Chapter 47 - CURSED TO LOVE A WITCH

CHAPTER FORTY SEVEN

DANIEL'S POV

Everything around me felt unreal.

The sacred mirror had already revealed the truth.

The Queen of Witches…

The woman standing beside me…

Was my biological mother.

Even now, my mind struggled to accept it.

For years, I believed Queen Eleanor was my true mother.

And honestly—

Nothing could ever erase the love she gave me.

Even after her death, I continued visiting her grave whenever my heart became heavy. I spoke to her about everything that troubled me.

My fears.

My loneliness.

Even Tanya.

And somehow…

After every visit, I always felt peace.

Could there truly be such incredible love for a foster child?

The thought alone made my chest ache.

I closed my eyes briefly, remembering Queen Eleanor's smile.

Then suddenly—

"Tanya."

The Queen's voice snapped me back to reality.

Immediately my eyes opened.

The Queen looked at me seriously.

"There will be time later to understand the truth," she said firmly. "But right now, only one thing matters."

Her expression darkened.

"We must save Tanya and your unborn child."

The moment she mentioned my child, my heart clenched painfully.

My family.

They were about to die while I stood there drowning in shock.

"No," I whispered coldly.

"I won't let anyone touch them."

A strange darkness moved inside me instantly.

The Queen noticed it immediately.

Without wasting another second, she raised her staff and began chanting ancient words.

The chamber filled with powerful energy.

The candles exploded one by one.

Dark wind circled around my body violently as glowing symbols appeared beneath my feet.

I gritted my teeth as heat rushed through my veins.

It felt like fire.

Like something ancient was awakening inside me.

The Queen stepped closer and touched my forehead gently.

"I now fortify you with the blood of your ancestors," she whispered.

"Awaken… heir of the Snake Pack."

BOOM!

Power exploded through my body violently.

My breathing became heavier.

Every wound I received in the jungle disappeared instantly.

My senses sharpened.

My strength multiplied.

Even the air around me felt different.

For the first time in my life—

I no longer felt human.

Then suddenly—

A massive shadow moved behind me.

SSSSSSSSSS!

I turned sharply.

A gigantic python appeared from the darkness behind the Queen.

Its golden eyes glowed like flames as its enormous body coiled around the sacred chamber.

The creature slowly lowered its head before me.

The Queen bowed respectfully.

"Welcome home…"

Her voice softened emotionally.

"…King of Pythons."

My entire body froze.

King?

None of this made sense.

But there was no time to question anything.

Not while Tanya was still in danger.

"Take me to her," I said immediately.

The Queen nodded.

Dark wind exploded around us again.

WHOOSH!

The world vanished instantly.

---

When my eyes opened again—

We had arrived at the covenant.

But the moment I saw Tanya—

My heart shattered.

She was tied tightly on top of a massive stone altar like a criminal waiting for execution.

Her white dress flowed beneath the wind while chains wrapped around her wrists.

Her eyes were closed peacefully.

As if she had already accepted death.

Pain exploded inside my chest violently.

"Tanya…"

The moment her name left my lips—

Something inside me snapped.

A terrifying force burst from my body instantly.

BOOM!

Dark energy spread across the ritual ground.

The witches gasped in fear.

Even the sacred fire trembled violently.

Tanya's eyes opened immediately.

The moment she saw me—

Tears filled her eyes.

"Daniel…" she whispered weakly.

Prince Raymond stepped forward slowly, his eyes cold.

"So the human finally arrived," he mocked.

His lips curved darkly.

"You came just in time to watch her die."

The moment he finished speaking—

I turned my gaze toward him.

And suddenly—

My vision changed completely.

For a brief moment, I saw Raymond surrounded by darkness and demons crawling around his shadow.

Killing intent exploded inside me instantly.

The ground beneath my feet cracked.

Everyone stepped back in fear.

Then suddenly—

SSSSSSSSSS!

A deafening hiss echoed across the covenant.

The giant python appeared behind me.

Its enormous body towered above everyone like a sacred beast from ancient times.

Then slowly—

The python lowered its head before me once again.

The entire ritual ground fell silent.

Shock filled every face.

Even Tanya stared at me with trembling eyes.

Prince Raymond's expression darkened instantly.

The Queen stepped forward proudly.

"Release Tanya immediately," she commanded coldly.

But Raymond laughed.

"You expect us to bow before a human?" he sneered.

"The covenant will never accept this abomination!"

Other witches immediately began shouting in agreement.

"She must die!"

"The child must die!"

"The covenant comes first!"

The python suddenly turned toward Raymond.

Its golden eyes glowed murderously.

SSSSSSSSSS!

The terrifying hiss shook the entire ritual ground.

Raymond's expression hardened.

Then suddenly—

A massive black wolf appeared beside him.

The King of Wolves.

Its sharp fangs glistened beneath the dark sky as it growled fiercely at the python.

The atmosphere instantly became deadly.

Then—

BOOM!

Both creatures attacked simultaneously.

The python moved with terrifying speed, crashing against the wolf violently.

The wolf roared and slashed at the serpent with deadly claws.

The entire covenant shook from the battle.

Trees collapsed.

Dark powers exploded everywhere.

The witches screamed and ran backward in fear.

But suddenly—

The python wrapped itself tightly around the wolf's body.

CRACK!

The wolf let out a painful roar before being thrown violently across the ritual ground.

It crashed into the sacred stones half dead.

Silence followed instantly.

No one moved.

No one breathed.

Fear filled every eye as they looked at me.

Then suddenly—

Burning pain spread across my shoulder.

I frowned slightly and pulled my torn shirt aside.

Gasps echoed around the covenant immediately.

A glowing python birthmark had appeared on my shoulder.

The Queen stepped forward slowly.

Her voice echoed proudly across the ritual ground.

"The ancestors of the Snake Pack have recognized him."

Everyone stared at me in disbelief.

The Queen raised her staff again.

"And today…"

Her voice became colder.

"You will all learn the truth."

She pointed directly at me.

"Daniel is not human."

Shock exploded everywhere.

"He is my biological son."

The entire covenant froze completely.

Tanya's eyes widened with disbelief.

Prince Raymond stepped backward slowly.

"No… impossible…"

The Queen continued firmly.

"His father was Prince Alouis of the Snake Pack."

"He carries the blood of witches and serpents within him."

"And the ancestors themselves have accepted him."

The witches fell silent instantly.

No one dared argue anymore.

Slowly—

Tanya's chains were removed.

The moment she became free, she ran toward me immediately.

I caught her tightly in my arms.

For several seconds—

Neither of us spoke.

We simply held each other as if afraid fate would separate us again.

I buried my face into her hair while she cried against my chest.

"I thought I lost you," she whispered painfully.

"Never," I answered softly.

Then slowly—

I lifted her face gently.

And kissed her.

The covenant watched silently as our lips met beneath the sacred baobab tree.

For the first time—

I felt whole.

When the kiss ended, I rested my forehead against hers and smiled weakly.

"You know…" I whispered softly.

"I used to think I was cursed to love a witch."

I touched the glowing python mark on my shoulder.

Then looked directly into her beautiful eyes.

"Not knowing…"

A small smile appeared on my lips.

"…I was born with the blood of witches."
