While watching Earl's petite figure disappear from his sight through the hallway, Zion wanted nothing more than to follow him straight to the cafeteria, despite he was strictly forbidden to go after him.
But he forced his boots to stay glued to the floor. As his mind was aware, he needed to give Earl some space, no matter how much he was trying to hold back.
However, his irritation had to go somewhere else.
Turning around with a dark scowl, as soon as he left the corridor, Zion snapped at the figure lingering a few steps behind him.
"Why are you still following me through the hallway?"
It was none other than Edward who shrugged lazily, leaning against the corridor wall with an amused smirk before they could leave the building.
"Trust me, I have no ambition to follow after a burly Alpha like you." His tone sounded relaxed compared to how agitated both of them had been a moment earlier because of Earl.
