"Hiss—"
Lu Lin sucked in a sharp breath, his heart accelerating uncontrollably.
Anyone would find it difficult not to react when a cold, iceberg-like beauty made such a tempting request.
He took a deep breath to steady himself before asking, "Do you know what Ying and I were doing yesterday?"
"No."
"You don't know, and you still want to experience it?"
"I could tell she was enjoying it. So I'm curious." Shenhe remained calm and indifferent, completely unaware of how bold the topic she was discussing actually was.
Curiosity can kill a cat, you know?
"Well… what I did with her yesterday was rather private. It's not really suitable for us right now…" Lu Lin had to exert tremendous effort to suppress his inner agitation and speak words of refusal.
He still had some conscience. He didn't want to take advantage of a girl who understood nothing—at the very least, she should have some basic understanding of relationships before going further.
But Shenhe's next sentence shattered the last of his restraint.
"Aren't we going to spend our lives together? What would be unsuitable then?" The tall, breathtaking girl stared straight at him, her expression more serious and resolute than ever.
There was no defense against such a straightforward strike from an iceberg beauty.
She wasn't completely ignorant about relationships between men and women. After all, her father had been deeply devoted to her mother.
When she was young, she might not have understood it, but as she grew older, she came to grasp what kind of bond her parents had shared.
She understood that a promise to spend a lifetime together was not something to give lightly.
Shenhe was intelligent, not foolish. If she didn't hold genuine affection for Lu Lin, how could she so easily allow herself to be "persuaded" into such a vow?
Even the red rope that bound her soul couldn't restrain this emotion. Though not intense, it was enough for her to recognize her heart.
As for including her master in their shared future—that was simply because she couldn't bear to part from her. Her thoughts hadn't gone that far ahead.
This single, direct statement completely destroyed Lu Lin's remaining rationality.
Looking into her silver-gray eyes, he asked seriously, "Have you truly decided?"
"Mm." The answer was light—but unwavering.
"Then come with me."
He tightened his hold on her hand and activated the Serenitea Pot mark.
Suddenly arriving in an unfamiliar world, Shenhe remained calm. She quietly listened as Lu Lin explained the origins of the Serenitea Pot and how it differed from the adepti realms she knew.
Standing side by side atop a mountain peak, they looked out over the floating Jade Chamber in the distance.
"I usually live there. Though sometimes elsewhere. That pavilion belongs to Ganyu. That ghostly house is Hu Tao's…"
Though stirred within, Lu Lin forced himself to remain composed. In introducing the residences of others, he was also making clear to Shenhe which girls were already part of his life.
She had spoken to him with complete candor; he could not bear to hide or deceive her. He laid everything before her honestly.
Shenhe, who had experienced betrayal from loved ones in childhood, needed sincerity most of all.
She felt his sincerity.
"What do you think of this place? Should I prepare a residence for you too?"
"There are quite a lot of people." Her calm tone made his heart skip—perhaps she did mind after all.
But what followed became a scene he would never forget.
The iceberg beauty's lips curved into a breathtaking smile—like ice melting and spring returning to the earth. "If so many of us spend our lives together, our future will surely be lively, won't it?"
That smile was the most beautiful sight in the world.
Lu Lin wrapped an arm around her slender waist. "It will be lively. Do you like lively?"
"I have lived with the solitude of Jueyun Karst for over a decade. I would like a change—to experience a lively life." The radiant smile faded like a fleeting blossom, and Shenhe returned to her distant composure. But Lu Lin knew she had already changed profoundly.
"So… may I experience what you did with Sister Ying yesterday now?" After all the circling, the topic returned.
It was clear—when curiosity seized this cool-faced, tall girl, she was even more persistent than most.
Lu Lin did not answer with words. He answered with action.
Shenhe's figure was exquisite beyond compare. Holding her in his arms, his heart had long been aflame. Now he no longer needed to restrain himself.
On the mountain peak, he had arranged a stone table and stools with an immortal air about them. He led her there, sat down, and guided her onto his lap.
Her full hips pressed snugly against his legs. Even through layers of fabric, he could feel their remarkable softness and elasticity.
She wore a black fitted qipao today, perfectly accentuating her graceful curves. The sensual figure contrasted sharply with her aloof, fairy-like temperament.
The slit of the qipao was fastened with buttons—suggestive yet modest, revealing only a section of her pale calf.
His hand traced upward along her leg, undoing the buttons one by one. Smooth, snow-white skin was gradually revealed, tender and luminous.
He gently caressed her thigh, sending subtle tremors through her.
It was Shenhe's first time experiencing such sensations. His touch seemed to carry a strange warmth, and with each motion, an unfamiliar sense stirred within her.
Higher still, beneath the fabric, she felt exposed in ways she had never known.
"Lu Lin…" she let out a soft murmur, her voice trembling faintly.
