Lillian turned back and walked towards the river.
What do we do? The enthusiastic one faced the Banshee.
There's nothing we can do but let you die. You will fail your mission as the third and last Savior and I will fail your family. The Banshee said.
You may be ready to die but I'm not. If these voices are tormenting my body then we need a louder voice that can silence them. The enthusiastic one said and the Banshee looked at her with a questioned look.
What are you waiting for? Scream! The enthusiastic one exclaimed and the Banshee screamed. The screeching sound was deafening, Lillian who was halfway the river looked back, she covered her ear, the enthusiastic one covered her ear too.
In reality, it was already morning. The room was filled with a mourning atmosphere.
Gandalf exhaled. When is she going to be buried? He spoke with grief heavy in his voice.
Are you crazy? Miles stood up angrily. You guys brought her to her death. You killed her and yet you speak of her burial? He shouted, his voice still teary and eyes still puffy. Hudson walked towards him and placed his right hand on one of Miles shoulders.
He is right. Lillian don't like it when people get too slow with anything. For her, let us bury her peacefully. Hudson said trying to hold back his own tears.
But... Miles burst into tears when suddenly a loud screeching sound came from an unknown source.
Everyone covered their ears in pain. Lillian's ear started bleeding then she opened her eyes and screamed.
She is alive!!! Miles didn't care about the sound. He ran over and hugged her tight. Lillian stopped screaming and the Banshee's scream stopped.
Everyone looked at Lillian in shock.
It's not possible. No one has ever came back from that place. Herakim said as he came closer.
Miles, you're choking me. Lillian complained with a smile.
Oh, I'm so sorry. Miles released her from his hug in excitement.
How did you freaking come back to life? Shawn said.
Let's say I didn't feel like dying. Lillian said and cleaned her ears with her hands. Lillian stood up and walked towards the bathroom as if she didn't just come back from the dead.
What day is it? Lillian asked without looking at anyone but was focused on the door.
It's the fourth day, Gandalf answered.
Lillian entered the bathroom and moments later she came out.
How come you guys couldn't bring me back to life? Lillian asked.
Your amulet was broken so the voices took over. Herakim replied.
Who or what broke it? Lillian asked and sat on a couch.
Hazel broke it risking her life because she probably knew that was the only way to bring you back. Gandalf replied.
Then the news must have reached the vampires that I am dead. Announce to everyone who cares that I am dead. The maids should never leave this mansion until I say so. Don't make it obvious that I am alive. Lillian said and rested her back on the couch.
Why? Shawn asked.
Nothing big. I just want them to be speechless when they see me again. Lillian replied with an evil smirk. So tell me, where is Hazel?
Her personal assistant came to fetch her last night. Whether she's dead or not, we do not know but the spy she planted here was arrested.
Good of you guys. Hazel is probably not dead. If she's not, I will be attending her company's anniversary tomorrow. We all know that anything she celebrates are always loud and that will be where I will shock her and the other vampires she invites. Lillian said and faced Shawn.
Where is Blaine and the others?
They're probably at the castle. Shawn replied.
Call them, tell them I'm alive but they should make sure they're secretive. Lillian said, Shawn nodded but everyone still looked amazed.
Are you sure you're perfectly fine? Hudson asked.
Of course, I am. She stood up and smiled briefly.
At Hazel's room in her house, she laid wearingly on the bed. Her face was pale, her veins could be seen. Black veins appeared on her face, she was very thin.
Mr Paul and Mirabel sat beside her worriedly.
Mom, you're scaring me. How did you become like this overnight? You were fine yesterday, weren't you? Mirabel exclaimed but Hazel wasn't replying.
You know what? This won't do. Mirabel stood up abruptly. Let's take her to the hospital. Mirabel said to Mr Paul and was about to leave the room when he held her hand.
This is beyond medical knowledge. She survived it, just give her twenty- four hours, she will be like before. Mr Paul said and Mirabel frowned.
What do you mean by beyond medical knowledge? Mirabel asked angrily. What if she dies, what if she leaves me alone? She asked trying to fight back her tears.
I won't. Hazel replied with a coarse voice. No medicine can heal me, I just need to focus on my healing. I promise I'll get well soon.
Your healing? Are you guys keeping something from me again? Mirabel said angrily.
Of course not, why would your mother keep anything from you? Paul asked trying to pretend.
It always seems like you guys are keeping a lot of things from me. You're guys are annoying, I hate the fact you hide things from me! Mirabel shouted at them as tears ran down her cheeks and stormed out of Hazel's room.
Hazel looked worried, her eyebrows pulled together in the middle.
She's gonna be fine, focus on getting better. Remember, the company's 400 years anniversary is tomorrow. I have sent out invitations to people from all over the world and I made sure Mirabel's novel will be released on that day so relax. Mr Paul said and left the room.
The werewolves came wearing black clothes as if they were mourning so as to prevent suspicion. They faked tears and sadness in case someone was watching them. When they entered, they quickly rushed upstairs grinning from ear to ear.
Lillian stood there with a huge smile as they all hugged her except Blaine.
Stop! Lillian shouted and everyone of them looked shocked. Where is Blaine?
Oh, Blaine. He said he isn't going to come because he feels guilty or something like that. Tyler replied.
What?! Lillian exclaimed angrily and everyone stepped back. Is he crazy?! Tell him to get here this instant! Lillian shouted at the top of her lungs.
Why are you angry all of a sudden? Miles asked.
He should be here to see me alive, why would he refuse to see the person who saved him because he feels guilty? Lillian replied. I mean, does he think I went to the spirit realm to get him even though I knew it would be hard to get back alive. I didn't even know I could die if I go to that place. If I had known, I would have definitely not sacrificed myself to save him. Lillian pouted as she paced.
Miles walked up to her. You see, he's an ungrateful being not worth saving.
Exactly. Lillian agreed then suddenly her eyeballs turned white. Everyone stared in shock. She stood still then she looked around. She moved her right hand and everything on right including some of the werewolves and Miles went flying into the wall and the bed. Then her eyes went back to normal and she gasped.
What did I just do? She asked herself while the ones that were hurt groaned in pain. The ones that weren't affected- likes of Hudson, Gandalf, Herakim, Herakim Healer, Tony and Shawn.
You didn't come back from that place empty handed. You were given a super power, Herakim looked amazed.
