to cut it!!
That's why he later asked if they needed to send more reinforcements; after all, he felt that small number of people could never possibly take down a Void Hunter!
But reality slapped him hard across the face.
Officer Sarah had captured a Void Hunter without losing a single soldier, and judging by her tone, she sounded very relaxed!
This was simply the most shocking news he had ever heard.
"Don't get agitated. If you don't believe me."
"She's right beside me now. You can listen if you don't believe it."
Officer Sarah teased.
Since this was something worth bragging about, she naturally had to share it. Otherwise, where would she get a sense of accomplishment?
"No need. What you said is enough."
"I naturally believe you."
"Where are you now?"
"Do you need me to send someone over to meet you?"
Bringer inquired. After all, capturing a Void Hunter was such a major event.
It definitely required extreme caution. If they weren't careful, the person might escape.
After all, they didn't have anyone there who could officially block an attack from a Void Hunter.
So, being safe was better.
"No need, everything is going smoothly on my end."
"We haven't encountered any resistance yet."
As she spoke, Officer Sarah took down a syringe from the wall.
Seeing this, Hoshimi Aya tried to shift her position, but it was useless.
The needle still descended, and that feeling of powerlessness surged into her heart again.
Her condition, which had slightly recovered, reverted to its initial state.
Helpless, she could basically do nothing other than speak normally.
Even a slight push might cause her to collapse onto the recliner, unable to sit up.
Just as Hoshimi Aya was about to complain about Officer Sarah's caution, the vehicle suddenly experienced a violent jolt.
"What's going on?!"
Officer Sarah stabilized herself and asked. That sudden shake almost made her stumble, but fortunately, she held onto the car wall to steady her body.
"Sarah, what happened on your end?"
Bringer asked, hearing the sudden change in tone.
"It's nothing, perhaps we ran into a small problem."
"To be cautious, send some people over to meet us."
"I'm currently on my way to the K1 Base."
After saying that, Officer Sarah hung up the phone and went to the front of the car.
"Officer Sarah, a group of the Motorcycle Clan has attacked us."
The rebel driving the car reported.
"Leave one team to intercept them, we're accelerating forward!"
Officer Sarah decisively gave the order.
The rebel nodded and repeated Officer Sarah's words.
...Meanwhile.
Outside the carriage.
"Caesar, according to Fairy's detection, the signal source for Aya's earpiece is coming from that vehicle."
Eous pointed at the vehicle where Hoshimi Aya was located.
"Got it, Pai Pai!"
Caesar looked at the vehicle Eous was pointing at.
"Roger that."
Pai Pai heard Caesar and made an OK gesture, revved up the large truck, and accelerated forward, preparing to intercept that vehicle.
Meanwhile, Ling was still trying to re-establish a connection with Hoshimi Aya's earpiece.
Previously, they had been tracking the footprints they left behind, but after tracking for a while, Fairy located the signal source of Hoshimi Aya's earpiece.
It was likely because it was hidden in the fox ears and went undiscovered.
Just as the group prepared to start the interception, the vehicle carrying Hoshimi Aya suddenly began to accelerate, and four or five rebels riding motorcycles accelerated along with it.
The remaining ones slowed down, turned their vehicles around, and charged towards Caesar and the others.
"Not good, they've split into two groups."
Ling watched the vehicle speeding away.
"Don't worry, Proxy."
"We will definitely catch up."
After saying that, Caesar violently twisted the throttle, accelerated, and gave chase.
"Wright, Bernice, Pulchra, they are up to you!"
"Pai Pai, you come with me to prepare to go."
Lucy commanded.
The others instantly understood Lucy's meaning.
"Leave it to me."
With that, Pai Pai ignored everything else and rammed directly towards the group of people coming on motorcycles.
Lucy followed behind the large truck. After breaking through this group of rebels, Lucy chased after Caesar, who was already in pursuit.
Pai Pai drove the vehicle while watching the rearview mirror to see if any other rebels were catching up.
If there were, she was responsible for ramming them.
As for the other large trucks of the same model, others would handle them.
Her job was just to ensure that no one from this group of rebels went to provide support.
The group Caesar chased only had four or five escorts left protecting that transport vehicle.
It seemed like it should be easily resolved.
