Luellen frowned at Leander first before throwing it at Beckett. Because of what Leander called a cute face, her anger couldn't intimidate the younger brother. She said, "Is that true? Please don't give my friend's number to a womanizer. That's cruel, Beck. I will get upset if you do that."
Beckett giggled and waved his hand lightly. "Just doing due diligence. That guy is still going to ferry us back, remember? I'll only tell him that Summer likes commitment. He will surely vanish like smoke around her."
"The audacity…" Houston huffed in between cookie bites. Beckett only pressed his palms together and did an apologetic gesture at the male secretary.
"Sue!" As if making Beckett feel guiltier, Luellen called Summer as soon as the other woman reached them. She easily got out of the seat through a gap between her chair and the wall next to her.
