"Why did she call Jack 'Dad'? Did I hear that wrong?" Gwen's mind was full of those thoughts. She didn't even realize they had returned until they appeared near her.
"Jack, did she call you 'Dad' earlier?" Gwen asked hurriedly to clear her doubt.
"Calm down, Gwen. Sit here. I wanna talk to you about something very important." Jack calmed her down and made her sit.
"What?"
So Jack slowly told her almost everything, except his past life. He told her how the Omnitrix selected him and that it was a product from another world. Other than that, he told her everything and looked at Gwen.
"You're all joking with me, right?" Hearing this unbelievable story, she asked Jack again.
"So you're the famous vigilante Blur, and both these girls are from the future, and this girl is our future daughter?" Gwen looked at Emma and asked.
Hearing this, all of them nodded their heads.
"Jack, even if you want to hide the truth, at least tell a believable lie."
Seeing Gwen getting angry, both Emma and Morgan looked at each other. Morgan suddenly transformed into her Iron Man suit at the touch of her bracelet, and Emma transformed into Upgrade.
Seeing this sudden event made Gwen stop.
"Whoa, whoa, what's all this?" The sudden event made her panic as she jumped a few steps back instinctively, looking at the transformed Emma and Morgan.
"You... you're telling the truth." Seeing both Emma and Morgan, Gwen realized what Jack said might be true.
"So she's really my future daughter? How do I believe that? Maybe she transformed into my childhood face too."
Seeing Gwen still not believe them, Jack didn't know how to make her believe the truth.
"Dad, leave it to me. I know how to make Mom believe us."
Emma undid her transformation, walked over to Gwen, and said something that even Jack couldn't hear.
"You're really my future daughter?"
Jack didn't know what Emma said to Gwen, but it seemed she believed it.
Looking at Emma and Jack, Gwen couldn't describe her feelings.
"Let me calm down for a minute."
It took her half an hour to calm down.
"So we're married in the future? Is that set in stone?" Gwen asked lightly as she now understood a little of what was happening.
"Yes, I think so." Jack nodded.
But thinking that she married Jack, and now their daughter had time-traveled to the past because of some villain's gadget, and that both she and Jack had alien watches that could transform them into aliens—each piece of news made Gwen think that even movies wouldn't write something like this, yet it was happening to her.
"And she's that billionaire playboy Tony Stark's daughter, and I'm her godmother too?" Gwen couldn't imagine how she became the godmother of that playboy's daughter.
"Yes, it seems we were very good family friends in the future." Jack was also surprised when he heard this for the first time.
"So, they'll be staying in the present until we find a way to send them back to the future, or do we wait until they're rescued by people from the future?"
"Mm, yeah. Same."
Gwen was silent for a minute.
"I also have a secret I want to tell you. That is, I am Spider-Woman."
Since Jack had told his secret, and Emma was their daughter, she felt that hiding the fact that she was Spider-Woman didn't seem like anything big compared to their secret.
"What? You're Spider-Woman? I didn't expect this."
"How did that happen?"
"Are you making fun of me? You don't seem genuinely shocked."
Gwen could tell Jack was acting, and she could see it clearly.
"What? No. Why do you think that way?"
Gwen didn't see any reaction from Emma and Morgan. That wasn't surprising since Emma was her daughter, so she would know it. Even Morgan might know it. But Jack's acting made Gwen doubt that he already knew from the future.
"Did she already tell you about the future?" Gwen asked, voicing her doubt.
Knowing what Gwen was thinking, Jack explained it to her.
"No, Emma didn't tell me anything about the future, and I also didn't ask anything about the future, since I don't want to know the future and chase after it, or even change the future and cause any problems."
"Then... why did you—"
Before Gwen could finish, Jack explained how he saved her from the spider mutation using the Omnitrix, and that it wasn't really hard to guess who Spider-Woman was.
"So I nearly became a spider monster that day!"
Hearing Jack, Gwen suddenly felt fearful. If Jack hadn't helped her, she couldn't imagine what would have happened.
"Don't worry, Mom. Even if Mom became a monster, I would save you."
Hearing this, Gwen just smiled and rubbed her head as she felt a little better.
"But even after knowing I'm Spider-Woman, you must have had fun watching me try to hide it from you and laughing behind my back."
Hearing this, Jack defended himself.
"Hey, don't get me wrong, I didn't—"
"No, Mom. Dad really made fun of you, telling us your excuses were funny to him. You can even ask Morgan too."
Emma said to Gwen with a sly smile.
"What? When did I ever say anything like that? Don't listen to these girls, they're naughty."
Jack, seeing his daughter trying to set him up, felt cheated.
"Hmph."
Seeing Gwen's expression, Jack quickly diverted her attention.
"I forgot to ask you in all this commotion—why did you come here this morning? You wouldn't come without a reason."
"Yeah, hearing your news, I totally forgot the reason I came here. Yesterday, the Sin-Eater who attacked Dad was arrested by the police. I came here to tell you this news in person."
Gwen said happily.
"Oh, that matter. Yes, actually I'm the one who captured him, and without Emma's help, it would've been a disaster yesterday."
Jack then explained everything that happened yesterday.
"What? The criminal Dad caught yesterday is the guy who attacked Grandfather that Grandmother told us about in the future? If I had known that, I would've kicked him a few times too."
Emma said with a displeased look, thinking she had missed the chance.
"You guys did a good job there. It's a pity the media didn't seem to mention it and gave all the credit to the police."
"It doesn't matter. I don't mind it. Being low-profile is better anyway. The media only reports what the public sees."
"Dad, since Mom now also knows the secret, why don't we visit the city together? It'll be fun."
Emma suddenly shared her idea and looked at them hopefully.
"What? That's dangerous. What if someone who knows both of you sees you together, like an acquaintance? How will we explain it?"
Jack raised his concern.
"Is that the problem? Let's just say she's my cousin. No one will doubt it as long as my parents don't find out."
Gwen shared her idea.
"This could work. Then let's go. I haven't fully explored all the places in New York either."
Jack accepted her idea.
"I should buy a car soon," Jack muttered as he got into the car with everyone.
