Akira walked quietly behind his teacher, Ms. Sakura, as she guided him through the hallways of Musutafu Elementary School.
The morning atmosphere was lively, with children's voices echoing throughout the corridors as classes prepared to begin.
Akira, however, was slightly confused.
He still didn't fully understand why Ms. Sakura had specifically asked him to come to the teachers' office first so they could enter the classroom together.
'Why couldn't I just go directly to class?' he thought.
Then a possibility crossed his mind. 'Wait… is this one of those anime traditions?' He remembered seeing this exact scenario happen in countless anime from his previous life.
The transfer student would enter dramatically with the teacher, stand before the class, introduce themselves, and immediately become the center of attention.
Akira internally sighed. 'So it really is real…'
Ms. Sakura stopped before a classroom door and smiled politely at him. "Please wait outside for a moment," she said before entering the classroom herself.
Akira scratched the side of his head awkwardly as he listened from outside.
"Alright everyone, calm down," Ms. Sakura's voice echoed from inside. "Today, we have a transfer student joining our class."
Immediately, loud chatter erupted from the classroom.
"A transfer student!?"
"Is it a boy or a girl?"
"Maybe they have a super cool quirk!"
Akira felt like he was about to be presented like some rare zoo animal.
"You can come in now," Ms. Sakura called out. Akira opened the door and stepped inside. The classroom instantly became quiet.
He calmly walked toward the teacher's desk while Ms. Sakura wrote his name on the blackboard in neat writing.
Akira Tenma.
Dozens of curious eyes stared at him with intrigue and wonder. Some kids leaned forward excitedly while others whispered quietly among themselves.
Akira resisted the urge to sigh. 'Yeah… definitely feels like a zoo exhibit.' He gave a polite bow.
"My name is Akira Tenma. I am from Musutafu Prefecture," he introduced calmly. "It is nice to meet everyone. I look forward to working with you all."
He straightened back up after bowing. Ms. Sakura smiled approvingly. "Akira-kun, you may sit in the empty seat near the window. The one behind Izumi."
Akira nodded and began walking toward the back. As he moved through the classroom, he overheard several whispers.
"That guy is unlucky."
"He got seated behind the quirkless freak."
"Poor him."
Akira's expression remained calm. But for a brief second—His eyes flashed red with anger. Then he suppressed it.
He reached the desk and looked at Izumi Midoriya, who smiled shyly at him. Akira returned the smile faintly before sitting down behind her.
Soon, Ms. Sakura began teaching mathematics, and the class settled into the lesson. Katsuki Bakugo glared at Akira from his seat.
'Just wait…' Bakugo thought angrily. 'I'll show him what happens when he messes with me.'
Lunch break soon arrived.
Akira and Izumi sat together on one of the playground benches, each holding their bentos as children played around them noisily.
Izumi happily ate a piece of cutlet from her katsudon before smiling brightly.
"Umai~!" she said cheerfully.
Akira quietly ate one of his rice balls. It was slightly saltier than intended. But instead of disliking it, Akira found himself strangely comforted.
He remembered seeing All Might waking up early in the morning while secretly watching cooking tutorials online just to prepare his bento.
The memory touched him deeply. And amused him a little. The image of the Symbol of Peace panicking over a rice ball recipe was strangely funny.
After finishing their lunches, Izumi immediately leaned closer excitedly.
"Is it time?" she whispered eagerly.
Akira closed his empty bento and nodded slightly. But before saying anything else, he first closed his eyes.
He activated Sensory Radar. A pulse of energy spread outward invisibly.
Within seconds, a complete 3D model of the entire school formed inside his mind, along with glowing outlines of students and teachers moving around the campus.
Akira opened his eyes again. "The blonde idiot is spying on us with four other kids," he whispered.
Izumi's eyes widened as she quickly looked around, though she couldn't locate Bakugo.
"K-Kacchan is spying on us?" she asked nervously. "Why?"
"He probably wants revenge because I punched him yesterday," Akira replied calmly.
Izumi panicked instantly. "Should we tell a teacher!?"
"I can handle them," Akira said simply. Then he looked at her. "You know what my quirk is, right?"
Izumi nodded immediately. Even now, she still found Akira's quirk unbelievable. The ability to take quirks from others and even gift them to someone else was something beyond anything she had ever imagined possible.
Akira changed the topic slightly. "The quirk I just used is called Sensory Radar," he explained. "It sends out an energy pulse that copies the layout and structure of everything nearby and projects it into my mind like a 3D model."
Izumi's eyes sparkled with stars instantly. "Amazing" she muttered excitedly. "That would be incredible for rescue missions, tracking villains, evacuation planning, stealth operations—"
Her muttering abruptly stopped as Akira looked forward.
Bakugo was approaching them alongside four other boys who were desperately trying to look intimidating.
Akira stared at them blankly. 'They're trying so hard to look tough that it's becoming cringe.' He recognized all four immediately.
The long-finger quirk kid.
The sharp teeth quirk kid.
The neck-stretching quirk kid.
Those three would continue following Bakugo even into middle school. Then there was the chubby winged boy.
Akira's eyes lingered on him for a moment. 'The one who eventually gets turned into a Nomu…'
Bakugo stopped before them and grinned arrogantly while making small explosions in his palm.
"Looks like someone forgot they're just an extra side character," Bakugo sneered.
Akira stared at him with complete deadpan. "You sound like a third-rate bully villain from an anime," he replied calmly, "the kind who appears just to annoy the main character and the heroine."
Behind Bakugo, the four boys quietly whispered among themselves.
"…He kinda does…"
"Yeah…"
Bakugo instantly turned red with fury. "Whose side are you idiots on!?" he yelled at them before glaring back at Akira.
"You've been acting all high and mighty ever since you got here!" Bakugo shouted. "Acting friendly with that quirkless Deku like you're better than everyone else!" He pointed angrily at Izumi. "I'll show you who's boss here!"
Bakugo lunged forward explosively.
"Kacchan, stop!" Izumi cried out. But Akira calmly stopped her from moving in front of him with one hand.
At the same time, his other hand ignited with molten lava.
Bakugo's explosion slammed into the lava shield forming before Akira—And failed to even make him flinch.
Akira manipulated the magma calmly into a floating lava ball above his palm.
Then he activated Night Vision. Even though it was daytime, the quirk caused his eyes to glow an ominous red. The effect was terrifying for intimidation.
He stared coldly at Bakugo and the others. "Do you want to be burned by lava?" Akira asked quietly.
The four boys behind Bakugo immediately panicked.
"We're sorry!"
They instantly turned and ran away in fear.
Bakugo stared blankly at Akira. His explosion hadn't even affected him.
Still furious, Bakugo gritted his teeth. "Who's afraid of lava!?" he shouted as he charged again.
But in the next instant Akira vanished. Bakugo's eyes widened as Akira had suddenly appeared behind him.
If Bakugo had turned around quickly enough, he would have seen red electricity crackling around Akira's legs.
"You're too weak to challenge me," Akira said quietly near Bakugo's ear. "And with your villainous mindset… I can confidently say you'll never become a hero."
CHOP.
Akira struck the back of Bakugo's neck cleanly. Bakugo collapsed unconscious instantly.
'Grandpa Torino's moves are really useful,' Akira thought calmly as he carefully adjusted the unconscious Bakugo into a seated position on the bench instead of letting him fall face-first.
Meanwhile, Izumi stared at him with sparkling eyes.
"That was so cool!" she whispered excitedly. "Was that your lava quirk!? And what was that red lightning!?"
At the same time, she also looked worried. "B-But won't you get punished!? What if the teachers misunderstand the situation!?"
Akira gently patted her head with his free hand to calm her down while still holding the floating lava ball in his other hand.
"We'll just explain what happened," he said calmly. "Then the blonde Pomeranian will be the one getting punished."
Izumi immediately covered her mouth, trying not to laugh. Because honestly—Bakugo really did act like an angry Pomeranian sometimes.
