"Hehe!"
"Blake said earlier that he might be nervous, but looking at him now, he isn't nervous at all. Attack after attack, it feels like he's playing in an exhibition game. He's completely let loose."
Mia Quinn watched Blake Su's stylish offense, her smile blooming like a flower.
On the court.
In the stands.
"Beep, beep!"
After Blake Su completed that stylish dunk, imitating Kobe with a behind-the-back hand switch and midair spin, Coach Gentry called a timeout.
He took out the starters.
The All-Star reserves needed their chances too. They had to be given time on the court to put on a show.
"Whoa!"
As Blake Su and the other players returned to the bench, the fans in the stands gave them thunderous applause. For Blake Su in particular, the cheers were even louder.
"Blake Su looks so happy."
Jessica looked at Blake Su's smiling face and could not help smiling along with him.
"Of course."
Yoona smiled and said, "He's playing really well tonight. He's made so many difficult shots, even some unbelievable ones. People call those miracle shots.
Of course he'd be happy."
"Hehe!"
Krystal smiled a little shyly. "Blake Su seems really popular, and... even though I don't know much about basketball, watching him play feels really comfortable."
"Right?"
"He's so fun to watch!"
Yoona looked at Blake Su on the bench as he wiped away sweat, then smiled again. "That's exactly why we became fans of him."
Beside them.
Taylor was clapping hard for Blake Su as he went to the bench to rest. Scarlett brushed back her hair, her beautiful eyes fixed on Blake Su, clearly in a great mood as well.
In short.
During the first half of the opening quarter of the All-Star Game, Blake Su's dazzling offense really did, just as Kobe had said, steal the spotlight from the other starters.
He became the brightest point in the arena.
"Beep, beep!"
Soon, the timeout ended.
The East brought in Ray Allen, Garnett, Pierce, Rondo, and Al Horford.
The West brought in Duncan, Parker, Ginobili, Love, and Nowitzki.
The Celtics' "Big Four" were all on the floor for the East, while the Spurs' "GDP" was there for the West. Even a battle between the reserves was spectacular.
However.
Because of Blake Su's earlier stretch of flashy formless offense.
Even the reserve All-Stars began playing with more flair. Wild dunks, no-look passes, unreasonable threes, and all kinds of showy plays started coming out.
"We can't really let a rookie steal all the spotlight, can we?"
That was what the other All-Stars were thinking.
And because Blake Su had set the tone, even though the turnovers increased, this year's All-Star Game became especially exciting.
"Nice!"
"This is great. This is great!"
"So this is what it looks like when the league's best players put on a show together? This is amazing!"
"Wow, this is a real visual feast!"
The fans cheered freely, completely immersed in the game and fully enjoying the thrilling battle between the All-Stars.
At the end of the first quarter, Blake Su had 17 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists, making him the best performer on the West. Of course... part of that was because his teammates had been giving him chances to show off.
For the East.
LeBron was in excellent form as well. He scored 13 points in the quarter, hit 2 threes, and also grabbed 3 rebounds with 3 assists.
In the second quarter.
Blake Su did not return until the final four minutes.
After all, this was the All-Star Game. They had to give every player some time on the floor. But... even with only four minutes.
Blake Su still played well.
He first knocked down a three, then assisted his teammates several times.
Then, on the final possession of the half, with the clock down to the last five seconds, Blake Su went coast to coast and charged into the paint. The East, trailing by a full 11 points, decided they were going to stop this play.
So...
"Step, step, step!"
Just as Blake Su attacked the basket with the ball and started his layup motion, Howard, LeBron, and Wade suddenly all closed in.
Under the pressure of three defenders, Blake Su rose for the layup but was forced to hang in the air and drift out past the baseline. From that awful position, forget shooting. Even passing the ball out looked difficult.
"A triple team? Seriously?"
Carter could not help complaining from the stands.
Carter also frowned, feeling that the play was dead. The fans watching it unfold felt the same way. They all thought there was no way Blake Su could finish this possession.
However.
At that moment.
Blake Su, already flying past the baseline, pulled off a negative-angle reverse scoop, throwing the ball from behind the basket. The spinning ball sailed over the top of the backboard.
"Swish!"
It dropped into the net at the buzzer.
"Oh my God!"
Curry clutched his head, his jaw practically on the floor.
George was just as shaken, roaring, "My God, what did I just see?! Blake Su made a negative-angle reverse layup against three defenders?!"
"Unbelievable!"
Steve Nash's eyes widened as he shook his head again and again.
Carter instinctively swallowed, then shouted with excitement, "Wow! Blake Su just hit another miracle shot!"
"Wow!"
In the stands.
Jessica covered her mouth and cried out, while Krystal was completely stunned. Her beautiful eyes widened in shock. "He scored from behind the basket?
That... that was amazing!"
"So cool!"
Yoona's mouth was open too, and she was completely excited. "Three people still couldn't stop Blake Su. That negative-angle reverse layup was so cool."
"Wow!"
"Blake!"
Mia Quinn, who was watching the live broadcast on TV, jumped up in excitement. She bounced around by herself, absolutely thrilled.
Beside her.
Several staff members who were also watching the game were stunned too, completely shocked by another unbelievable Formless Shot layup from Blake Su.
"Boom!"
Blake Su's spectacular buzzer-beating, negative-angle reverse layup instantly set the arena on fire.
At halftime.
West 75, East 71.
Blake Su had 22 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists, with 2 made threes. He was still the West's best performer. On the East side, LeBron had 24 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists, with 4 made threes.
A four-point difference.
The real suspense had not even begun yet, and the fans were already looking forward to an even more exciting second half.
...
Second half.
After switching sides, play resumed.
Kobe, who had only scored 11 points in the first half, began his personal show. He poured in 17 points in the quarter. At the same time... Durant also scored 10 points in the period.
The third quarter became Kobe and Durant's personal showcase.
As a newcomer and a rookie, Blake Su did not really intend to fight the veterans for the spotlight. In this quarter, he quietly hit 2 threes, made 1 free throw, and picked up 7 points, 2 rebounds, and 3 assists.
For the East.
LeBron also gave his teammates plenty of chances. He only took 3 shots in the quarter, scoring 4 points while adding 2 rebounds and 2 assists.
The player who went off was Stoudemire. He dropped 17 points in the quarter and reached 24 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists overall, keeping pace with LeBron.
After three quarters.
West 115, East 113.
A two-point difference.
The fans cheered wildly. Everyone knew the players were still having fun for now. The real battle would not begin until the final quarter.
That was right.
Just as the fans expected.
In the first half of the fourth quarter, the reserve All-Stars battled it out. Westbrook, Joe Johnson, Deron, and the others joined together to deliver a thrilling offensive shootout.
"Beep, beep!"
With six minutes left on the clock.
Gentry called a timeout. Everyone knew... after this timeout, the serious final stretch was finally about to begin.
