Chapter 59 - CURSED TO LOVE A WICTH

CHAPTER FIFTY-NINE

TANYA'S POV

After Jerry revealed Raymond's plans, my heart became heavy.

War.

The word echoed endlessly inside my mind.

I knew my godmother.

Once she made a decision, nobody could easily change it.

And this time, Daniel and I were the reason she was preparing for battle.

I couldn't allow that.

Not when innocent people would suffer.

Not when Daniel was trapped between two worlds.

The moment Daniel fell asleep, I quietly used my powers and escaped the dungeon.

The magical chains broke apart effortlessly.

Within seconds, I disappeared into the darkness.

I appeared outside the kingdom walls.

What I saw made my heart sink.

Thousands of witches surrounded the kingdom invisibly.

The Lion Pack.

The Snake Pack.

The Wolf Pack.

All waiting for a single command.

At the center stood my godmother.

The Queen.

She looked calm.

But I knew the storm hiding behind her eyes.

She had already made up her mind.

"Tanya," she said before I could speak.

I froze.

"You knew I would come?"

She nodded.

"I know you too well."

I rushed toward her.

"Godmother, stop this."

Her expression hardened.

"The war has already begun."

My heart dropped.

"Please..."

I grabbed her hand.

"There is still time."

The Queen slowly shook her head.

"No."

Suddenly, a witch arrived in a hurry.

Her face was pale.

"Your Majesty!"

The Queen turned.

"What happened?"

"The patients Prince Raymond treated at Adrian Royal Hospital are dying."

My blood ran cold.

I already knew what that meant.

The trap had been activated.

Meanwhile, inside the kingdom, panic spread everywhere.

People screamed.

Families cried.

The hospital was overwhelmed.

King Adrian received the terrible news immediately.

And just as Raymond predicted—

The blame fell on me.

"Tanya!" the King shouted furiously.

"She used witchcraft!"

My heart broke.

Even after everything...

He still believed the worst about me.

The King immediately ordered his guards.

"Arrest her!"

"Take her to the royal execution grounds!"

Raymond stepped forward.

His expression was full of concern.

Or at least it appeared that way.

"Your Majesty," he said.

"I will go to the hospital and save as many people as I can."

The King nodded gratefully.

"Please hurry."

I narrowed my eyes.

Something felt wrong.

Very wrong.

Then I turned toward Tammary.

"Tammary."

"Yes, Princess?"

"Follow Raymond."

Her eyes widened.

"You think he is behind this?"

"I know he is."

Tammary nodded immediately.

Then vanished.

I returned to the dungeon before anyone noticed I had left.

Moments later, the guards arrived.

They found me exactly where I was supposed to be.

None of them suspected a thing.

Soon, Daniel and I were dragged outside.

My beloved struggled fiercely.

"Leave her alone!"

The guards rushed him.

But there were too many.

King Adrian looked away.

"Tie him up."

I saw pain flash across Daniel's face.

Not because of the ropes.

Because the order came from his father.

The entire kingdom gathered around the execution grounds.

People stared at me with hatred.

Fear.

Disgust.

They truly believed I was evil.

The same people I once saved.

The same people I once protected.

One guard pointed toward the wooden stool.

"Climb."

I said nothing.

I simply obeyed.

The rope was lowered around my neck.

Daniel struggled wildly.

"TANYA!"

Tears filled his eyes.

I smiled softly.

Trying to comfort him.

Even now.

Then suddenly—

BOOM!

A powerful explosion shook the entire area.

The massive execution tree shattered into pieces.

Everyone screamed.

The sky darkened instantly.

A terrifying magical pressure covered the kingdom.

My godmother had arrived.

She stood in the air like an ancient goddess.

The witches appeared behind her.

Thousands of them.

The crowd froze in terror.

The Queen raised her hand.

A cloud of silver powder exploded across the area.

One by one, the humans collapsed unconscious.

Only a few remained awake.

King Adrian.

Daniel.

The witches.

And myself.

The Queen lifted her staff.

Then began chanting strange ancient words.

The air trembled.

A giant Sacred Mirror appeared before everyone.

"Look carefully, King Adrian."

The mirror flickered.

Then a vision appeared.

Inside the vision—

Raymond sat comfortably beside the human witch doctor.

The same witch doctor who once demanded Daniel sacrifice his manhood.

Wine filled their cups.

The two men laughed.

Raymond raised his glass.

"A toast."

"To our success."

The witch doctor grinned.

"Soon humans and witches will destroy each other."

Raymond smiled coldly.

"And when they do..."

"I will rule both kingdoms."

King Adrian's face turned pale.

The vision continued.

Raymond openly admitted everything.

The deadly sickness.

The lies.

The hospital patients.

The hatred against Tanya.

Everything.

He even admitted why he wanted me dead.

"Tanya is the greatest threat to my plans."

"As long as she lives, I cannot control the covenant."

The vision ended.

Silence followed.

King Adrian collapsed to his knees.

Tears filled his eyes.

For the first time...

He finally saw the truth.

"I was wrong."

His voice broke.

He looked toward me.

Then Daniel.

Then the Queen.

"I am sorry."

The King lowered his head.

A king.

Apologizing before everyone.

"I allowed myself to become blind."

Daniel's expression softened.

Even I felt pity for him.

Raymond had manipulated all of us.

A plan was quickly formed.

Nobody would reveal the truth.

Not yet.

We would let Raymond expose himself completely.

Hours later, Raymond returned.

He approached the execution grounds confidently.

The destroyed tree lay on the ground.

Blood covered the area.

King Adrian lay nearby pretending to be unconscious.

Everything appeared exactly as planned.

Raymond smiled.

Then laughed.

Loudly.

Cruelly.

"You foolish old man."

He kicked dirt toward the King.

"I used you perfectly."

King Adrian's hands clenched.

But he remained still.

Raymond continued.

"You killed my enemies for me."

He drew a blade slowly.

"Now I only need to remove you."

He raised the weapon.

Ready to strike.

ROOOAAARRRR!!

A deafening lion's roar exploded across the kingdom.

Everyone froze.

Raymond's eyes widened.

Slowly—

He turned around.

And saw me.

My eyes glowed gold.

My claws had emerged.

The Lion Princess.

The most feared witch of the covenant.

Raymond stepped backward.

"T-Tanya..."

I smiled coldly.

For the first time—

There was no mercy.

No hesitation.

No forgiveness.

"You should have run."

Before Raymond could react—

I moved.

Like lightning.

My claws pierced straight through his chest.

Raymond gasped.

His eyes widened in disbelief.

Then his body collapsed.

Silence followed.

Even Daniel looked shocked.

The war.

The lies.

The suffering.

Everything ended in a single moment.

Raymond's body was taken back to the covenant.

There, before all the witches and elders, his crimes were declared.

As punishment for betraying both witches and humans...

His body was burned.

His ashes scattered into the wind.

And with Raymond's death—

The darkness that had haunted our lives finally came to an end.
