Sibyl remained standing for several moments after the realization struck her.
While the old woman watched her with amused patience.
Had she grown old so fast in the last few years? How was that even….or was it magic?
She was certain Daria didn't know her much though. Because her sister, Antoinette, interacted with her more.
The old woman stared at her with folded her arms, "Well?"
Sibyl blinked, "Well what?"
Daria raised a brow, "You traveled all this way. Don't you want to start speaking up? Speak."
The witch turned and walked toward the cottage. After a brief hesitation, Sibyl followed.
The interior was surprisingly warm. Everything smelled faintly of lavender and something else Sibyl couldn't identify.
Daria motioned toward a chair, "Sit."
Sibyl lowered herself carefully and Daria sat opposite her.
Sibyl cleared her throat gently. Then started, "I need your help."
Daria nodded, "I know. I just want to see if you would tell the truth."
