Chapter 82 - Chapter Eighty-Two – The First Arrival

The memory vault shattered.

Dominic felt reality snap around him.

The white expanse vanished.

The First Warden disappeared.

The ancient visions dissolved into fragments of silver light.

Then—

He was back.

The prison.

The battlefield.

The fractured sky.

The abyss.

And chaos.

BOOM!

The entire realm shook so violently that floating ruins crashed from the sky.

Massive sections of the prison fractured simultaneously.

The synchronization between Dominic and Leila surged instinctively as they fought to stabilize the collapsing balance around them.

Marcus looked ready to pass out.

"…You two were gone for like ten seconds."

A pause.

"…And somehow everything got worse."

Dominic immediately looked upward.

The fractures above the realm had widened.

Not slightly.

Not gradually.

Violently.

The darkness beyond reality had split open.

And something was emerging.

Not the corrupted anchors.

Not the stranger.

Not the colossal entities they had glimpsed before.

Something else.

Something smaller.

And that terrified Dominic immediately.

Because predators rarely sent their strongest hunters first.

The synchronization screamed.

Warning.

Warning.

Warning.

Every layer of the prison activated simultaneously.

Silver chains erupted across the sky.

Ancient seals flared into existence.

Reality itself attempted to force the fracture closed.

It failed.

A hand emerged.

Human.

Perfectly human.

The entire realm froze.

The abyss below convulsed violently.

The countless eyes widened in pure terror.

The claw gripping the prison walls released its hold.

Marcus blinked.

"…It's a hand."

Nobody answered.

Because the reaction made no sense.

The abyss feared it.

The corrupted anchors stepped backward.

The stranger's face had gone pale.

Even the Sovereign looked grim.

Then the figure stepped through.

Silence fell.

It appeared human.

A young woman.

Simple white clothing.

Dark hair.

Bare feet.

No visible weapon.

No visible power.

Nothing.

And yet—

Reality bent around her presence.

Not intentionally.

Naturally.

Like existence itself wasn't fully capable of containing her.

The synchronization exploded with pressure.

Dominic nearly staggered.

Leila grabbed his arm instantly.

"What is that?"

The Sovereign answered.

For the first time—

His voice carried unmistakable dread.

"An Observer."

The woman tilted her head slightly.

As if hearing him.

Then she smiled.

The prison screamed.

Every seal in existence activated simultaneously.

Marcus pointed upward.

"…Okay."

A pause.

"…That smile is somehow the scariest thing we've seen."

Nobody disagreed.

The Observer looked around the realm quietly.

Taking everything in.

The fractured sky.

The prison.

The abyss.

The anchors.

Then her gaze settled on Dominic and Leila.

And she frowned.

Confusion.

The simple human expression sent waves of instability through reality.

The synchronization surged.

The hidden layer awakened further.

The Observer blinked once.

"Interesting."

Her voice was soft.

Almost gentle.

The prison trembled.

The abyss roared.

The Observer glanced downward.

"Oh."

A pause.

"The Door is still here."

The countless eyes beneath the realm shut instantly.

As if hiding.

Dominic felt cold spread through his chest.

The abyss—

The thing capable of destroying worlds—

Was afraid.

Not cautious.

Not threatened.

Afraid.

The Observer looked mildly surprised.

"I thought it would be gone by now."

The stranger stepped forward sharply.

"You weren't supposed to arrive yet."

The Observer turned toward him.

For the first time—

Emotion entered her expression.

Recognition.

"You're still alive?"

The stranger's face darkened.

Marcus looked between them.

"…Why does that sound like an insult?"

The Observer ignored him.

Her gaze returned to Dominic and Leila.

The hidden layer reacted immediately.

Silver-black energy surged around the two anchors.

Ancient symbols appeared across the core.

The prison was responding defensively.

The Observer noticed.

And her eyes widened slightly.

"Oh."

A pause.

Then another.

"Oh."

The synchronization shook violently.

The Observer looked genuinely shocked.

"That's new."

Dominic stepped forward.

"Who are you?"

The Observer studied him.

Then smiled again.

This time not frightening.

Curious.

"My designation no longer translates correctly."

The realm trembled.

"But your creator called us Observers."

Silence.

Leila's eyes narrowed.

"You're part of the Outer Host."

The Observer nodded.

"Yes."

No denial.

No hesitation.

Just certainty.

Marcus immediately hid behind one of the Alpha Killers.

"Good. Great. Fantastic."

The Observer looked mildly puzzled by his reaction.

Then she pointed toward the abyss.

"That one is dangerous."

Everyone froze.

The synchronization pulsed sharply.

Because she sounded sincere.

The Observer tilted her head.

"You think we're the enemy."

A pause.

"That's understandable."

The hidden layer surged again.

The First Warden's authority reacted directly to her presence.

For the first time—

The Observer's smile disappeared.

And she looked at Dominic with genuine seriousness.

Then she said five words that silenced the entire battlefield.

"The First Warden was wrong."

The prison shook.

The abyss roared.

The stranger stared.

The Sovereign's expression hardened.

And suddenly—

The war became far more complicated than anyone had imagined.
