"Aunt Regi…!"
They were at each other's throat when Little Roe's cheerful voice echoed through the apartment as he came running inside carrying several shopping bags nearly half his size. His excited expression dimmed as he tilted his head noticing the unfamiliar man standing beside Regina.
His round eyes blinked curiously but before he could ask about the stranger, his gaze landed on Valerie lying motionless on the bed.
His little brows immediately pulled together. "Mommy is sleeping?"
Little Roe scrambled onto the mattress and reached out as if to shake her awake. Getting out of shock, Regina quickly swooped in, lifting him in her arms.
"Let Mommy sleep for a while." She bobbed his nose, "Did you miss your Auntie, Baby Panda?"
The quizzical expression on the baby vanished instantly replaced by giddiness.
"Yeah! Lots!" Little Roe nodded so hard his hair bounced. He shook the shopping bags, "I got you gifts too! Do you wanna see?"
