Chapter 137 - Olga Gets Played

Pure Gold!

Hearing the news, Ren didn't waste a single second. Even when Bonney got so angry she tried to bite him, he just gave her a swat on the behind instead of his usual "Fist of Love."

A few days later, Ren and Luffy met up on a deserted island in the New World. The moment they saw each other, the two of them threw a wild banquet that lasted for three full days...

It wasn't until Nami tightened her fist and loomed over them that the two finally ended the party and got down to business.

Olga, the girl who possessed the secret of Pure Gold, stood in the center of the group. She looked even younger than Bonney, with a face strikingly similar to Lupin III and a head full of blonde hair. It made one wonder if Lupin had somehow snuck off with a legendary beauty once upon a time.

Seeing everyone's eyes focused on her, the two-hundred-year-old Olga wasn't nervous at all. Instead, she gave a sly, thievish grin and said to Ren, "I know you! I heard you beat a Marine Admiral once?"

Ren nodded.

"So, you're pretty strong then?"

"Very strong," Ren nodded again.

Olga nodded in satisfaction. "Since you want Pure Gold, you have to meet my conditions. Otherwise, you'll never see it in your lifetime!"

Looking at the confident little girl, Ren didn't burst her bubble; he actually found her quite amusing. He decided not to use "forceful" methods and said with interest, "So, what are your demands? Want me to kill an Admiral? Though right now there's only Kizaru left; if I kill him, the Navy will lose its collective mind."

Olga waved her hands frantically. "It's not something dangerous like killing an Admiral! It's something else! Something else!"

Taking a breath, Olga said, "I heard you have a famous doctor here. I... well, my body has a tiny problem. If you can fix this little issue, I'll tell you where the Pure Gold is."

"Deal!" Ren gestured to Law, who instantly understood the Captain's meaning.

"Room!"

The domain expanded, enveloping Olga in a blue sphere. In an instant, her physical condition was clear to Law. He made a difficult face and was just about to speak when Chopper, the little raccoon-dog, suddenly jumped out. He rushed to Olga's side with a look of extreme worry.

"Little Olga! Are you feeling unwell? Let me diagnose you!"

The next moment, however, the "raccoon" was scooped up by Nami, who buried his face into her cleavage to muffle him. She looked at Ren with an apologetic smile. "Sorry, sorry! Our little reindeer had too much to drink and started talking nonsense. Heh... heh."

Over the past year, Nami had learned Ren's temperament well. He might act brainless and loud like Luffy most of the time, but when it came to business, Ren was a ruthless man of his word. Anyone standing in his way would be "sent off"—physically.

Chopper was simple-minded and was still struggling in Nami's arms, insisting on treating the patient. Seeing this, Robin chuckled behind her hand. Ignoring the commotion, she looked at Law with feigned shock. "Is it a very serious illness? Is there any hope? You have the Op-Op Fruit; no one in the world can surpass your medical skills. If even you can't do anything..."

Robin trailed off, acting heart-broken and teary-eyed. Hearing this, Olga's smug expression vanished. She looked at Law frantically, her large, sparkling eyes full of desperate hope and nerves.

Just as Law was about to break the silence, Chopper transformed into his Heavy Point, gently set Nami aside, and pulled out his medical kit with a serious face, ready to diagnose her on the spot. Nami looked despairing; she honestly feared Chopper might get punched into next week for ruining the scam.

But surprisingly, before Chopper could start, Olga rushed to Law. "Are you really the legendary Op-Op Fruit user?"

Looking into those shimmering, innocent eyes, Law felt a momentary pang of conscience. But remembering her "condition," the guilt vanished. It was a simple ailment—a single injection would fix it. Aside from the guilt of tricking a child, nothing could go wrong.

Wait, I'm a pirate, he thought. Tricking children is practically in the job description.

He looked at Olga's pure eyes again, his mouth twitching involuntarily. He sent a mental SOS to Ren. Help!

Ren beckoned Olga over and laughed. "Alright, enough with the dramatics. As long as you lead me to the Pure Gold, Law will definitely cure your 'illness'!"

"It's a deal!"

Slap!

The two high-fived to seal the vow. Olga smiled and immediately reached for the ring on her finger. But Ren stopped her mid-motion. He didn't want this tiny island to be swallowed by the giant Bonborifish yet.

Olga froze, then realized Ren had seen through her entire plan from the start. "That... uh..."

"Let's head out to sea first," Ren smiled warmly.

Looking at his smile, Olga felt her heart skip a beat and her face flush. Wait, wait, wait! I'm over two hundred years old! How can I be interested in a kid like this?!

She shook her head violently to clear the pink thoughts, restored her thievish grin, and shouted, "Let's go! To the sea!"

The crew boarded the ship and headed out into the open water. Under everyone's excited gaze, Olga took off her ring. A brilliant golden light flashed before their eyes.

"Is that the Pure Gold?" Hina was ecstatic. The treasure they had sought for so long was right there!

Olga didn't deny it. She nodded with a grin. "That's right. This is Pure Gold."

With that, Olga tossed the ring straight into the ocean.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

"WHY WOULD YOU THROW IT AWAY?! YOU BRAT!"

Nami looked like she was about to have a heart attack. She wanted to rush over and spank Olga's behind with the hands she usually used to count money.

But before Nami could explode, the sea surface beneath them suddenly began to rise.

"What's happening now?!"

"Probably just more weird weather. I'm used to it," Usopp said, sipping red tea with total composure.

Seeing Usopp so calm, the others started to relax. If even Usopp wasn't scared, what was there to worry about?

The next second, however, everyone went silent.

A giant Sea King, several times larger than an island, burst from the waves with its mouth wide open. It swallowed the ships whole, effectively "turning out the lights" for everyone!

"AAAGH!! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!!!"

The terrified screams of the crew echoed through the dark abyss of the monster's gullet.

They've been swallowed by the Bonbori! Should Ren lead the charge through the monster's stomach to find the legendary Alchemi, or should he focus on protecting the crew from the digestive juices of the deep-sea giant?
