Qin Xuanjin, the boy who was previously scolded in the class. Staring at his bed gloomily with fear in his eyes.
Since, the past three months he's having nightmare regularly. He can't sleep without having those nightmare.
Now, he's afraid of even sleeping. Lack of sleep from night result into him falling sleep in his class and being scolded by his master.
He gritted his teeth and lay down on the bed. As soon as he fall asleep, he found himself standing in the darkness.
When he first had this nightmare he was scared but now he had become familiar with this dream.
He raise his childish face and angrily to the empty darkness "can you stop bothering me every night"
A unknown voice replied "I will, if you do something for me. Those nightmare will stop" the boy hesitated.
The very first time he heard the voice he was so scared that he almost wet his pants. But he know more then well something like this darkness is evil.
If he agreed to do things for the darkness. Who knows what will happened to him. So, he refuse the first time.
But that was a mistake very bad mistake...
The darkness trap him inside nightmares every night. Every night the unknown voice will ask him the same question.
Every night the boy refuse him and the nightmares continue. He hold on for three whole months.
But he can't hold on anymore. He tried to resist but is not strong enough to do that. So, he hesitantly accept this time.
Qin Xuanjin, belong to the Heavenly Sword Sect, being nine year old. He's in peak of qi gathering stage.
His talent can be consider average, he also don't have any bloodline. He can only push himself to learn the art of swords.
Next day, he woke up refresh. After accepting the offer last night, all of those nightmare disappear.
He finally had a good night sleep, he spend his whole day without any problem. But in the evening he heard the darkness speaking inside his mind.
"It's time for you to complete the task" the boy body stiffen, but he still nodded his head after all he already had made the deal.
If he try to back out from the deal at this point, there's chance that the unknown creature will kill him.
So, he obediently listen to him. As he follow the voice instruction and move around the sect without being catch.
First, he's familiar with the sect layout.
Second, the voice seem to be hiding Qin Xuanjin presence from the guards hiding in shadows.
Third, he's also very cautious. Not daring to even make smallest noise.
Soon, he reach the sect master courtyard. Qin Xuanjin, soul almost leaved his body when he realised where he's standing right now.
With trembling voice he ask very cautiously "do, I have to go inside" the boy prayed, he don't have to do that right right.
The voice "yes, you are going inside" Qin Xuanjin want to cry, he start regretting his decision now.
If he had known he had to offend the sect master in all of the sect. He could had just leave the sect to escape from the nightmare.
If by any chance the sect master get to know that he had enter his courtyard. He don't know how he will die.
The voice "don't worry he's not here today, you just need take a bracelet from his treasure collection"
Qin Xuanjin "....that's not very helpful" but he also know turning back is not an option right now for him.
So, he mutter some courage and step forward only for the voice to speak in alarm.
The voice "wait, there formation around this courtyard" Qin Xuanjin swear he just had an out of the body experience.
Qin Xuanjin "this.... is courtyard of sect master. Of course, their is a formation to protect it from spy and all" he hiss at the voice irritatedly.
Maybe, he had experienced lot of simulation today to be able to talk back. But the voice didn't mind it, it rather seem to be anxious to get the bracelet.
The voice "follow my instructions, if you move without my words remember that you will die" Qin Xuanjin grumble unhappily.
Qin Xuanjin, carefully follow the voice steeping inside the formation. Any wrong step and he will turn into ashes.
It took them both five hour to reach inside the courtyard by the crossing the formation. Once, inside Qin Xuanjin didn't bother looking around.
He anxiously ask the location of the bracelet. The moment he get his hand on the bracelet, the moment he's out.
Qin Xuanjin although anxious micer extremely cautiously trying to avoid all type of mechanism laying across the room.
After struggling for an hour he finally mange to find the secret door inside the room. As he step down the stairs, darkness become the only thing he could see.
Luckily, being trap in nightmares the only thing he's extremely familiar with is actually darkness. So, he's not that scared.
With the voice directing the directionf he could move around without bumping into anything around.
The voice "stop, use your fire to lit the torch" he silently lit up fireball and throw it at the torch, the whole underground room lit up.
Qin Xuanjin breath hiss when he saw the whole room filled with rows of self, each shelf holding rare and priceless treasure.
His whole body shivering in excitement as he started around, looking here and there temporarily forgetting about his main purpose of actually coming here.
The voice " all these things are useless to you, grab the seventh box on the left wall, fifth shelf." He immediately find the box.
The voice "this is your reward. Now, look up" the boy raise his head and almost drop on his knees.
In the middle of the room, a black ball was hovering in the air. He could see a small bracelet trapped inside the seal.
The voice "that's the thing you need to grab" the boy gulp in nervousness.
