The terminal should have been dead.

That was the thought sitting in Elena's mind as she walked deeper into the underground structure.

Dust covered parts of the floor.

Rust clung to old support beams.

Paint peeled from sections of the walls.

Yet none of it felt abandoned.

The place felt maintained.

Not recently.

Consistently.

Like someone had spent years making sure it survived.

Alexander stopped beside a control panel.

He brushed dirt away from a metal plate.

The lettering was faded but still readable.

Inspection Schedule.

Mateo stepped closer.

"Who keeps inspection schedules in a place nobody is supposed to know exists?"

Nobody answered.

Because they were all wondering the same thing.

Julian continued moving through the main corridor.

Rows of old freight equipment stretched into the distance.

Conveyors.

Loading systems.

Storage bays.

Most were old.

Some were ancient.

Yet many looked ready to work.
