My butt felt cold as I had been sitting on this cold metal bed with a thin sheet that the officers dared to call bedding.
It had been a month since I was stuck in this place, and there was no news from my goddamn mother except the initial one where she came to check on me.
I wanted to know about Miles instead, since he was the bastard who snitched on me to those officers. But we were separated, and I hadn't had any contact with him ever since we got arrested.
The warden told me that my first trial would be in about two days, and I felt like I was sitting on a bed of thorns. I couldn't stay still, and I continued to curse my mother a hundred times, because surely, she wouldn't abandon her own daughter, right?
After all, she was my beloved mother, the one who'd always protect me and helped me to bully Claudia for twelve years straight until she ran away from home.
But where was she? How come she hadn't returned to me with a good lawyer?
