Alrin returned from the Mecha plant late that evening.
Inside the Veyron Tower, maids and robots were moving cautiously , as if the very walls were vibrating with an anxious energy.
He saw Lyra standing by the window, her gaze fixed on the distant stars, her Fiber Realm fibers shimmering in a restless, disorganized pattern around her.
Alrin stepped forward quietly and wrapped his arms around her from behind, pulling her into a protective embrace.
He rested his chin on her shoulder, but his eyes immediately narrowed at the chaotic flow of her mana.
"Your protective fabrics are unsettled, Lyra." he murmured, his voice soothing. "Something has happened to our little mage."
Lyra sighed, leaning back into his warmth as she recounted the day's events. Void Whale hunger, the emergency call, and the advice from Father. As she unwind all the information to her husband she begin to feel better.
Alrin's expression also become serious as he listened. "The Void Whale consciousness is waking up faster than we anticipated. It needs to be controlled."
"I'll head to a dying star," Alrin decided. "I'll extract some Red Core Liquid from a super heavy star. It's dense enough to sate that hunger and keep Redveil from getting out of control."
Lyra turned in his arms, her eyes wide with worry. "Alrin, that's too dangerous. Extracting star-core fluid at your current level... the pressure could crush your mecha's internal circuits."
Alrin didn't argue, instead he simply let his breath out in a slow, controlled exhale.
Suddenly, the air in the room grew heavy, and new garment begin to appear on his body.
A massive, intricate cloth of pitch-black fabrics erupted from Alrin's body, covering his body and made him look like the dark lord.
Lyra gasped, her hands flying to her mouth in pure amazement.
Lyra become surprised that alrin cultivation has not slowed down as his level increased, but has instead become faster, defying the usual stagnation at higher levels.
She felt a surge of pride, but it was quickly followed by a pang of bittersweet frustration.
Before her pregnancy with Kaelen, she had been neck and neck with Alrin, but the toll of birthing a Veyron heir had left her cultivation lagging behind.
Veyron DNA was inherently aggressive in its growth, and seeing Alrin move ahead made her own stagnant Fiber Realm feel fragile.
Alrin sensed the sudden silence. He didn't just hold her closer, he chose a more dominant path of support.
With a sharp mental command, Alrin did the unthinkable. he severed several parts of his black cover and covered lyra with it.
Lyra cried out in protest, but the black cover were already weaving themselves into her dis organised fabrics.
The Newbie garment Realm covers acted like a guide, forcing her loose fabric to align, connect, and fuse with terrifying efficiency.
"Alrin, stop! You'll damage your own foundation!" she whispered, feeling her cultivation speed triple in seconds.
"It's alright." Alrin grunted, his face slightly pale but his eyes burning with resolve. "Regrowing a severed cover only makes the new cover more compact. As Veyrons, we thrive on the repeated practise."
Lyra knew it wasn't as easy as he made it sound, but she felt the love in the sacrifice. She turned and hugged him tightly, burying her face in his chest.
Alrin wrapped his arms around her, the black cover slowly receding back into his skin. "It's alright, Lyra. We will grow together."
After a moment of peace, Lyra looked up. "If you are at this level... what about your Frigate? Have you finalised the design for your personal destroyer?"
Alrin walked over to a holographic terminal, pulling up a massive, skeletal frame of a black Destroyer. "I've been gathering the materials, but the weapon system... I'm still not satisfied with them."
Lyra's eyes lit up as get the chance to help alrin. She began to modify the blueprints, integrating Alrin's covers into the destroyer.
"The design of your destroyer should be more like a large tank type command centre which can also move on planets and space also it should have four auxiliary smaller cannons which is precisely why I've engineered this 1.09-km long Monolith with massive, heavy-duty caterpillar treads to crush planetary terrain, while streamlining the upper hull matrix to handle atmospheric entry and deep-space vacuum.
The elevated tower serves as the central command hub, coordinating thousands of ground units and orbital assets seamlessly.
To protect this massive superstructure, I've integrated the four auxiliary smaller cannons at strategic intersecting angles along the flanks to provide absolute 360-degree defensive coverage.
The glowing teal lines you see running across the armored plating are the energy conduits for the shields and weapon cooling systems.
" she murmured, drawing a web of armor plating. "It should be covered with your black cover. To make its stealth and defence more strong."
Alrin nodded and said "Your design is really good we should go with this design."
Lyra and alrin after finalising the blueprint ordered the family experts to work on the destroyer. Many garment realm mage engineers of the family grouped together to make this destroyer in the lowest time possible.
In the mean time Alrin repaired his cover and also integrated some of his covers in the destroyer while it was being created.
A month passed and the destroyer was ready to be deployed.
Arin with his new personal troops assigned by UCC to him to control his destroyer began there journey for the red core liquid deep into the Orion Cygnus Arm.
He scoured the stellar maps for a specific energy signature. A red star in its stable mid-life neither a volatile newborn nor a collapsing ancient.
Finally, near the jagged edge of the spiral arm, he found it.
The star burned with a heavy, rhythmic pulse, perfect for stabilizing the Void Whale neurons within his son.
As Alrin destroyer approached the star and begin to focus on extracting the red core liquid. Red warning begin to appear on the ship interface.
"Space Blockage detected. Ship is surrounded." destroyers AI system responded.
A pirate fleet dropped from warp, led by a newbie Garment Realm mage in a customized Destroyer surround the Alrin ship. They did not know that Arin has advanced in realm and already has destroyer under his command.
Pirate seeing the destroyer were a little surprised but seeing the newbie Garment realm mage with them they were not too worried. As they thought that Alrin has just destroyer ship under his command his level should still be Fabric phase.
Led by the Garment Realm pirate. Two Squads of 6 Mecha pilots came out of the ship.
Alrin didn't panic. He ordered his colonel to go out and fight with the mecha units.
Alrin himself come out of the ship and downed his black mecha over himself. Then his frigate which was stationed in the destroyer also came out and began to shift and grow, its hull dividing into modular components that flew toward his Black Mecha.
The ship's engines and thruster blocks attached to his arms and legs, nearly doubling his mecha's scale and physical power.
The reinforced mid-section of the frigate converted into a massive, reactive Shield, while the remaining plating fused into his existing armor.
In the Federation, elite combat units design their frigates specifically as external toolkits to maximize their one to one fighting potential.
As the war started alrin rushed toward pirate garment realm expert to confront him.
He opened the engagement with the Super-Heavy Vacuum Cannon mounted on his mecha.
Brilliant, condensed pulses of black energy tore through the pirates mecha, but due to his cover the mecha was not damaged.
The battle begin to grew desperate. The pirate leader detached his own frigate module, merging it with his mecha to achieve a power output that momentarily surpassed Alrin's.
Steel screamed against steel. Alrin's mecha took heavy damage, its arm plating shredded and sensors failing.
But Alrin relied on the teachings of his Veyron branch. In a final, risky gambit, Alrin overloaded the mecha with more power and tore through the enemy mecha.
The explosion was blinding. It destroyed his own primary weapon and left the pirate leader's sensors scorched and blind.
Under the cover of the light flare, Alrin ignited his damaged thrusters and slipped away into the Void.
Pirates were suppressed without any casuality.
When Alrin finally appear back into the Veyron Tower. His mecha was scorched, and his movements were stiff with internal bruising.
Seeing him in this state, Lyra was struck by a violent flashback to their years in the military.
She began to cry, the tears a release of years of suppressed combat trauma.
Alrin pulled her close, comforting her despite his own pain.
For the next several days, she refused to leave his side, nursing him personally and ignoring all other estate duties.
Kaelen also returned from the academy to see his father injured.
His initial shock turned into a anger toward the pirates.
His father had almost died to fetch him some good metals.
The weight of his family's care touched him more deeply than any academy lesson ever could.
Once Alrin was stable, he handed the vial of glowing Red Core Liquid to his son. Kaelen excepted the bottle with a bow and returned to his room.
Kaelen retreated to his secluded chamber, sitting cross legged.
He drink the liquid. He used his red fabrics to refine the star essence, slowly dripping it into the oily red shadow of Redveil.
The result was immediate.
The Void Whale neurons stabilized, the chaotic hunger settled for some time.
[SYSTEM STABILIZED] Redveil whispered.
Kaelen opened his eyes. He felt taller, his foundation firmer.
The Veyron legacy wasn't just about power; it was about the lengths they would go to protect their own. This is the first time he has seen this first hand.
