Chapter 116:
EarthYang Jian's Private VillaBeach
Gentle sunlight poured onto the pristine white sand. Waves lapped softly against the shore, bringing a refreshing sea breeze.
On the beach, four luxurious lounge chairs were arranged in a row. Yang Jian lounged lazily in the middle one.
He wore only a pair of black beach shorts. His firm, well-defined muscles glowed with a faint golden sheen under the sunlight.
Wearing sunglasses, arms pillowed behind his head, his chest rose and fell gently with each breath as he basked in the sun.
Beside him, Wanda, Mikaela, and Zhao Helen each lay on their own chairs.
The three women wore bikinis of different styles, enjoying this rare moment of leisure.
Wanda's red hair spilled over her shoulders. She held a glass of iced juice in her hands.
Bored, she idly played with the rim of the glass, occasionally letting Chaos Magic energy dance inside it, forming a small red light orb before casually crushing it.
"So, if the world really ended tomorrow, what would you save first?"
Mikaela lay face-down on her lounge chair, chin resting on her arms, asking lazily.
"Food, obviously."
Zhao Helen took off her sunglasses, her tone calm. "Without food, humans wouldn't last three days."
Wanda let out a light laugh and tilted her head. "I'd save books first."
This answer left the other two with question marks on their faces.
Mikaela raised an eyebrow. "Books?"
"Mhm." Wanda took a sip of juice.
"If civilization is destroyed, at least something should be left behind so future people know we once existed."
Zhao Helen nodded. "Makes sense, but not much."
Mikaela tilted her head in thought, then suddenly turned to Yang Jian.
"Yang, what about you? If the world ended, what would you save first?"
Yang Jian remained with his eyes closed, a faint smile on his face.
"Me?"
"I don't need to save anything." He said lazily.
"Because the world-ending event wouldn't dare come."
Wanda burst out laughing with a pfft. Mikaela rolled her eyes.
Zhao Helen calmly took a sip of juice, as if she wasn't surprised by the answer at all.
"Is that narcissism?" Mikaela teased deliberately.
The three women exchanged glances and smiled at each other.
"That's called confidence." Yang Jian corrected her, still not opening his eyes.
Sunlight poured over him. The cells beneath his skin greedily absorbed the solar radiation, converting it into an endless supply of higher-level energy.
He didn't need deliberate training or food. Just lying here sunbathing was enough to continuously increase his strength.
The amplification from the Sun Godhead was also growing stronger. Thanks to his own energy, he could feel that with just the Godhead alone, he could now solo Odin.
The power of this Godhead manifested as: the more energy in the body, the greater the explosive strength.
If it were someone else, they might need to absorb for a hundred or two hundred years.
But Yang Jian — what he lacked the least was energy!
Moreover, he was no longer just Superman. Relying on the Godhead, he could also use cosmic energy.
This was a unique energy of the Marvel universe with an unknown upper limit, but all cosmic gods used it to attack their opponents.
Wanda turned her head, looking at Yang Jian basking in the sunlight, and the corners of her mouth unconsciously lifted into a smile.
"Sometimes I really envy you."
She said softly, "Even vacationing makes you stronger."
The corners of Yang Jian's mouth curved up: "You can try sunbathing too. Maybe you'll develop Chaos Magic Physique 2.0."
Wanda laughed and grabbed a handful of sand to throw at him: "If only that were true. I can only keep improving my proficiency with Chaos Magic."
The sand she threw was blocked in mid-air by an invisible bio-field and scattered down.
Mikaela stretched lazily, flipped over, and lay on her back, squinting at the sky.
"Days like this are really nice! No need to think about anything, no need to worry about anything."
Zhao Helen nodded lightly: "Indeed."
Yang Jian gave a lazy "Mm," indicating agreement.
The sound of waves, the wind, and the occasional cries of seabirds in the distance — everything felt so peaceful.
If nothing unexpected happened, then something unexpected was about to happen.
While the four were chatting idly, a brilliant multicolored light suddenly flashed across the sky, followed by a powerful energy fluctuation sweeping over.
Boom!
A rainbow-colored pillar of light suddenly descended onto the beach not far away. When the light faded, two figures appeared before everyone.
This dramatic entrance made them look like villains at first glance.
One was a tall man with golden hair draped over his shoulders, wearing a red cape, holding Mjolnir. His face was resolute and majestic.
Beside him stood a black-haired, green-eyed man with an elegant yet slightly sly aura.
He looked around, his gaze vigilant and curious.
Yang Jian and the three women stood up and looked toward these so-called gods.
"Who are they?" Zhao Helen frowned slightly.
"No idea." Mikaela shrugged.
Yang Jian tilted his head and smiled: "A pair of tragic brothers."
Thor heard the voice and turned to look at Yang Jian, his face breaking into a bright, hearty smile.
"Yang! Long time no see!"
Yang Jian walked forward and nodded with a smile: "Thor, what brings you to Earth today?"
Thor was about to answer when Loki narrowed his eyes and studied Yang Jian.
"You're the Earthling that even Odin is wary of?"
Yang Jian glanced at Loki with an expressionless face.
"God of Stories, first meeting. Isn't it surprising? Haven't seen me before?"
Loki was stunned. What was this guy talking about?
He frowned, his tone suspicious: "What God of Stories? Who exactly are you?"
Yang Jian smiled faintly without explaining and turned back to Thor.
"What happened? Why did you suddenly come over?"
Thor's expression turned serious: "Asgard's interstellar patrol ships detected a massive threat within the galaxy. Father sent me to find you."
As he spoke, he introduced Loki: "This is my brother, Loki, Prince of Asgard."
Yang Jian only gave Loki a brief glance before looking away and continuing to ask.
"What kind of crisis?"
Thor took a deep breath and said gravely: "The Annihilation Swarm."
Wanda, Mikaela, and Zhao Helen exchanged glances, clearly having no idea what that name meant.
Yang Jian, however, looked slightly strange.
The Annihilation Swarm? How did those guys show up?
Loki sensitively noticed the change in Yang Jian's expression and narrowed his eyes.
"Sir, you seem to know something."
Yang Jian didn't answer directly. Instead, he looked at Thor: "Where have they reached?"
Thor's expression was grave. After thinking for a moment, he said: "They've already broken through the galaxy's edge defense line and are advancing toward the solar system."
Yang Jian was silent for a moment, then let out a soft sigh and shrugged: "Alright, looks like the vacation is ending early."
At that moment, a piercing engine roar suddenly came from the sky.
Boom!!!
A spaceship trailing black smoke fell from the sky like an out-of-control meteor, slamming hard into the sea not far away and sending up huge waves.
Everyone turned to look in that direction at the same time. Yang Jian's brow furrowed.
One after another — who's going to pay for my beach?!
"What's going on?"
The next second, the spaceship's hatch was violently kicked open.
A man in a red leather jacket stumbled out, coughing as he shouted.
"I declare! This emergency landing was a success! Out of ten points, I give it 9.9!"
Immediately after, a furry raccoon jumped out of the cabin, frantically shaking water off its body.
"Quill! I swear I'm going to shove your Walkman up your…"
Its words cut off abruptly because it saw the people on the beach.
Star-Lord was also stunned. He slowly removed his helmet and blinked.
"Uh… hi?"
Yang Jian looked at him expressionlessly: "You owe me for the beach. Otherwise, don't call yourselves the Guardians of the Galaxy anymore."
Rocket Raccoon's ears perked up: "Oh crap, we seem to have crashed in the wrong place."
Mikaela tilted her head: "Guardians of the Galaxy?"
Star-Lord immediately straightened his posture and flashed what he thought was a charming smile.
"That's right! Legendary interstellar adventurer, cosmic outlaw, the most handsome man in the galaxy — Star-Lord, at your service!"
Wanda rolled her eyes: "Does he have brain damage?"
Zhao Helen calmly took a sip of juice: "At this point, yes."
Rocket covered his face: "Quill, we're not here to show off!"
Only then did Star-Lord react. He slapped his forehead.
"Right! Big trouble! We're here to warn you!"
Yang Jian narrowed his eyes slightly: "Warn about what? The Annihilation Swarm?"
Gamora jumped out of the spaceship, soaked but with a serious expression.
"The Annihilation Swarm is coming. Uh, how did you know?"
Drax followed closely, still holding a dumbbell in his hand.
"They're bigger than Thanos' ass!"
Groot poked his head out of the water: "I am Groot!"
Yang Jian was silent for two seconds, then slowly took off his sunglasses.
