Chapter 104 - Chapter 104: The Shock Brought by Chantless Magic

Kurashi watched the others' magic and then burst into unrestrained laughter. "Hahaha, you're all no good either."

Kurashi mocked them. Even though the magic she had released was weaker than theirs, she still wanted to taunt them.

Her shrill laughter quickly drew everyone's displeasure. A student who tested after her shouted at her, "Kurashi, do you think you're so great? Your strength is obviously this weak—where do you get the confidence to laugh at us?"

"At the very least, I'm a student council member. Do you know that the princess of the Ranoa Kingdom is the president of the student council? That's my capital for mocking you lowly commoners," Kurashi continued aggressively.

"Aren't you a commoner too? Do you really think joining the student council makes you a noble?"

"Tch, the bottom rung is always the bottom rung. They've already promised me—as long as I work hard, I'll become a noble of the Ranoa Kingdom in the future."

A few people traded insults there. For someone like her, ordinary normal people usually couldn't outtalk her.

Soon, most of the students had finished their tests, leaving only the last two special students.

"Stop arguing with her for now. Let's see how strong these special students are. They haven't attended a single class—I refuse to believe they'll be better than us."

First up was Roxy Migurdia from the Migurd race.

Since Roxy hadn't brought her staff today, she prepared to cast without one.

She slowly raised her hand and then shouted delicately, "Ice Lance Blizzard!"

Several ice spears rapidly condensed around her, radiating unparalleled chill. Then, with a focused look in her eyes, Roxy sent the ice spears hurtling toward the target.

Ice Lance Blizzard struck the target with perfect precision.

The target was instantly frozen solid by Ice Lance Blizzard. Immediately after, Roxy used chantless techniques to release advanced spells of other elements as well.

Under the assault of these four spells, the anti-magic target finally could no longer withstand the burden and collapsed.

At that moment, the many students watching from the side all stared at Roxy with expressions of utter disbelief.

After a long pause, someone finally spoke in a trembling voice, "Did she... not chant? And she used advanced magic too?"

"She can actually use magic without chanting? Oh my god, are you crazy or am I crazy? Can magic really be cast without chanting?"

Kurashi, seeing Roxy use chantless magic and advanced spells, also showed rare disbelief in her eyes.

She was the first to voice her doubt. "Impossible! How could magic not require chanting?"

Roxy paid them no attention and simply walked toward Dan Feng on her own.

The magic teacher was also surprised, but as a teacher, he maintained a steadier mindset than the students.

He then shouted loudly, "Quiet! There's nothing impossible about it. Being able to cast without chanting is their skill. If you're capable, go develop that technique yourselves."

After the teacher's words, the students finally quieted down a little—though one person had a flash of jealousy in their eyes: Kurashi.

"How could anyone possibly use chantless magic?" Kurashi glared viciously at Roxy, then began plotting something.

Dan Feng noticed the look Kurashi directed at Roxy and understood that this person seemed to harbor very strong jealousy.

However, Dan Feng believed that as long as they were within the school, no one could harm Roxy—because he was there.

The gazes of the others were much purer; they were filled only with pure shock, without any other thoughts mixed in.

Just as the teacher had said, being able to cast such powerful magic without chanting was enough to prove Roxy's exceptional strength, while they themselves could never develop such a technique.

At that moment, it was Dan Feng's turn to take the test—he was the last student in their class.

His expressionless face once again left a profound impression on most of the students.

After all, almost all the first-years had heard about that day in the student arena.

In that match, Dan Feng had displayed astonishing martial prowess. He effortlessly defeated every challenger who stepped forward, leaving them with no way to fight back. Moreover, the long spear he used seemed to be a rare weapon, opening the eyes of everyone present.

Because of this, the students were filled with curiosity and anticipation about Dan Feng's level of magic.

Deep down, they thought to themselves: although their own martial skills could never compare to Dan Feng's, as long as his magic was somewhat inferior to theirs, they would feel a little better—because then they could at least feel superior to him in some aspect.

"Cloud Chant Governing Water," Dan Feng said calmly.

However, what happened next completely exceeded everyone's expectations.

Dan Feng slowly raised a finger, and immediately, endless streams of water seemed to be drawn by an invisible force, continuously gathering in front of him.

The water grew more and more abundant until it finally coalesced into a vivid, lifelike azure dragon.

"What kind of magic is this!?"

"Oh my god, he didn't chant either—and this spell gives off such terrifying pressure."

The students watching from the sidelines were stunned by the massive water dragon; they couldn't even move.

With a resounding dragon roar, the azure dragon instantly charged toward the newly placed target the teacher had just set up.

In an instant, the target was smashed to pieces by the dragon's body—not even a scrap remained. The ground nearly caved in with a large crater, but fortunately, Dan Feng controlled it at the last moment, and the water instantly dissipated.

After the water dragon vanished, the suffocating pressure that had weighed on the students finally lifted, allowing them to breathe again.

At that moment, Dan Feng suddenly turned his gaze toward where Kurashi stood. His eyes were ice-cold, fixed directly on her, carrying a faint but unmistakable hint of warning.

Being stared at with such a look from Dan Feng, Kurashi felt every hair on her body stand on end, overcome by the sensation of being targeted by a terrifying creature.

She couldn't help but shudder, muttering to herself inwardly, "This Dan Feng—he's clearly not a noble, so why does his gaze feel so terrifying?"

Dan Feng didn't pay much more attention to Kurashi's reaction. He simply turned to the magic teacher with an expressionless face and said, "Teacher, I think there's no need for me to perform the remaining tests, right?" His voice was icy cold, without the slightest emotional fluctuation.

The magic teacher was clearly shocked by Dan Feng's display as well. He quickly let out a couple of dry laughs and said, "Haha, of course. Dan Feng has already proven his profound mastery of magic with just one spell—it's truly impressive! Perhaps in the future, you'll even have a chance to become one of the Seven Great Powers!"

Today's scene not only allowed the students present to witness the wonder of chantless magic firsthand but also let them see Dan Feng's enviable magical talent.

However, while everyone was full of admiration for Dan Feng, some people with extremely strong jealousy could no longer sit still.

Though she had to admit that Dan Feng was indeed very powerful, she believed her own backers were even stronger.

So this person began scheming inwardly, completely disregarding Dan Feng's warning gaze. She still wanted to find an opportunity to give Dan Feng a show of force.

Since fighting and killing were not allowed freely in school, she felt no concerns at all.

Regardless, the magic test still concluded successfully amid the students' shocked gazes.

In the end, the entire class passed the test smoothly, and this semester would soon come to an end.
