Jenna froze at the sight before her.
"Welcome back, Host."
The soft voice was calm, almost gentle.
Jenna blinked several times, convinced she was hallucinating.
"Y-you are...?"
Standing a few steps away was a boy who looked no older than five. His skin was so pale it seemed almost translucent, as though carved from flawless white jade. Silvery-white hair framed his delicate face, and a loose white robe embroidered with faint silver patterns draped over his tiny figure.
His eyes, however, were unlike anything Jenna had ever seen. They twirl slowly like the milky way, filled with countless stars, emotionless, yet somehow warm.
They are beautiful, hypnotizing, like you're being drawn into them.
The child folded his hands neatly behind his back and gave a small bow.
"I am System Zero." He paused before adding with the faintest hint of a smile, "Or, if you prefer... you may simply call me Sys."
Jenna stared blankly.
"..."
"..."
"...What?"
