Chapter 120 - Chapter 120: Gohan and Videl’s Daily Dose of PDA

The two waved goodbye to Bulma in unison. The Flying Nimbus carried Gohan and Videl high into the sky, the wind whipping past them.

"Are we heading home now, Gohan?" Videl asked, her voice tinged with excitement.

"Yeah, let's go home," Gohan replied, looking back at her with a soft, lingering gaze.

Do you really enjoy coming to my place that much?

Whoosh!

The Nimbus accelerated, streaking toward Mount Paozu. Along the way, they passed over Satan City.

"Gohan... why are you taking me back to Satan City? Are you trying to drop me off at home?" Videl's expression soured, her lips curling into a pout. "Do you really not want me to come over that badly?"

"Ah... no, that's not it! It's just on the way. My house is in that direction, so we have to pass through the city," Gohan explained with a bashful laugh.

"Hehe, good!" Videl let out a sigh of relief. "I don't want to go home anyway!"

"Why's that?" Gohan asked, puzzled.

"Gohan, look over there! A speeding car!" Videl suddenly pointed toward a vehicle tearing through the streets below.

Gohan glanced down. The two shared a look and nodded in silent agreement.

"Transform!" they shouted in unison, pressing the red buttons on their watches simultaneously.

Click!

In an instant, they were clad in their new outfits. Gohan leaped from the Flying Nimbus without a second thought.

Videl froze. "Wait for me! If I jump from this height, I'll die!" she cried out in a panic.

"Oh... right!" Gohan realized his mistake and quickly flew back up, offering his back to her. Videl hopped on, and Gohan descended from the sky, landing directly in front of the speeding car.

The driver slammed on the brakes, leaving long, scorched marks on the pavement. However, Gohan's timing was slightly off. With Videl on his back, he wasn't quite used to the weight and took two steps too many.

BAM!

With a thunderous crash, the car shattered into pieces upon impact with Gohan's leg.

Gohan covered his face. I really didn't mean to do that.

The two men inside the car were tossed about like ragdolls, groaning in pain as they sprawled on the ground, seeing stars.

"You shouldn't be speeding like that; it's incredibly dangerous!" Gohan scolded them.

"Exactly! Look at the accident you caused!" Videl added, delivering the ultimate verbal finishing blow.

The leader: "..."

The lackey: "..."

The two men lay there, speechless and wanting to cry but unable to find the tears. Where did you two even come from?!

"You have to promise to drive carefully in Satan City from now on," Gohan continued his lecture. "It's lucky you hit me. If you had hit..."

"If you had hit the flowers, the grass, or some poor children, what then?" Videl finished for him.

The criminals buried their faces in their hands and wept. We're the ones lying here broken! Stop your self-righteous PDA and leave us alone!

"Who... who are you people?" the leader managed to ask through gritted teeth.

"Who are we?" Gohan blinked and looked back at Videl. She couldn't think of a good name on the spot either.

"I... I am the warrior of justice—the Great Saiyaman!" Gohan struck what he considered to be a cool pose.

"And I am also a warrior of justice—the Great Saiyawoman!" Videl struck a symmetrical pose beside him.

The criminals were devastated. These two lovebirds! And what kind of ridiculous name is 'Great Saiyawoman' anyway?

"We get it! we'll drive carefully from now on!" the leader shouted.

"Me too," the lackey added, nodding vigorously.

"That's more like it. I'm glad you understand," Gohan said, letting out a sigh of relief.

"Mr. Hero and Ms. Heroine... could you maybe call us an ambulance first?" the leader asked, his lip twitching.

Gohan: "..."

Videl: "..."

After leaving Satan City, Gohan flew Videl straight to his home on Mount Paozu. When Chi-Chi saw her son returning with a girl, her face darkened instantly.

"Gohan, who is she?" Chi-Chi demanded at the door, her voice full of suspicion. I sent you to school to learn, not to find a girlfriend. You just started today, and you're already bringing girls home?

"Wait, isn't this Videl?" Goku leaned in, recognizing her immediately.

"Hello, Uncle Goku!" Videl greeted him warmly.

"Dad," Gohan said, feeling a wave of relief. Thank goodness Dad's home.

"Goku, you know her?" Chi-Chi turned to her husband.

"She's Gohan's..." Goku hesitated. Explaining that Videl was Gohan's future wife would be far too complicated.

"Elementary school classmate!" Gohan quickly finished the sentence. "I didn't expect us to be in the same class at Orange Star High."

"Yes... that's right," Videl added with a slight twitch of her lip, nodding bitterly. It seemed she was stuck with the "classmate" label for now.

"Oh, an elementary school classmate! Why didn't you say so? Please, come in!" Chi-Chi's attitude did a complete 180-degree turn as she ushered Videl inside.

"Big brother!" A young boy came running out and grabbed Gohan's hand.

"Goten, I'm home from school," Gohan said, ruffling the boy's hair.

"Is this your brother?" Videl looked between Goten and Goku, marvelling at the resemblance. He's definitely a Son. He looks exactly like his father, especially that strange hairstyle.

"Hello, big sister!" Goten looked up at Videl and gave her a bright smile.

"This is my brother, Son Goten," Gohan introduced him.

"Nice to meet you, Goten," Videl said with a gentle smile.

"Mom, Dad... Videl wants to learn the Sky Dance technique from me, so I brought her home," Gohan explained.

"Learning to fly? No problem at all," Goku said, offering no objection.

That evening, Chi-Chi prepared a lavish feast for Gohan's "classmate." After taking her first bite, Videl's eyes lit up in surprise.

"This is delicious! It's so much better than what our chefs make," Videl exclaimed, unable to stop praising the food.

"Chefs? Does your family own a restaurant?" Chi-Chi asked, intrigued.

"No..." Videl shook her head.

"By the way, how many rooms does your house have?" Chi-Chi pressed.

"About fifty, I think..." Videl replied, rubbing her head.

"What? Fifty rooms! Your family must be incredibly wealthy!" Chi-Chi's eyes sparkled with excitement.

"Well... we have to thank Uncle Goku for that..." Videl started to say, wanting to acknowledge that their lifestyle was thanks to Goku's actions.

"So, when are you two getting married?" Chi-Chi interrupted, turning to Gohan with an eager look.

Pfft—!

Gohan sprayed a mouthful of rice directly into Goten's face. Mom, you were just interrogating her a minute ago! That was a fast change of heart!

"Gohan, how is school life?" Goku asked, ignoring the chaos.

"It's good, Dad," Gohan nodded.

"Goten, after dinner, we'll continue your training!" Goku said to his younger son with a smile.

"Yes, Dad!" Goten replied seriously.

After dinner, Gohan took Videl into the mountains to teach her the basics of the Sky Dance. Because it was late, she only managed to grasp the fundamental theory. Gohan let Videl have his bedroom for the night while he went to sleep in Goten's room.

The next morning, Gohan summoned the Flying Nimbus, hopped on with Videl in his arms, and waved goodbye to his family.

"Videl really is a good girl; she can even ride the Nimbus," Chi-Chi said, watching them go. To her, being able to ride the cloud was the ultimate proof of a pure heart.

"Yeah," Goku agreed with a smile. Hurry up and have a child, you two. I'm really looking forward to meeting Pan.

On the Flying Nimbus, Videl couldn't stop yawning. "I'm so sleepy... staying at your place means waking up way too early," she muttered, her eyelids heavy.

"By the way, doesn't it bother your parents when you stay out all night?" Gohan asked.

"My mother passed away when I was very young. And my father... well, when I was little, I told some reporters that he wasn't the one who defeated Cell. He gave me a huge scolding for that, and we've barely spoken since," Videl sighed. "I mean, is it so wrong to tell the truth?"

"Well..." Gohan didn't know how to comfort her.

"So, he doesn't really care what I do," Videl said stubbornly. She checked the time and changed the subject. "How much longer until we reach school?"

"At this speed, maybe another fifteen minutes," Gohan said, checking his watch. "We're going to be late."

"I'm sorry, it's my fault for oversleeping," Videl said apologetically.

"It's okay... how about I just fly you there? I can get us to school much faster on my own," Gohan decided.

"Sure, I'm fine with that," Videl agreed.

Gohan wrapped his arm around her waist and accelerated. Within minutes, they landed on the roof of the school building.

"That was incredible! It took less than three minutes," Videl said, checking her watch in awe.

"I can actually go even faster," Gohan grinned.

"I've heard... that for a man, being fast isn't necessarily a good thing. I wonder what that means," Videl murmured under her breath.

Gohan: "????"

He was momentarily confused. What does she mean, being fast isn't good? Surely faster is always better?

"If you have speed, you need power to go with it... do you mean that speed without power is useless?" Gohan guessed.

"You might have a point there," Videl nodded seriously.

They headed down from the roof to the locker area, where they ran into the glasses-wearing student from their class.

"Good morning!" Gohan greeted him.

"Gohan, Videl? You two arrived together?" the student asked, adjusting his glasses.

"Ah... we just ran into each other on the way," Gohan explained simply.

"Did you hear? Two new friends of justice appeared in Satan City yesterday!" the student said with a smile.

Gohan and Videl shared a knowing look. He's talking about us.

"Even though their outfits were pretty tacky, they were really strong. I think they called themselves Great Saiyaman and Great Saiyawoman," the student added.

"No! It's the Great Saiyaman and the Great Saiyawoman!" Gohan and Videl corrected him in perfect unison.

The student: "..."

He looked between the two of them, lost in thought. There's definitely something going on here. They're even speaking in sync. I guess being elementary school classmates really does mean they're childhood sweethearts...

Has a girl like Videl really been snatched up by the new kid so quickly? But can Gohan handle someone as strong as her? He'll probably end up being bossed around...

The student's imagination was running wild.

During class that day, Videl's watch suddenly vibrated. She pressed the button to answer the call immediately. Gohan looked over at her, surprised she would take a call in the middle of a lesson.

"Yes, Videl speaking!" she answered.

"A robbery just occurred in the neighboring town of Lanthos Road. Two suspects are fleeing toward the mountains along Highway 81," the police officer's voice came through the watch.

"Understood. I'm on my way," Videl said seriously. She turned to Gohan and whispered, "Find your own way out; I'm heading off first."

"Wait! How am I supposed to get out?" Gohan whispered back, his head spinning.

"Hehe, you'll figure something out," Videl giggled as she ran out of the classroom. "Teacher, I'll be right back!" she called out as she left.

"Take care, and be careful!" the teacher said with concern.

Gohan: "..." Don't just leave! What excuse am I supposed to use?

"Don't just stand there staring, Gohan. This is perfectly normal," Erasa said with a laugh. "Videl's biggest passion is maintaining justice. After all, she is the daughter of Mr. Satan, the man who saved the world. Though she did once mention that she started doing this because of a boy she liked when she was little... a boy who also loved justice. Since she's so strong, the police often ask for her help."

A boy she liked when she was little? Gohan pondered the meaning of those words. Could that boy... be me?

"Haha, don't underestimate Videl. She's way stronger than me; she's almost as good as Mr. Satan himself," Sharpner added with a grin. "You might be great at basketball, but in a real fight, you're nowhere near her level."

Gohan ignored him.

"Great Saiyaman, Great Saiyawoman, the Golden Warrior, and Videl..." Sharpner mused. "There are four heroes of justice in this town now."

"Hehe, that's right," Erasa nodded.

Gohan was growing anxious. Leaving right now would definitely be suspicious. He tried to focus on the lesson for a few more minutes, then suddenly stood up.

"Teacher! I'm sorry, but may I go to the restroom?"

The teacher waved him off. Gohan sprinted out of the room, headed for the roof, and hit the button on his watch to transform.

Whoosh!

He shot into the sky, then pulled a sharp stop. Crap, I don't know where Highway 81 is! I'll have to sense Videl's Ki.

Highway 81.

The getaway car was tearing down the road, with two police cars in hot pursuit, sirens blaring.

Whoosh!

The criminal's lackey leaned out with a rocket launcher and fired at the police cars.

BOOM!

The two police cars were blown into the air. "Haha! Drop dead!" the lackey laughed.

The leader grinned, but then he saw someone blocking the road ahead. It was a girl, and she had parked her jet-helicopter across the highway, cutting off their path. The leader slammed on the brakes and stepped out of the car with his lackey, both looking grim.

"If you don't want to get hurt, drop your weapons and surrender!" Videl said, rattling a pair of handcuffs.

"Hehe, you hear that?" the leader sneered.

"Boss, I've seen that girl on TV. She's Mr. Satan's daughter. She calls herself a friend of justice," the lackey whispered.

"Hahaha, Mr. Satan's daughter? This just got interesting!" The leader cracked his knuckles. "Let me teach you how to fight."

"Boss, don't underestimate her! She's supposed to be really strong. She was even at the Cell Games back in the day," the lackey warned.

"You coward! She can't be stronger than me," the leader dismissed him. "She was just a spectator at the Cell Games. She was probably scared senseless and went home crying after it was over!"

"Hmph!" Videl's face darkened as she tossed the handcuffs onto the ground.

"You know, for Satan's daughter, she's actually pretty cute," the leader said, lunging toward her with open arms.

Videl leaped lightly, dodging his grasp, and delivered a flying kick straight to his face.

At that moment, Gohan sensed Videl's Ki and streaked toward Highway 81 like a bolt of lightning.

"Ow... she's definitely not a normal girl!" the leader groaned, wiping blood from his lip before throwing another punch. Videl ducked and landed a sharp uppercut to his chin, sending him crashing to the ground with a cry of pain.

"Boss, are you okay?" the lackey asked.

"O-of course I am," the leader growled, climbing back to his feet. "Alright, games over!"

"You want more?" Videl asked coldly.

"You bet. Now it's for real!"

Gohan was now hovering high above the battle, watching the scene. Wow, she's actually really good. She might even be stronger than Mr. Satan! As expected of my future wife. I remember Dad saying he and Mom met and got married at the World Martial Arts Tournament.

Pow! Bam! Crack!

Videl gave the leader a thorough beating until his face was bruised and swollen. He collapsed, completely unconscious.

"Is that all? Get back up!" Videl said, not yet satisfied. She was actually enjoying the fight.

"D-damn you!" The lackey pulled out a handgun and aimed it at Videl.

Gohan's expression hardened. He descended from the sky, knocking the gun out of the lackey's hand. He caught the weapon and crushed it into scrap metal with his bare hands.

Videl looked back and a blissful, happy expression spread across her face.

"W-who are you?" the lackey stammered in terror.

"I am the warrior of justice who will never let a villain escape—the Great Saiyaman!" Gohan struck his heroic pose.

"And I am the one who will never let a villain escape... Videl!" she struck a symmetrical pose beside him. She had considered calling herself Great Saiyawoman, but since she hadn't transformed, she decided to use her real name.

The lackey: "..." Videl, are you serious? Why are you posing with this Great Saiyaman guy?

"Resistance is futile," Gohan said with a smile. "Videl, handcuff this guy."

"On it," she nodded.

Seeing no other way out, the lackey threw a smoke bomb.

"Idiot! You think you can escape that way?" Gohan shot into the air. "I'll go grab him," he told Videl as he left.

"Be careful!" she called after him.

The lackey was tearing away in the car, laughing maniacally as he checked the rearview mirror and saw no one following. "Haha! What a moron!"

But his laughter died in his throat as a hand reached over and tapped him on the shoulder. He froze, looking back, and his smile vanished.

BAM!

Gohan delivered a single punch to the lackey's head, knocking him out instantly. He then carried the man back to Videl and tossed him on top of the leader.

"Videl, what should we do with them? Should I take them to the police station?" Gohan asked.

"Just leave them here. I'll call the police and have them come pick them up," Videl smiled.

"Alright then," Gohan nodded.

"Let's head back," Videl said, taking Gohan's arm. They boarded her jet-helicopter and took off.

"By the way, Gohan, the World Martial Arts Tournament is happening in a month. Are you going to enter?" Videl asked.

"The World Martial Arts Tournament?" Gohan blinked.

"Don't tell me you don't know about it. I did some digging—your father was the champion of the tournament before the last one, right?" Videl said with a smile.

Gohan scratched his head sheepishly and nodded.

"Why don't we enter and have some fun?" Videl giggled. "I want you to beat my dad..."

"Wait, me? Beat Mr. Satan? Why?" Gohan was speechless. He's your father! Why are you asking me to go beat him up? You're being a bit of a handful, Videl.
